Finally dusted off Halo 4, and attempting to complete the Campaign for the first time. Still working out the story, but I'll wikipedia it after the credits roll if I get lost. One month til I can take some much needed leave back to the states (currently rockin out in Afghanistan for the year). Life has been good, and hoping to catch Blizzcon this year (tix and travel are paid for, now just need word that we'll be off this rock early). Aside from 12 hour days, working on my Bachelors as well as trying to play video game catch up (E3 broke my wallet haha). I hope everyone is having a great summer!!! Take care!!!

Won't write too much, but glad to say my youngest son's MRI went successful, his post-grogginess was interesting, but iHop perked him back up. :) At work, so can't write much, but looking forward to up and coming titles, expanding my journals (from 1 in every year), and catching up with RT and friends. See you soon!

In a hurry, but just wanted to let the RT world that I got married this Independence Day!! ^_^ Ironic, eh? Oh well, on a whole other note... I have a LOT of catching up to do on here, new videos, podcasts, features, and.... new RvB!!! YAY!!!

...And a whole hell of a lot has changed! Definitely for the better though :) Lost a lovely kitten due to disease within six months, but while I'll miss him, I'm making a note to self - Any pet from here on out will be an indoor pet. I've heard the "you can't keep life locked up" speech, and as I'm not talking about a child.. it's not like I'll keep him in a cage (well, one beta fish stuck in a bowl.. but whatever).

Speaking of child, hehe... I recently moved in with my fiance at the beginning of this year, and her... ahem, our, three wonderful children! Looking forward to finally getting everything settled so I can work on the fancier stuff for the future (engagement ring, wedding plans, all the 'bleh' stuff ladies love jk). smiley6.gif

Other than that, it's been a steady flow of work.. Skyrim was OMFG total awesome!!! ...And then the main story just.. ugh... Lately I've been rocking out with SW:TOR and loving every minute of it! Great job Bioware!! ^_^

All in all, it's been a rocky start, but this year is definitely looking up! Miss y'all!!! More to come!

Hey! About to pause Season 8 to head out, but spent the weekend watching the RvB DVD's and I have to admit that it's just straight bad a$$!!! I've watched 'em all well before via RT and as a smooth DVD series it's definitely still a thrill. But I gotta admit, Season 8 still drops my jaw via the fluid movement of everyone. Although I'm shocked Doc eventually became a 'medic' somewhere throughout the series. But, about to head out and I'll finish Season 8 yet again tomorrow probably. Caboose is the shizzle, and suck it Reds! Love it, have a great weekend! Miss y'all!

Good evening! I'm sure I'll probably miss a bunch of happenings, but hoping to sneak off to bed soon. Just finished watching the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, and ready for the new one on Friday!

I think I'm finally getting the hang of my new job, and all in all recruiting isn't as horrible as I thought it would be. Yesterday we had an event with the Future Soldiers (people who have signed their contracts, but are waiting to ship out), and it was a blast. Definitely got a workout, but it was a fun experience. They had a Drill Sergeant there break down what Basic Training's like, and I'm pretty sure everyone enjoyed it!

As far as gaming goes, I'm almost finished Mass Effect 2... oh! Before I continue on, I would like to note that I recently built a new PC last month, and it's an unnecessary but fun beast (16GB of RAM, really? I sooo don't need it). But the downfall is that I ended up taking a long break from my Xbox (until today) and played Portal 2, multiple indy games that are probably on Xbox live, and Mass Effect 2 on my PC, so I lost a bit of possible Achievement Score. It's been worth it though. I've decided to hang up my hat on WoW again until they can dynamically change it. Even with the 'post apocalyptic' world, going through dungeon grinds for the sole purpose to get armor and mounts just stopped appealing to me.

Earlier today I finally dusted off the Xbox, and I've been slowly getting through Black Ops with not too much pain. I'm still just going through the Campaign, but when an AI fellow soldier won't kill an enemy 5 ft. in front of him (that isn't behind cover), and then complains about friendly fire, it get's a bit frustrating. Looking forward to LA Noire, which I had kinda forgotten about until a cute friend reminded me (me being reminded of a game release by a girl? I must be getting old lol). So, I'll probably snag that for the Xbox when it releases.

