Just like the title says, who do you guys think won? Or, rather, had a more impressive showing this year?
I'll just break down some stats for you guys.
MS: Games total:16 (11 exclusives [6 new IP], 5 multi-plat)
Sony: Games total: 21 (12 exclusive [5 new IP], 9 multi-plat*) *4 games with exclusive PS4 content/betas
Note, I counted the Halo collection as one and PS4's indie lineup (the one with Broforce and HLM2) as one as well, to make it as fair as possible.
Also, Sony showed a lot of notable stuff besides games tonight. Stuff like the PS TV hardware (priced at a pretty reasonable $99), new console colour, and PS Now (for the backwards compatible/past console catalog crowd).
Microsoft had only games. It was all about the games, yeah, but they didn't even show more games than Sony did.
Objectively, I'd have to say Sony won this year. Though, it should be noted that that Layden CEO guy in the middle of the Sony conference really killed the mood. His delivery was way too dry, and his presentation included too much unnecessary info about stats. Though, MS also stumbled in their presentations as well. They paused too much for applause, imo.
