Well its official. This thursday I will be moving into my first apartment! Me and two friends decided back in the summer that we would move into a place together. So finally I got the ball rolling because we were all procrastinating hardcore, and managed to get us all into the same room to call around. So we went and checked out some places last friday and we found the most amazing place for 1200 a month. It truly is incredible how nice this place is for the price. So when I move in and get settled I will be sure to put up pictures of the new place.
anyways thats all just thought I'd update you all on whats shakin.

I guess I should clarify my last journal as there seems to be confusion. So basically what happened was this guy at school who I'd been friends with from last year totally screwed me over then lied about it. What had happened was me an Jared ( my programming partner) were working on our programming project, we managed to get it done early because were both pretty good at it but ryan and jake on the other hand were struggling with it. So ryan emails me and asks me for my code because "he needs something to look at" because hes lost.
So he being one of my "friends" I email it to him and just warn him not to copy it because we will get into shit if our teacher finds out. Well come the day we get our projects returned to us the teacher asks to see me an Jared in her office. So we went to talk to her and it turns out that our code was nearly identical (much to my surprise) and then she pretty much just went off the deep end and started yelling at us about how we cheated and how we copied there code. And whats worse is Ryan told her that we copied him! And of course he has the balls to try lieing about it after but the teacher came right out and said that that was what Ryan had said so I know hes full of shit.
So thanks to him I now have an official write up on my record and a 0 on an assignment that I had put a good 15 hours into. So you can probably understand why I was slightly infuriated yesterday and just needed to left off a bit of steam. Anyway I'm not done with this. Gonna go and talk to my teacher before the exam on Wed. to show her that we weren't the ones who copied. Not sure how I'm gonna do that... might show her the email I got from Ryan asking for the code, I dunno that might convince her. Oh and of course ryan and jake got full marks and no write up.
Anyway RANT OVER!
Also, bioshock is incredible ( I know, I'm slow haha)

UPDATE! HELL YA!
wow... its been forever since I made a journal, so I'll just give ya a brief update since I want that old journal off my page haha. So what have I been up to you ask? well school pretty much. It's been my favorite semester so far in my college experience, I have amazing teachers (when they are there...) and my courses couldn't be any better! I've deffintely improved in my design skills from last year since I seem to be acing all of my projects. right now two of them are on display to show as examples which is pretty spiffy! I'll post some more of my work in my images if your interested in having a look see
So what else is new... umm OH! we formed a club at school hahaha, as cheesy as that sounds, but frankly its just an excuse to drink. We call it the social society for creative endevours, and its pretty much the entirety of my class and a bunch of other randoms who were interested, its awesome! We arrange guest speakers and then go for beers after haha, all a very good learning experience plus the number of school friends is greatly increasing.
mmk onto games:
Been playing tales of vesperia, and I can say... so far I'm not very impressed. it's to repetitive, it feels like I'm grinding even when I'm continueing the story so thats not cool... But I've heard later on it gets more fun atleast with customization, it also doesnt help that right now I'm stuck at one part and I'm not sure how to beat it haha.
Mirrors Edge I've decided is incredibly fun (despite kumiho's bad review haha) It's only as fun as you make it imo, and I was going out of my way to try crazy moves and do wicked awesome jumps and such haha but that's just me, and also the time trials are crazy fun, I love trying to follow the worlds fastest and see how well I can keep up, and it amazes me how some of these guys do these things heh, but I guess they have alot of practice. Either way if you haven't played it you should deffinetly try it (especially if your a fan of free running!)
And last but not least batman lego, its sweet! Never owned a lego game but I must say they are quite amusing, not really challenging but a fun game to play through, also me and kyree found the easiest way possible to max out your coin counter! So all an all a worthwhile game!
currently I'm in a Stephen colbert mood so I'm reading "I AM AMERICA (AND SO CAN YOU!)" which is beyond hilarious, he's such a strange guy hahaha, oh and if you wanna watch something funny listen to the speech he gave at a meeting with the president haha, its amazing, he literally makes fun of everyone in the room!
also re reading the zombie survival guide, because hell, you never know when a zombie outbreak will occur so I need to keep that knowledge as fresh in my mind as possible, which reminds me... I need to fortify my house...
I have discovered darren brown, you may have seen his video where he hypnotizes a guy with a zombie video game, basically what he does is he sets up this zombie arcade game in a pub, then when someone starts playing he sets off these flashes that put them to sleep, and then he takes that person and basically puts them inside the video game, he recreated the entire set, gave them a gun, and released the zombies hahah, man when the guy woke up and finds himself in a room full of zombies you shoulda seen the look on his face hahah I sure as hell know that that would scare me shitless! Here is one of his videos I also found amusing! (with simon pegg no less heh)
well thats all from me!
OH and the zombie video if you havent seen it yet:
real life video game

