Just about finished with saturday shift.
Yes, I worked x-mas. No market holiday in Japan. Regular business day.
Thailand was an adventure. I recommend you see it for your self. BUT READ UP ON IT FIRST! There are a lot of pitfalls that await you if you're not careful! (I guess that goes for any foreign country you visit...)
on a different note...
One of the things I love about japan:
"Oh, it's the end of the year! We should have a party!"
"Oh, it's the beginning of the year! We should have a party!"
"Oh, the cherry blossoms are blooming! We should have a party!"
"Oh, it's August! We should have a party!"
"Oh, someone joined the company! We should have a party!"
"Oh, someone is leaving the company! We should have a party!"
"Oh... We should have a party!"

It's about time for me to put up some new pictures.
I'm going to pull an AaDlRs and delete all my old photos.
Let me know what kind of photos you want up. You want picts of me? You want picts of Tokyo? You want nature picts? You want all kitties all the time? (or puppies)
Please use your better judgment.
I will either block out or obscure the image of my wifes face. It's not my right to have it up here.
I've got a few pictures of Mt. Fuji!
Let me know.

So where have I been for the past 3 months? Well a lot of my spare time was taken up with getting ready for our Japan wedding thing in October, and then we did a lot of work for our friends wedding thing (wedding ceremony, reception, 2nd party), and in Japan it's quite a bit different than in the states. (the ceremony is ONLY attended by close family and very close friends. the reception is attended by family of all relations, your boss, and some of your close co-workers and friends. the 2nd party is attended by the rest of your friends and co-workers, and is generally the biggest. So needless to say it requires a lot of preparation and work.) and that's what has tied me up.
Now, as for general things:
Work -> Home -> Gym -> Dinner -> Sleep -> Work. That's my general Monday through Friday routine, with the exception of Tuesdays when my gym is closed.
Recently I've been doing massive PC maint.. Deleting old and duplicate files, rearranging files in a more logical fashion. I'm also trying to migrate completely over to Ubuntu Linux, but that's slow going, so I'm also migrating over to Windows XP (yes, up until now, I've been using 2000 on my desktop. So what of it?)
I think the people up stairs either wear shoes in their apartment (uncommon in Japan), or weigh a metric tonne. Oh, and they don't sleep. Ever. I will hear them up when I'm trying to go to bed around midnight, and then again when I wake up at 5. On days when I don't have work the next day, I've even heard them clomping around at 2, 3, 4 am.
Needless to say, we are outraged to the point of talking about thinking about going up there to introduce our selves and asking politely if they would please put some foam carpet down to dampen the noise, if that wouldn't be such a hassle.
I think I've been in this country too long...
Ok, so now I'm going to try to read through your journals.
CG, you have 53 since I've last been on... I think I'll read you last :p
Silverkitten, you only have 26, head to head with AaDlRses 25 (who by the way has 18 new pictures up!)
Icehcky, 1 (that's still one more than me! Zing!)
Mangotea, 6. A nice number, just shy of Ennervance at 8.
Bey, 15, quite respectible! As is Kabuses 17.
Crap CA. 44? I guess you will be just infront of CG (and I was really looking forward to catch up with you!)

So, since I don't really do anything on this site that requires sponsorship, I've decided to cancel my subscription.
I've been a sponsor for 2 years now, but the only reason why I was sponsoring was for RvB. (to get the vids early, and to get the high def ones.) However, since I've missed the entire last season due to work, It just doesn't make sense any more.
I'll be sad to see my star go on 09/07/07, but it had a good run.
Studying: Computer Networking and Web Design in Senmon-gakko (practical training college). All in Japanese.
Favorite drinks include: Rum, Vodka, Green Tea, Beer (preferably micro-brews from the Pacific North West), Coffee (and lots of it!), and Sex on the Beach. (Because I can get away with saying "sekusu chou-dai" which can be translated two ways. 1) please pass the sex (on the beach). 2) can you give me some sex?)
Favorite hang out: Starbucks (most the other coffee shops, in Japan, suck ass in comparison).
