I'm still here kicking. Bought a new Acer laptop. Man I hate vista, at least I can get the new windows 7 for free. I hear that its a good system. Going on vacation in Oct to Bar Harbor, ME. Gonna do a lot of hiking in Acadia, the wife and I have been exercising 5 times a week getting in shape. I haven't been in this great of shape since high school football. That total gym the that Chuck Norris plugs all the time actually works.

This is why you dont have a bird sanctuary in approach and departure lanes for an airport. The bird that destroyed this weather radar and radome came from the same place that brought down the Airbus that landed on the Hudson river.

    • Why I haven't been online

When I moved to the new house a year ago, I was expecting to keep my DSL but it wasn't avialable in Highspire. I thought it was pretty dumb, a suburb of Harrisburg doesn't have it, but my parents who live 2 1/2 miles off a country road in WV have access. My only option was Comcast cable and because they were the only provider in the boro, they want to charge you an arm and leg. I didn't want to stretch my wallet too thin with a new house, so I was using my work computer until a new manager decided to change his last name to Hitler and blocked the internet. Now I have Bleackberry that I tether for internet. Its not to bad, just a hair slower than DSL. Hopefully now I'll be around more often.

What to put here? Lived in the new house for a year now. Its great owning some property, get to do whatever I want. Still slugging away at the airline, don't get to work on the aircraft as much anymore. Most of the time I'm on the bench reparing weather radars. Still have my F-150, its got some milage on it now. The wife and I celebrated 7 years of marriage a couple of months ago. I wrecked a Cessna 421 twin engine airplane, over the winter at my second part time job. Taxiing on ice in high winds with a big tail is fun! Wind made me do a 180 and buried me in a snow bank. I think that catches me up for the past year. Lets ses how many of you still watch me.

Yeah, I'm still around. The wife and I are buying a house in Highspire PA. Spent today out at the Reading Airport for the WW2 weekend. 20 bucks got me to see alot of old warbirds and bombers and a sunburn, it was 98. I'm pissed though, R Lee Ermey was supposed to be there but canceled at the last minute. I took my TeamGlock hat for him to sign. I expanded my pistol collection yesterday, bought a Springfield XD-9 sub-compact with stainless slide, pretty sharp looking.

      Later gators,

EDIT:, forgot to tell you guys, tomorrow, sunday the 8th is my 26th birthday, I feel so old! Sad thing is I have to work 12 hrs.

I'm still around. I've just been so busy this past month with two jobs. I was working 6 days in a row with 1 day breaks. But now all the planes are done being modded, I can go back to my regular work week whick happens to be dayshift. Took me over 5 years before I finally had enough seniority to bid it. This is wierd being awake when it was daylight out. I was very seriosly becoming a vampire. The next step would have been to start drinking blood! smiley0.gif It great to step away from the dark side. smiley8.gif You bunch of alert whores, I'm gonna skim over em. You think with two friends in the top 100 karma list they would spread the love. I haven't been modded in over a month. smiley8.gif Jeez I got 0 mod points. smiley2.gif

Got me a Ruger Blackhawk chambered in .357 Magnum. Got it used for $200 from a coworker. He bought it new 6 years ago, shot a box of shells through it and put it away, didn't like that it was single action. Picked it up this morning and already took it the range. Its a tack driver. Gotta get down to my fathers and load me up some good hunting rounds. I cant wait to shoot a deer with it.

      Luke 2:1-20

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.â€Â
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
“ Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!â€Â

So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.†And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely[d] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

I'm headed up to some "off-broadway stage production house" in Lancaster county on Wed, but I have absolutely no idea where it is (wife set it up), so I can't figure on a meet-up. Some silly Christmas production (I don't think it's that one in Lancaster, though)

Then we'll be headed over to the Philly mint for a tour.

Mine's 5W-20 as well. Warming it up is just an old habit I guess. The recommended interval on the Magnum is like 6000 miles! I choose to go every 5000 because it's easier to remember and because I'm not going to spend $5/qt for synthetic. I've always believed that the 3000 mile recommendations from manufactures are due more to a partnership with oil companies than with reality. But the problem is, I'm not going to pay $20 each time to do oil sample analysis when I can change the oil for the same price and just be done with it.

Also, I always do the first change a bit early (500-1000 miles) to drain out any metal and such that may have gotten into the oil while the cylinders and pistons were wearing in.
