I must have misread what you said, it had sounded to me that you were totally dismissing the whole situation and that money makes up for everything. Yeah, he got a good severance, did something not many have... but maybe this just struck me pretty hard because, well, it reminds me of what my ex did to me.
Ten years together, he cheated on me, did horrible things.... but in the end, I had got to live in England, visit places like Rome, and I came back to the US in the worse economy ever, but got a pretty good job right away, so yeah, could be worse and I dont' regret any of it...

but does that make what he did hurt me any less? not at all...

Actually, there is a lot that I still wouldn't do if you put 32mil in front of me... and I think you miss the point... it's about dreams, about honor, about the fact that his family, his staff, and their family's, moved across the country...

there are some things even money can't make up for...

i liked human target. but then again i don't have a lot on my TV list. there was a nice cameo at the end that both me and my mom got a kick out of for being so unexpected. danny glover.

on a side note, baraxis and i have been talking alot of avatar lately and it has me watching season one again. something that occurred to me after watching the beach episode, tylee leaves to join the circus because she is surrounded by sisters that look like her and she has no idenity. she goes on her journey with azual fight the avatar only to betray her and in the end join up with the kyoshi warriors....who all look a like. smiley0.gif i fucking love this show.

      did you watch human target?

for me it was like finding out your best friend is the douche bag manipulating you from your girlfriend. what do you think kate's story is? i still think that when she turned on the light peter that she looked like pete's wife, coupled with the fact that it was fairly easy for peter to get in contact with her, i think she is his wife's sister.

what did you think of it? i'm not sure how i feel yet. with how the first half ended, with peter being revealed as the man with the ring and the it was like sike, just kidding there are millions of these rings.

I think they need to have Star Trek DVD collection of episodes in memory of Data. The first episode should be "A Firstful of Data's".

      How were your holidays?

You might want to be careful about how loudly you proclaim that. Celticpred lost his account for "circumventing" a ban. I use quotes because, from what he says, he just logged in normally with no idea that the ban had taken place, and an admin declared that he was circumventing the ban he didn't know he had and deleted his account.

Just saying, you might want to be cautious about these things. Some people get sensative about it.

That's just ridiculous though. I'm not trying to circumvent a ban. I'm logging on where I normally log on at (at work). The ban was stupid anyway. I guess if someone wants to make a big deal out of it they can.

I did nothing wrong. I did not mod boost those journals in any way. If any Admin or Staff had bothered to look into the issue they would know that. I even made a journal about the stupid issue on Christmas with the "junk" journals.

I neg modded those as well because they deserved it. I thought that was the point of the mod system, you know to show our love or distaste for something. That's what I did and I got banned for it.

Had anyone looked into the issue it should be obvious that I was trying to do the right thing and that I though the instance on Christmas Day and on New Year's day were both terrible and the parties involved should be banned.

Note: I AM NOT THE PARTIES INVOLVED!

Yeah their dynamic was the strongest part of the movie. I love when he runs down all the things he complains about and then after all of it, Holmes just says 'you're tired and being sensitive.' I laughed out loud.

Oh I knew from the beginning that the guy was a con artist. It's Holmes. It was always about debugging supernatural superstition because he'd solve cases everyone else thought were impossible or magic. I knew about the trick with the hanging because I've actually read that in a book before. I'm trying to remember which one because I remember very well that I thought it was kind of awesome. Maybe that's why I was bored by the story. I'm like 'a con artist who wants power and tricks stupid people to get it, yawn.' LOL.

I just thought there were a lot of Holmes stories that were more intricate and more interesting, so they could've just developed one that already happened. But I do get why they did this one instead. It was new, for one, and for two it was on a grand scale so it's not just 'only important to Holmes' but a 'world domination thing.' Which personally I didn't think was necessary, but whatever, I do get why they did it.

    • ChipperHalf

Besides we all know the only real romance he has in his life is with Watson.

      smiley8.gif

    • ChipperHalf

I know that, but I believe in subtext and I always felt there was a potential romance underneath. Maybe not one that was ever spoken, but one that could have been developed if Doyle ever wanted it to be. Of course it's just conjecture or assumption on the part of the readers, but I always got that vibe from it. So I'm not shocked in the least that it was brought up in this version. If Holmes could ever feel anything for a woman, it would be for Irene.

    • ChipperHalf

Irene was always a love interest of Holmes. I mean not openly in the way they showed it there, but she was the only woman he ever cared about. Because she outwitted him. He was connected to her in a not-friendly manner so there was always that little touch of cat and mouse romance there. Just not as obvious as they played it in the film, but it wasn't made up at least.

I must live in a bizarre little bubble. I don't know anyone that likes it, everyone on campus is complaining about how racist it is, and the only reviews I've read from people online have been so insanely negative. People have cheered on the special effects, but they did the same for Star Wars Prequel. That has nothing to do with the movie and everything to do with other people excited for the future of movie making.

I'll explain the deal with John later. It's not as cut and dry as "I just want to be friends." It's more the "it's not you it's me" but for real. LOL. Not the lying girl way out. Literally. It's not him it's me. Haha.

Yeah I don't mind if that's the diagnosis, because it means I can get the meds and handling that I need to and maybe won't have bad nights like that anymore.

Just some bits of dialogue. It wasn't bad, far from it. There was some really good stuff too, but I think you're dialogue was a little weaker then the rest of it.

It's better like a sequel should be, but it's worth getting the first game. The first one is pretty epic as well. They're both excellent games. The only references the second game makes to the first one is with the characters, since they're introduced then.

I was listening to Retcast and I mentioned the poll. Thought I'd let you know.

But you're right, Poet is doing his SH2 thing. But when it's over, I expect the final chapters. I don't want to have start threatening you.