All in all, things are going pretty good here in Florida. I haven't done much 'non work' travel, but Now that I've lived here for almost half a year, I am finally in a routine cycle with bills, cooking, and cleaning. So I think this summer should be quite interesting especially with the long line of new movie releases coming out. Also excited to hear the Army's releasing a new commercial campaign starting Memorial Day too, and should be showing a new Army commercial as a preview for X-Men: First Class! Which, as a recruiter, is a pleasant surprise as I haven't seen many Army commercials lately.

Just finished watching the latest video Drunk Tank, and was definitely pleased! Looking forward to Season 9 of RvB, and decided to buy the full RvB DVD set to have around, as well as to show the above mentioned friend the awesomeness that is RvB. And with that, I think I've summed up most of my recent adventures and look forward to many more in the future!

      Have a great night everyone!

Completed Borderlands, although I do need to go back and get the add-ons finished. Finally bought my first avatar items (and probably last), but I had to support my job! And yes, after almost 4 years I finally changed my job status from Stripper to Soldier on here. Somehow slipped my mind.

Right now awaiting Black Ops to install on my 360, and then it's time to show my fellow recruiters who's boss!!

Good evening all! Still gotta get dressed and get to the theater in 20min, so this'll be quick. Just hit 15k+ GS (thank you Borderlands!), and should have that game completed tomorrow hopefully (working on last piece of "Vault Key") . I'd love to check a guide to be sure, but I don't wanna spoil the fun in store! Although, I do enjoy its in-game references, and may have to rewatch the Firefly series for... ?? A third/fourth time? (I lost count.)

About to go see "The Rite" and hoping it's more meat and gravy story vs. "Green Hornet"'s graphic heavy comic story. Have a good weekend everyone! Good night!

      smiley12.gif Robert

PS - Is Black Ops worth it at the moment, or should I wait til end of year/game of year edition? Already sitting on unopened copies of Bioshock 2, Assassin's Creed Bortherhood, Fallout: New Vegas, and Prototype. I've determined FF13 may get finished once I retire from the Army, but that series seriously requires its own 30 day leave period. Oh.. and new Pac-Man arcade on Xbox? Bad ass!!

Indeed! ^_^ I still have memories of a chainsaw weilding Edgar from FFVI (FF3 for SNES). I'll never forget it, cuz he always wore a Jason mask when using the attack... and Shadow, which had a kitty sidequest I think... Oh! And Mog.. hehe.. KUPO! Ahh... good memories indeed!

Ahhh, the good old days. :)

Yeah a lot of Xenogears' Second Disc is text and stuff, a bit reminiscent of Evangelion's final two episodes. Then they insert battles every so often to make it more bearable.

Meanwhile, Xenosaga had a very good first game, a terrible second game that tried too many gameplay things at once (making the game broken in the way that fights were made way more difficult than they should have been unless you did very specific things ahead of time), and then the immaculate third game which every Xenosaga fan knows as a crowning jewel that should have garnered a lot more popularity than it did. :D

    • CielEmiya

Well, I call it as Xeno-series, but the games are separate and not connected story-wise. However it's also difficult to find copies of the Xenosaga games unless you live in a huge city with a big GameStop full of used PS2 games. And most used ones you'll find are probably of Xenosaga II, the weakest game of the Xenosaga trilogy (which I would recommend skipping if you go for Xenosaga. Xeno III has a pretty good database that summarizes the story of the first two games for people who didn't play or have forgotten).

I'd say start with Xenogears because you can find an iso of it and run it on an emulator like ePSXe (what I use). First disc is amazing! Second disc is when the team was rushed to finish because Square was dolt and said "We're not gonna fund the rest, get it done now". But the first disc is a real treat for sure. Worth it.

I will let you know ahead of time, though. Xenogears and Xenosaga are very story-centric. You'll have plenty of time for battles and stuff, but there will be a lot of story going on in between. They are both RPGs, but they're more focused on story-telling than they are battles, which is why I like them more than most other RPGs.
