I have a problem... I designed a t-shirt using Adobe Photoshop because that's what I have been using since high school... the printing company just got back to me and said they need the files in a vector format.

I have the .PSD files that are unflattened so I'm trying to figure out how to get them to vector format. I am a complete noob at illustrator and I have been trying to just auto trace everything but its not working to well.

Does anyone have any tips or anything? Here is a preview of the logos I am trying to make into a vector format.

If anyone needs the PSD files to help let me know.

Any help or at least a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    • First Track Day in the 8

So I finally got some new tires on (Kumho Ecsta 245/45/18) and headed to Hastings Motorplex (MPH) for an open track weekend and a few hotlaps. After a couple laps with a ginger right foot I was beginning to find out what this car is really capable of...

I now know why the 8 is called a true driver's car. For the first time I was able to experience the true sublimity and perfect balance of the 8's chassis. The feel delivered through the wheel, couple with the new tires of course made finding the apex of every corner a breeze. This car is truly for an inexperienced driver (like myself) who wants to make himself look like a driving god.

Oh and the power... it never went away. Due to the wide power band 3.5k-9k there was no throttle lag coming out of a corner.

Like I said, there was a definite learning curve, but I caught on quick. This car is a completely different animal in its natural habitat.

There were photographers at the track I'm gonna look through their websites and see if I can't find a couple pics of myself.

And I'm pretty damn excited about it. The pay is realllyyy good and I'm getting sales experience.

Base is $8 an hour then you have commision, which is the real money maker.

We get a small commission on everything we sell and then we get huge ones for cell phones. Its pretty easy to make a $60 dollar commission off of one customer coming in for a cell phone.

Plus once we average $75 dollars in sales per hour, we start getting an extra 2.75% of every dollar we sell, on top of the commission.

We'll see how it goes. They said its pretty easy to average out about $16-17 an hour in pay.

    • Brief summary of the Coheed story...

      Zerotide2

      I. Second Stage: Turbine Blade

So Coheed and Cambria are two seemingly normal people living on Paris: Earth with their 4 children... the eldest; Josephine, Claudio, and the two youngest twins Maria and Matthew. One day Coheed, on his way home from work is stopped by an agent of the government of the Keywork; the alliance of planets ruled by the Supreme Tri-Mage Wilhelm Ryan. The agents name is General Mayo Deftinwolf.

Mayo tells Coheed that him and Cambria are actually IRO-bots, created to protect the Keywork in its time of need. Unfortunately their creator had a crazy side to him and he implanted the Monstar Virus into both of them. The Monstar would trigger a transformation in Co&Ca that would turn them into mindless blood thirsty titans that could destroy the entire Keywork. Mayo tells Coheed that his children are also infected and must be killed. Mayo gives Coheed a case containing poisons so he may do away with his children humanely. (song: Time Consumer)

Coheed comes home and Cambria has already sensed what has transpired. They plan to kill their children and then commit suicide themselves. Claudio and Josephine are out with their significant others and Cambria tells them to come home early.

Josephine is with Patrick in Jersey City when they are violently attacked by a gang known as the Jersey City Devils (song: Devil in Jersey City). Josephine is raped before the two finally escape. She runs into her home crying where Cambria comforts her. Coheed comes down the stairs after killing the two youngest children with the poison. "Maria My Star, Matthew Goodnight.".

This is where the events from the song "Everything Evil" Take place... Coheed kills Josephine with a blow to the head with a hammer and before they can kill themselves members of the Red Army capture them and take them aboard a ship bound for The House Atlantic, Ryan's base.

Claudio arrives home after dropping his girlfriend, Newo, off at her house. He rushes into the house to find the poison still dripping from the counter and Josephine dead on the floor in a pool of blood. He rushes to her and picks her up... with his touch she is momentarily brought back to life. She tells him what has happened before she dies again. Claudio is then attacked by a Priest (one of the most fearsome creatures in the galaxy) and surprises himself when he fades through a wall to escape.

Claudio then plans vengeance. It is also at this time we find out that Coheed has a brother named Jesse who is planning on shooting down the ship carrying Coheed and Cambria before it can reach the House Atlantic. There is also a rebel army led by a woman name Mariah planning an attack on Wilhelm Ryan's forces.

