so i just got finished watching a Korean drama called Princess Hours aka Goong aka Palace.

I really liked it.. Its not a regular romance story. and if your looking for Drama this has plenty of it.

Its about a normal girl whose grandfather was best friends with the King of Korea and the Kings last wish was to have his best friends grand-daughter and his grandson (aka prince) of Korea marry eachother. (so an arranged marriage)

So, they meet each other before they really know who they really are in a difficult situation for both of them.

They soon learn to absolutely hate eachother lol :)

Its a very comical romance and it makes you want to watch the entire show.
There are 24 episodes total each about an hour long. ( and no i didnt watch the show one whole day) lol

if you are ever bored and looking for something new, watch this if you are in the mood to laugh.

It's something strange to pursue, there is no right answer, it's all very conditional and subjective. I mean for any two people to be compatible seems fairly likely, but for them to actually fall in love is supremely improbable as made apparent from any person's endeavors to this goal. It kills me to give up so much control, to accept so indeterminate conclusion. Though I want a committed relationship, I intensely fear commitment. And there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to make it happen or much less to avoid it.

      Christopher Dane - Arathorn

Chris has worked extensively in independent short and feature films as well as professional theatre productions such as Mary Stuart in London's West End. Chris shares the same Scandinavian roots as Viggo Mortensen and is both proud and thrilled to be playing Arathorn in this ambitious project.

I've heard if you take tranquilizers and break the trip down into shorter segments.... it is survivable! I'd need at least a month off work (paid of course - to afford this whole thing) and lots of drugs!

I really, really, wanted to fly to Boston to see that exhibit - but couldn't get the time from work - or afford the flights, hotel, etc... I doubt that the exhibit is still on tour now - but perhaps as the opening of "The Hobbit" approaches there will be renewed interest. I'd also love to go to New Zealand to see the museum that they 'live' in - but that won't happen either - I am not a good flyer - and 25 hours on a plane would just about kill me - and that is only one way! smiley7.gif

      1. You're an interesting moral compass to compare to the maps of my thoughts. You've got a sense of things that I consider important and potentially insightful into the feelings of others.
      2. Stars by the Cranberries
      3. Lemon Lime
      4. The perfection of a kiss is a noble pursuit.
      5. My first memory of you is an illustration in a library filled with dust and Japanese books.
      6. The postured cat, ever elegant, and seemingly so without effort.
      7. What do you hope to do in life?
      8. You're always so very nice, and I really enjoy that.
      9. But we never seem to hit it off in conversation, and that baffles me.

      2. I'll tell you which song or movie you remind me of.

      4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me, if possible.
      5. I'll tell you my first memory of you. Interesting avatar pic
      6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of. Kitten
      7. I'll ask you something I've always wondered about you. Haven't gotten that far yet.
      8. I'll tell you my favorite thing about you. You go to Uof U

thats my next big break from things :/

Cheer up - it isn't that long! Make a "to do" list to be 'ready' for the holiday / break. Try to cross something off your 'big list' each day - bigger tasks for weekends. No task is too minor to put on the list. What counts is the feeling of accomplishment in getting things done / taken care of - and the pleasure of the holday coming - and all your 'chores' being done - so you can 'relax' and enjoy!

Be happy! (If you smile and people - and they smile back - it does lift your spirits too!) smiley0.gifsmiley12.gif

People's lives get busy, other activities replace time formerly spent 'socializing' online - lots of reasons for folks to 'drift' away. I know that it feels sad to loose touch. I'm feeling as though I maybe spend too much time here - is my personal that void of social interaction? Yes it is - but I'm glad of the friends I've made here. smiley12.gif

no your story was pretty funny. sorry if you take offense to that but it cheered me up a bit, odd, but it did, so thanks

I'm glad there's comedy in my telling, it was meant to be. And all the better that you can laugh at my foolish debauchery, for I would you find my antics funny than disreputable. I pray all mistakes be honest, so I will never be short a good reason should the watch come calling.

yeah my friends little brothers and sisters are obsessed with that site. idk, if it entertains them and its not teaching them anything bad i dont really have a problem with it,
still i do believe its good to get kids away from computers, cuz once they get hooked its hard to get them off it, just like everything else in this world, it can become and obsession

I think teaching children to play games of chance with flashing lights and fake money is a good way to program them to become compulsive servants of casinos. Interesting fact: only 2% of casino gamblers have a gambling problem, they account for 50% of a Casino's gambling revenue.

