Today I finally received my Grifball Messenger bag. I got it as a replacement for my original RT bag. I felt that finally getting a new laptop meant that I needed a new bag to go with it. Both the old bag and laptop out performed my expectations. I got the bag about 6-6.5 years ago right when it was released. I used it mostly to transport paper files back and forth from work and home. About 5.5 years ago I got a job as an automation programmer and had to pick up a laptop. The bag was perfect for all the cables that I had to carry with me to interface between all the remotes and systems. They went with me everywhere. In and out of my truck every single workday, on every single job. In 5 years I can count on 1 hand the number of times I left them at home. About 6 months ago the front pouch developed a hole and could no longer be packed. That was the only problem the bag ever had. The laptop gave me a few more issues, but nothing that a new hard drive wouldn't fix. But alas, I had used them both far past their actual life span. It was time for their retirement. I finally landed on a Lenovo Yoga 13, and ordered the clementine orange colored shell, which would match the grifball bag perfectly. Unfortunately, I ended up with the silver shell, but I still had my heart set on the grifball bag. I only hope my new setup will last as long as my old one did. I had to take a picture for the old and new and link it here. I figured Burnie would be more likely to actually read a story if I linked it to his own site. Burnie or anyone else at RoosterTeeth, if you happened to make it here and actually read this entire story, thank you for all the years of laughs. I happened to find your original RvB episode back in '02 or '03. I was one of those guys in the military that could relate everyone of my squadmates to a character and we all laughed at each other together. I've been a pretty silent member on the site since the pbp days, but I'm pretty sure I've been a sponser ever since we could be (maybe short gaps due to CC expiring and having to get a new subscription setup). I have thoroughly enjoy your content, and will continue to support and buy your product whenever I don't have to buy clothes for my kids instead. I even sported the original RoosterTeeth logo hat to midnight launch of Halo4 at my local gamestop. I then realized I was too old for that crap as I wanted them to stop smoking and turn the music down.

      With big hugs and kisses,
      An always loyal fan,
      Ben Fisher

Well, this will most definitely be my last post from Michigan. It's back to Texas I go. I wish I could say that I enjoyed it, but no, I did not. The only thing that I'm going to miss is the diversity of food that Detroit offers. I'm praying that I don't have to see any snow, and the forcast shows that very well may pan out. I am not having very much fun packing, with a wife who pretty much just plays with our daughter the entire time, things are not moving along very quickly. Now granted, I hate telling her to do things so I'm not exactly giving her any direction. It's going to be an interesting trip with a 24' truck and a follow car. Well, back to taping together boxes... the sound that the tape gun makes when it pull out tape makes my daughter cry. It's going to be a long week...

So, as Halo 3 approaches, I anxiously await it's release. Of course I reserved the Legendary Edition, I mean, what else can piss off my wife more than spending $130 on a video game that she hates. Why does she hate it?!? Is it because when I have a day off I try to spend as much time with it instead of her?!? Noooo... couldn't be... I have two of my best friends visiting me from Texas to celebrate my b-day, HALO 3 style. We will try as much as possible to stay on task, but when the possibility to go three-on-three million with co-op will be so incredibly tempting... we might even venture back to our roots... Halo CE on the xbox... I know that every night will contain a rousing session of Risk 2210... So if you are in the neighborhood (Rochester Hills, MI) around October 10-13th send me a message, come on over, force my pregnant wife to set one more place on the table!!!

Well, I`m making this journal entry from my brand new pocket pc phone. It`s a Cingular 8125 and very sweet. For the deal that the phone came with I had to get the unlimited data plan, pricey but well worth it. e-mail gets downloaded to the phone up to every minute, and I can choose to have the attachments downloaded to a minisd card. anyway, I get my first full day off in over two weeks tomorrow. I will be enjoying much halo 2 and call of duty two. I`m debating on going out and purchasing another copy of halo 2 now that I have a 360 since I`ve got a buddy from work coming over. do we share a screen or play on separate consoles? The goal for the day is to get shitty on good oktoberfest beer, so does it really matter? oh well, thus ends a nother journal entry.

It's been way to long since I first made a journal entry. I've been working way to hard and not enjoying some of the simpler things in life like, you know killing a bloody noob with the butt of my rifle and then squating on him over and over again. I'm slowly making my way back the the life of computers, my wife has given up the hope that she didn't marry a geek. I'm going to make an attempt at daily, who am I kidding, weekly journal entries and a severe revamping to my website. I've got on the Stargate SG-1 kick lately nad have really enjoyed the series. I enjoyed it enough to even watch the first season of Atlantis and I had enough respect for Stargate that I didn't throw my DVD player out the window. Maybe I'll revisit Atlantis after the end of SG-1 Season 10, but for now I'll stick to re-runs of Firefly and Family guy. Please feel free to help along my return to the computer by finding me great free video podcasts for my brand new Cingular 8125 Pocket PC!!!

Don't have much to say other than the fact that I wonder if RvB will ever catch a movie deal. I know that it might be beyond the purpose of RvB, but with the new HALO movie coming out, is it possible that they will start using real animation or stick to machinima? I would also like to make a shout to all those firefly/Serenity fans out there. Let's make this movie hit it.