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3

This album doesn't really have much detail since the comics haven't been released for it yet... I think. It is mostly about the battles between Mariah's and Ryan's forces and Claudio and Newo meeting a smuggler (Han Solo figure) named Al the Killer who helps them find out wtf is really going on before he sacrifices himself to help them escape from the House Atlantic (song: a Favor House Atlantic). This story also touches on the Prise, who are angel-like figures who are supposed to protect the galaxy. One of the Prise burns her wings so she can become Claudio's personal guardian and help him reach his full power as the Crowing... a mythical messiah like figure with unimaginable powers.

Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV. Volume I: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness

This is my favorite part of the story... this steps out of the sci-fi story and into the story of the man writing it. Known only as "The Writer" he is just an average man but whatever he writes comes true for the characters in the story. These are purely my speculation:

Always and Never: This is about the writer feeling that his girlfriend, Ms. Erica Court, is becoming distant from him... asking himself if he will catch her if she runs.

Welcome Home: The delusional and psychotic writer has visions of himself coming home to find Erica Court with another man... he then proceeds to bury her alive as punishment.

Ten Speed (of God's Blood and Burial: The Writing Writer is now on the brink of insanity... his bicycle becomes demonically possessed and tells him he must not only brutally murder Ms. Erica Court, but also the Prise
Ambellina, who has become Claudio's love interest. The writer tries to argue but eventually gives in ("Ten Speed, If I must then I must.")

Crossing the Frame: I believe this is where the writer comes home to find out that Erica Court actually has been cheating on him and he flies into a rage. He also imagines Claudio spying on Newo with another guy.

Apollo I: The Writing Writer: I think this is basically a sum up of the writers problems, and parallel to his own story, Claudio begins to have problems with Newo and begins to move closer towards Ambellina.

Once Upon Your Dead Body: This is where the Writer kills Ms. Erica Court for being a cheating whore. I believe she drinks poison that he gives her but I'm not sure.

The Suffering: This is where Claudio finally lays things on the line with Newo, asking her if she wants to get married and stuff... and she denies him... poor guy.

The Lying Lies and Dirty Secrets of Ms. Erica Court: I believe this is the Writer finding out just what the extent of Erica Court's lies are... throwing him further into psychotic delusions.
      skip a couple songs... yada...

The Final Cut is where the Writer finally embodies himself in the story and kills Ambellina, throwing Claudio into a rage where he becomes the Crowing and tries to kill the writer... unsuccessfully. Claudio then links up with Jesse's and Mariah's forces for the final installment.

      Continued later... maybe.

    • English 151/ Creative Writing Final

      Zerotide2

So I have to write a 20 page creative story... fucking long but I think I can do it. I have almost 3 weeks to do it and I'm thinkin I'm gonna go with a futuristic sci-fi like story. Here's the synopsis I cam up with...

The year is 2113. The number of school shootings and terror related attacks on United States college campuses are at an all time high. The attackers have become increasingly cunning, and little can be done to stop the deadly and technologically advanced attacks. After a bombing leaves nearly one hundred dead on one of the East coast’s largest campuses, the United States Government secretly instigates Operation Silent Shield. Hundreds of college aged men and women, genetically superior and trained to be special operatives nearly from birth are planted in campuses around the nation to be a silent anti-terror force. As the United States totalitarian government grapples with imminent civil war, one of the operatives will learn the horrible truth behind Silent Shield.

So basically, I'm gonna write about this guy... he's been trained to be a killer since he was born. It's 2113 I can't decide if they are gonna be genetically engineered humans created in a laboratory or if they were just stolen from their parents or some shit. After being trained for 18 years he is equipped with discreet anti-terror weapons and placed on a college campus. He has a name made for him, class schedule, dorm, the works. Within a month he single-handedly stops a very organized attack aimed at releasing hazardous and deadly chemicals onto the campus that would eventually wipe out its populace. He is able to slip away before anyone can see who gunned down the gunmen.

So after awhile of this protecting thing he begins to receive strange assignments that force him to go outside of the zone he was assigned to and to assassinate "terror suspects." In one final incident he finds that he has just killed several innocent people that were nothing more than political dissidents speaking out peacefully against the new oppressive government. Needless to say he goes apeshit for being lied to his entire life. Ends up having to kill many of his old friends that trained with him and eventually going to the head of the agency directing the operation and kills the leader... all as the United States falls into civil war.

Haven't decided how I'm gonna end it yet.