I think that children should be taught to use computers but not to dedicate all of their time to them. If they from a young age are taught to balance their computing time it will likely carry as a habit to their old age.

i know this journal was forever ago but i hope you feel better today

Thanks for that, I've gotten over most of that sickness, virus have a nasty way of hanging on. But i can still feel how one of my lymph nodes is swollen and this concerns me.

Also, thanks for the massive amount of commenting, It's been some time since we've had a thoughtful exchange and those are always the best kind. Do write, I will value it.

Why aren't there more strong female characters and heros?

Why don't American family movies ever feature non-suburban, non-white families or cultures?

Why do I have to write from the perspective of a suburban white male? ...So cliche.
i really liked your questions, it really makes you think, i like how you challange things.

The irony of my questions is that I have no choice but to write from the middle class white male perspective, if I try to represent the views of any other position it means I have to presume how other people with different backgrounds and brain chemistry think. I can do this, but I can't do this the way someone who lives this does.

very interesting. you come across as a player but what makes you different is that you are analizing your relationships with the girls you meet.
i think your trying to find what you want most but, i think you should take your time with dating, there's no rush, but ide try to stick to just one girl, if you dont like her, move to the next, but dont play with girls, i hate people who play with others emotions.
unless you tell her what your intentions are, or if you both know this will be a one time thing, then go for it i guess.
maybe im just old fashioned, but thats how i was raised.

I would say that I am different because I care about the people I hurt, To be fair non of those girls at the party were in anyway hurt by that incident, all were simultaneously enjoying my company, there were no illusions.

As a post report on that party, the girl I was seriously interested in at the party started a relationship the next day, her friend who also kissed me lives in another state and had a boyfriend, the third I did not kiss, and on a later date she schemed to get me drunk for meaningless making out. It was to this shallow situation that I was comparing my more subtle feelings for a girl I knew more personally.

I think there's nothing wrong with seeing options, and trying to develop relationships as long as there is no deception. Strange though that I hesitate to close the deal with a single girl out of concern that I might change my mind, where you see this as no problem. It's just a cost of life I guess, and indecision is far more costly action here as only one produces experience.

I'm not fond of mean spirited pranks. I don't know how well acquainted you are with this person you wish to get back at. We all have different strengths and talents. If you really want to learn to sew - it isn't that difficult - just 'fussy'. You have to want to do it - not HAVE to do it - and then you can learn to be good at it. smiley12.gif

creepy but cool at same time

These trees are called 'live oaks' - they have acorns - but the leaf shape is nothing like what I think of an oak tree from growing up in New England! In Florida trees don't turn colors and shed their leaves in the 'fall'. We have a massive 'drop' in the spring - when the new leaves and pollen come out on the tree - it is a mess to clean up and folks with allergies suffer for weeks - late March to late April. The stuff hanging down is 'Spanish moss' - it is an 'epiphyte' - a air plant that is semi-parasitic on the oak - it doesn't actually gain sustenance from the tree - but it can 'choke' (cover too much of the leaves to allow photosynthesis) the tree if it grows out of control.
LOL - your botany lesson for the day!

My 'new' car was safely in the garage last night - and I made it into and home from work safely as well. My "PC - pretty car" = the old Honda - seems to lead a charmed life!

I appreciate your concern - we are all safe - if a bit soggy!