So! I've had an interesting past week. First off went up to edmonton to go to animethon. I did have a whole lotta fun, but, it was pretty much the same thing as otafest. atleast to me. But thats ok, it was nice just to get outta the city as it's been a very long time since i've had a vacation. Also found some cool stuff and finally got a chance to snag a copy of watchmen, which by the way is EXTREMELY AWESOME so far! I'm gonna have to check out more of this authors work because I also loved V for Vendetta. Also picked up some super cool hook swords. Not sure why but hey there cool and could go towards another avatar costume that would be fun to do.
Also watched the new neon genesis movie which was extremely awesome. You dont really notice any difference in the animation at first but once you start seeing some of the angels OH MAN does it look sweet!
Anyways, what I really want to talk about though is the week I had at camp as a camp counselor. This might bore some of you as I will probably be unloading a bunch of religious stuff that most of you won't be interested in.
So when I first went there I had my doubts. I mean I've done this once before but it had been a while... and lately I had been drifiting away from God. I had stopped attending church and I just stopped praying all together. So I wasn't really in the right mind set to be teaching children about Jesus. But luckily I got partnered up with a guy named Greg. He is such a great guy, so caring and passionate for the Lord. I ended up following his example and began praying again. And thankfully I was able to help multiple children turn to the Lord and help them grow in there relationship with Christ. I was speaking with the guest speaker we had at camp as well named Bill. He taught me so much and made me realize that God does have a plan for me but I just haven't been listening for it. I had strayed into sin doing things I shouldn't have and generally doing whatever the hell I wanted. As Bill put it ( the speaker) all of us are being sent on a mission. Some larger then others but its up to us to take the path. And I can tell you right now. That is what I will be trying to do for now on. I've avoided the signs for long enough so for now on I will be trying to find the right path for me. it will most likely be hard but I know God will be watching over me. So if any of you are beleivers I could use your prayers right now as I try to find out what I should be doing with my life.
It seems so easy to forget that Jesus died for all of our sins... and there is no possible way for any of us to repay him. But thanks to this week I will never again forget what he did for me and I will try my best to serve Gods will and follow the path he has layed before me.
Oh and just for the record camp isn't all sappy and nothing but worship. I had alot of fun down there with the kids and met a bunch of cool new people. But man those kids are exausting haha, it's crazy how much energy 10 year olds have! and when you have to take care of 8 of them at a time it gets a little exausting but overall it was fantastic!
Alright I'm done boring you now. So if you did read this here are some cool wallpapers in thanks.
Well thats all from me!