I'm such a softie. The adoption lady was expecting us to bring the cat around at 5:00 on Saturday and when I was tryin to get my gf and the cat all packed up to leave she started crying. What's worse is that she wouldn't call the lady to tell her she wanted to try to make it work for a little longer. So guess who ends up doing that? Yeah you guessed right. Me. I called the old braud, and she was pissed to say the least. Cat people are weird... so now the little shit bucket gets to hang around longer. Further bolstering my girlfriend's resolve to keep him, is that her loaded parents decided they want to pay for all his vet bills and declawing. Terrriffficc. Looks like I'm not going over to her apartment anymore.

Just to take this conversation out of the Garage:

And I am pointing out the ridiculous double standard that seems to be plaguing America... yes Bush was a bad prez, but Obama is shaping up to be just as bad or worse, and he is still getting worshipped. Its making the partisanship in the US blatantly obvious...

everyone is okay with the government ruining the country as long as a democrat is doing it.

I agree 110%, but unfortunately the government no longer listens to the people. BTW, I'm sure this will probably piss you off as much as it did me (or more). I'm sad to see this country going down the drain while everyone stands around and applauds.

Well, I am not going to court apparently. The cop hasn't called me back concerning it, and if he does, its straight to a lawyer because I think this is too much time to wait to press charges. And yes, I have considered a law suit, but, then again, I have something up my sleeve. I probably won't do it, because it would be a waste of time on my part, but i thought of just calling in everyone that blows a stop sign, everyone that goes too slow, everything i see.

Oh, and the funny part is, when someone actually did stop in front of me on purpose to try to make me hit them, after I brake checked them for tail gating, the cops weren't there. I called em, they never showed up. The dude followed me all through town tail gating me even worse, where were they then. But I didn't do anything, and the pigs are ALL over me.

I am convinced I could have gotten 12's that night. the first run was my 13.2, second run I kinda sandbagged for some reason, and right after the second run, a junior dragster flipped. They finally got that cleaned up, and someone broke on the first run after the clean up. So, by the time both of those got cleaned up, the track was cold, and I was spinning when i shifted into third gear. I WILL get the 12's. Hopefully, i will have new tires in the next couple months, and I am pretty much convinced I will get it with good tires.

If I can catch a break in the weather, I am going to go on a photoshoot trip, hopefully with some of my buddy's cars. I am also installing some steering rack spacers, so I will have plenty of pics coming, weather permitting or not. there are a bunch of flood warnings out, so I assume the next week will be pretty shitty. Looks like Wed/Thurs will be relatively nice, but its spring, and that could change quickly. I intend to go to the same spot I took some of the last pics, so I can basically have a very similar terrain and stuff for a better comparison.

But yes, the red/black interior is amazing, and it looks awesome with the springs.

    • burgundy

I honestly won't know. I have a buddy that works at a dealer, and he is gonna get me the hook up on having a tech do the spring swap. All I have to do is take the struts off and take them to him.

In fact, I did have an older gen. It was a blue '96 Aero Vic. I bought it, but I wanted the newer body style. So, my parents were nice enough to trade me their '03 for the '96 cause it had the same miles and was in the same condition. Plus the '03 had a few minor gremlins (it was a theft recovery). So all in all, it was a fair trade. They then gave the Aero Vic to my sister as a graduation present, and bought my mom a Gold '99 Crown Vic.

Yes, the black grill is definitely in future plans. As well as true dual Flowmaster 40's. Getting those put on this weekend (hopefully), and I'm getting the grille as soon as I can. I would absolutely love to do black cop rims, if I can get them from a junk yard for cheap. I just love my aluminum ones too much to have them off for a long period of time. They're a rare type of aluminum wheels for the Crown Vic. I've only seen two other Vics on the road that have them.

    • burgundy

Thats about the norm for the prices I have seen around here. I won't be able to do much talking down I have a feeling... I am gonna look at trading the Z basically straight up, and the Sentra to take the price of the MSP6 down about $3k, and to pay off the diff for the loan. I am asking quite a bit from the dealer, but i have a car to drive, and I want them to make the deal. I am not going to budge until it gets closer to spring.

I figure, at the very least, I need at least $17k from the Z, and will need to get a few grand from the Sentra to pay the difference off from the Z loan. Getting one car payment, and insurance payment will be rather nice to have. If I keep the same payments, or get them a bit lower, I will be happy.

I am sure I will like the drive of the MSP6. So, its pretty much down that I am gonna get one. I found one for $16k with only 19k miles on it, so the prices seems to be falling pretty well. Do you know of any major problems to be aware of when buying one?