Alright so since I'm about to head off for an extended period of time I figured I should probably write a journal... as it's been a couple months since I've actually sat down to write one. So first off lets get my update outta the way? So whats happened the last two months? Well the first thing that comes to mind is my grandma passed away. That really really sucked... She was such an amazing woman, and what really sucks is how you learn so much stuff about them but not until there dead. Unfortunately this lead to me questioning my faith but thats not something that need be discussed in a journal! But thanks to everyone who helped me get through that.
As for other stuff well I've decided to move out at the end of august. I have two roomates who I'll be moving in with me, one being javoc the other being a guy named david. It should be good! Plus I found a website where I can pretty much get free furniture if I want! It'll be pretty crappy but hey, its a bachelour pad it's not supposed to be super clean. We will probably try to find a place near my school so I can get there easy enough.
School wise I will be attending again this year at mount royal in my design course. Should be fun! Lotta cool people there that I haven't really seen since last semester so I'm looking forward to it. Also I will be getting a car on august 22nd! My brother just bought himself a new car so the one my parents gave him I will be getting! I would have liked to have purchased my own car but this is much more convienent.
OH! and I turned 21 on july 17th! I'm now legal anywhere! not that it matters as I hardly drink any alcohol. For my bday we went out to the frankie mcqeen show which kyree suggested. And that was deffinetely awesome!! All of the bands that were playing were amazing! and of course Frankie stole the night, there energy was just insane!! course by the time they got on stage I was already super tired haha. Not to many people showed up unfortunately but it was still super fun with just the few of us! So thanks for all of those people who showed up, really appreciated it! Also one thing that I really hate: People who say they are going to show up and then do not. This happened twice with multiple people (had a get together the day after as well)
I wish I had that cake...
But whatever those people missed out because we went and saw batman opening night! And not a day since hasn't gone by where I havent thought about it heh. I mean common it was pretty much the most incredible movie I've seen in ages. I mean I've seen it 3 times in theatres and I still haven't gotten enough!
Also I've seen way to many movies lately... I mean really lets make a list shall we:
The dark knight (X3)
The X Files
The incredible Hulk
I mean Really this summer has been amazing for movies! I pretty much loved all of these, apart from x files... waiste of money hahaha it was basically a long shitty episode... but otherwise!
As of recently I have been getting back into photoshop, as I took kind of a hiatus from it. So I'm trying to master my tablet so I can become better and more efficient. But I will deffinetely have some new artwork for ya soon. Also I've been playing around with illustrator as well as just drawing in general. But those I'm less willing to show you because nothing is nearly good enough to show you haha.
As for just general stuff? Been looking into a lot of new music recently, just trying to find some new and interesting bands and I've come accross a few that are really awesome. one band that I'd like to point out that is incredible is Cake. Man these guys rule! I dunno what it is about there music but its just so chill and easy to sing to which is nice haha. Heres a taste:
and this song is just really cool even though no words:
That one works better if you have loud thumpin bass though.
VGs wise, been playing Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2, Beautiful Katamari, Metal Gear solid, and am currently replaying through mass effect.
Now time for a wallpaper dump just like old times!

Alright so its pretty much been forever since I've made a journal so I figured its time to update you all. Schools done, HURRAH! I only had 3 courses this semester so I either got A's or B's in all my classes. So right now I'm just taking some time off before I start working again (need to make enough to move out come august) But yeah its been pretty sweet so far.
First things first. Here is one of my final projects, we were told to design a DVD cover for my photography class usuing an idiom ( an idiom being those sayings like lets blow this popsicle stand, or theres a frog in your throat, or in my case, rule with an iron fist.) So this is what the finished project looked like!
I never thought I would pair myself up with stalin and castro... but hey ya never know. maybe one day I'LL be a dictator!
alright so I went to comicon a while back as many of you know, and it was pretty damn awesome, didnt get to much stuff but the comics I did get were pretty awesome! I got a series called atomic robo, and if you havent read this before, I suggest you solve that problem asap as its one of the best comics I've read in a really long time.
Oh I also finished my newest lightsaber as well, not a whole lot different from my others but I really like it, its very solid now so you can pretty much toss it around and it wont break on ya. heres what it looks like:
you may recognize it from eluna's photos from comicon since this is the one she was using at the time (until I fix your one heh)
So since I have alot of free time lately I decided to start drawing once again, and this time I actually had a request which is unusual, usually I just get photoshop requests which are alright and all but this was a request for an actual drawing from me! Alright backstory first, I'm playing a sci fi dnd campaign with 3 of my friends (think firefly) and right now in the campaign we just won a junk yard, so we decided to build a spaceship! well we decided that we needed a sketch of it done and mine was chosen! so basically I took it home and drew it all up to perfection and here is how it turned out:
she still doesnt have a name so I'm open to suggestions!!
as for other things? ummm well I've decided to get into better shape, and also gonna start seriously practicing my guitar (id be a waste if I didnt!!) oh also watching the new gundam series right now and I must say it kicks a whole lotta as, not gurren lagann ass but still, pretty good ass
Anyways thanks for reading if you bothered!

So just got back from a concert and I must say, it was pretty damn AWESOME!! Incase your wondering who I went to see, I saw Raine maida and billy the kid. Now I've liked Our Lady Peace since I was in the 4th grade (Raine maida is the lead singer) but man seeing him alone was just incredible. He always makes really interesting music and each album hes put out has had a very different feel to it which I love.
Anyways as to the concert itself, it was pretty kick ass, it was a pretty low key concert so maybe around 300-400? anyways basically you were really close to the band, I was probably about 10 ft away so that was pretty awesome. So Billy the kid came on as the opening act, and haveing never heard her before I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome she was. Shes also cute as hell hahaha (I'm a sucker for thick rimmed glasses...)
Then of course Raine comes on, everyones screams, my ears hurt... he pretty much played his entire solo album which was awesome, and hes incredible live to boot. And of course Chantel Kreviazik or however you spell her name was there as well since she is married to raine maida and she sang, where is my mind by the pixie's which was deffinetely a high point of the evening.
Oh and beat assassins creed the other day... what a lame ending... worst cliff hanger I've experienced in a while... but whatever I'll play the next game... not sure how it will work really unless we become a modern day assassin (hitman anyone?)
Anyways thats really all I wanted to say, if you havent listened to any of there stuff before and you like accoustic, then I suggest you check both of them out. Time to get back to my design project though which is due in approximately 9 hours...

aaaahhhhh febuary, the month of love! Or for the rest of us without anyone special, just another shitty cold month. So yeah, valentines day coming up... pretty much the only holiday I actually dislike. I'm sure I wouldn't mind it, hell, I may have even looked f orward to it if I was in a relationship but hey, that doesn't exactly come by very often( I also probably shouldn't have just watched garden state, an amazing movie but worsened the situation a bit heh). So as per usual I'll avoid the 14th like the plague and pretend it doesn't bug me. I guess that's whats to be expected from a manufactured holiday. Well atleast reading week is coming up so atleast I have that to look forward to, I just find it ironic that the reason there is even a reading week is because at this point in the year a college person is most likely to commit suicide and hence the reading week was born!
OK now onto less depressing stuff!!
Hands down my favorite RPG of all time. It was so incredible! never has a game drawn me in so much. I mean sure there are games that I play for fun but this game I was interested in every aspect of it from the story line to the characters to the gameplay! Once I get my xbox fixed I'll be sure to play through it again. And I can hardly wait for the sequal!
No More Heroes:
So I bought No more heroes couple of days ago, and I must say I'm a tad dissapointed. It's still pretty fun but its proving to be far to simple right now. I mean its the typical, press A to attack, I thought it was going to incorporate the wii mote more but I've really only had to use it when you finish off a bad guy but even still you can pretty much swing your wiimote any which way and it'll probably activate the final blow. But I will play it some more, only played it for about half an hour, so I won't place my final judgement on it until I get decently far into the game.
Well right before my xbox died I was playing assassins creed, when I first started this game I didn't think much of it, seemed pretty repetitive at the time. But once I got a couple of key assassinations under my belt I couldn't stop playing! OH MAN! and once I got the throwing knifes I couldn't stop using them! So once my xbox gets repaired I'll be sure to finish off the last assassination and complete it!
here are some movies I've recently seen:
Cloverfield: extremely unique feel for a movie, loved every minute of it! Do wish the camera was a bit more focused at times but the director did an excellent job of making sure you saw the important parts
No country for Old Men: mmmm pretty crazy I must say, had some twists in it I wasn't expecting, just watched it today so I'm mulling over how I really feel about it. It was deffintely an experience though. (also that dude was so freakin scary... shotgun with a silencer?!? RUN!!!!)
There will be blood: This movie left so many mixed emotions, the music first off was extremely unsettling... basically it played horror type screeching at extremely random unterrifying points in the movie, like right at the beginning its showing a mountain scene and then it starts screeching! ... weird movie...
AVP2: sucked as expected. well... atleast it was better then the first one, but still, not impressed.
Juno: My new favorite movie atm, it has such an amazing wit about it and I love movies like that. I think I have a crush on ellen page now too haha.
Ummmm not much to say really. Enjoying school for the most part, the assignments are far easier then they were last semester and since my photography class is very photoshop oriented I'm excelling in it which is nice for a change. I have a tech writing class which is pretty much the most boring thing I can imagine. Its basically writing manuals and other documents of the sort. It's required for my design course which really doesnt make sense since our job will be the placement of content, not writing it.
Ummm started a new DnD campaign *nerd alert* its pretty cool, I'm a level 16 wizard who lost all his powers except for illusion spells, so basically I'm the best magician EVER!! also since I'm level 16 and the rest of the group is level 2 or 3 this makes me the party leader so I can guarentee you I will be leading them to there deaths. Not on purpose of course! but I tend to say extremley stupid stuff at exactly the wrong time. apart from that though that is all that is new with me!
random funny video:
and what would my journal be without some wallpapers to ogle(oogle...?) at:
thats all from me!
