      Emma is a slacker
      Ok, soooo
-Royce moved to Perth and we're living together now.
-Wanting to make the r'ship "official". Hopefully some BIG news by the end of the year! It will be 4 years in January that we've been together!
      *hint hint Royce*
-Just about to finish my 3rd year at uni. I FINISH my degree at the end of next year. I can remember telling everyone when I STARTED uni, and now I am almost finished! haha!
-Just finished 5 week prac. Hard and rewarding. I am still a good teacher!
-Work with Coles- well, yeah. No change. Love it but looking forward to giving it up next year!
-Potentially going back to Gero for Prac (ATP 10 weeks) next April...hmmm...
-Planning a trip over East to meet Royce's fam.
-Turned 21 this year in May. A good night. R is 21 in December, so it's going to be a looong month!
      - A pretty uneventful life really!
      xx
      :)

It makes me laugh when I think of how I used to log onto this site every day without fail ( KATIE: those were the days of year 12 huh?) and now I am lucky if I am on here once a week, and you guys are lucky if you get an Emma update more than about once a month! :-)
I guess it shows how like progreses with business as we do different things.

-Happy Easter to everyone- have a safe break, and come back refreshed and relaxed!

-The end of a very stressful few uni weeks- High Distinction for one of my group assessments for one of the Education units :) happy with it, but my god the dramas with the group! Moral of the story? DON'T EVER EVER work in that group again!

-Assessments also went in for Drawing and my other Ed unit- results after the uni break I think. Printmaking is next which will be interesting, seeing as I have done no work for it! haha.

      - The stress of the last few weeks made me fall in a heap last Friday and I got sick! Great timing, but I am over it now- only took a week :( Toilet and Emma? BBFs!

-Royce is coming down for Easter!!! So happy, because I have really been missing him. More than last time...

-Getting a 'new' car. Well, not new, but new for me! My nanna ( Perth nanna) got a new car, so she's giving me her Toyota Corolla for $2000. Compared to my Mazda, Corolla is the life of luxury! 4 ( FOUR!!) doors, air conditioning ( AIR CON!!!), auto ( NO GEARS!!!), and it will let me blend into mundane everyday driving, just like everyone else! And I don't run the risk of having my car keyed when I go to Gero now.
Yeah Gero is like that. Classy.

      - I want my own house. So bad. I am actually seriously toying with the idea of using the $21,000 1st Buyers Grant to get a unit or something in Mt Lawley- just find a housemate to help make re-payments...
It is do-able, buuuutttt......I don't know much about it, so I think I should just let this idea go! For another 4 years or so anyway.

-Thats about it for now! Hope you're all well and happy!

    • Where did we last leave off???

      ellichoc

Ummmm well lets see...Work is going well. Everyone is so happy to have me there, so i feel special! Sally- my manager- is starting Saturday shifts with me again, so I am thriled! She's so nice and lovley.
RA business- going well, pretty cruis. I've organised our fist village event for the year- a trip to the Fremantle Jail on Firday the 13th. We;re taking a night tour just to get everyone good and scared! :D
Mentoring- is shit. So far NO ONE has come to see me and I am really feeling like it is a bit of a waste. Still, the experience will look good on my Teaching CV.
Uni, I am findng indiffrerent this year. We had to go to class on a public holiday :( (FAIL) and draw a nude model at 9am. Waaaayyy too early for that! My teaching units are full on but interesting and I am looking forward to Prac- if I make it that far!
Money situation isn't looking good- I have had rent, textbooks, food, studio fees and car insurance to pay for so >.< ouch! It's really horrible to be so stressed about money. It's not a good feeling.
But other than that, not much else has changed! Hope you guys are all well and life is going great!

      * EDIT*
ALSO going back to Melbourne at the end of the year to meeto some of Royce's family. I haven't met anyone outside his immediate fam, so I'm excited to meet the rellies- his grandmother and some uncles, aunts and cousins i think!! It's exciting to think about. I hope they like me!

    • Okey Dokey!!!!

Now, believe it or not, I am still alive.
I'm back in Perth and all moved into my shiny new unit, with my massive room :)!!!
I had a very boring summer, just working as a Deli Assistant at Coles in Gero. It was fun, except for the grumpy customers. I worked with a great bunch of people and I'm, looking forward to returning for a month in July.

It was great to spend most of my spare time with Royce, wether it be at his place, or mine, or wherevever I was housesitting! We had an awesome 2 year anniversary as well, which was nice. Will post photos ASAP.

I got off my P plates today, so FREEDOM!! as a proper adult- can drink and drive if I want to! Not that I will :)

Addtionally, not only am I RA- Residential Assistant- in the village, which involves breaking up drunken parties and helping out other residents, I've also been selected as an Education Mentor to the 1st year Ed students- I get my own office and everything! AND I have work too, back in the Bakery at Coles in Perth.
Have I bitten off more than I can chew?
Probably! But its all going to be great this year, I can feel it!

      Smile- it scares people!

      Happy New year all!
Not much to report. Pretty much just working to earn some $$$ to pay rent for this year and spending all my free time with Royce.
I haven't been paied since I left Perth in Novermber, so I'm pretty poor. It will be worth it in the end, I'm hoping!
Its been pretty hot, so I've had to deal with shitty customers. Joys of retail!
Hope you are all well and that the new year brings you all peace and happiness!

Royce and I had our fist Christmas 'together'. His parentals were away, so it was up to me to organise our day!
We woke around 8, exchanged our gifts to each other, went to my parents place, did more gifts and had a yummy brekkie, Mum and I attempted Guitar Hero 3- needless to say, I sucked at it!
Then we went to our mate's place for lunch. Poor Matt wasn't well, so it wasa yummy, yet quiet affair.
Headed back home to get ready for dinner and spent the evening at Granny's place, which was hwere X-mas dinner was held.
Nice to see all the family and got several comments about my dress!
Got quite merry on one to many cocktails then headed back to Matts for some more drinks to cap the night off.
All in all, a good day, and the best bit? It wasn't hot!!!

    • My Holiday...

      ellichoc

Well, here is the promised ( if somewhat short) entry about my holiday last week....
We explored 3 ciies in total, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney, in that order.
I loved Melbourne the most, with its countless coffee shops, tucked away in laneways, the SHOPPNG is awesome and the art gallery is pretty spectacular, with its water wall- my favourite attraction in the whole city! LOL!
      Small things...
We saw lots of touristy things while we were in Melb, but I have to say my favourite bits were the art gallery and the coffee- food in general is soooo cheap- we're being ripped, here in the West!
We treckked up to Canberra- flew for a whole hours, as opposed to 9 hours on the train...
Canberra is pretty surroundings wise, but seems to be a pretty sleepy place for the nation's capital...
We went to see the National Gallery- surprise, surprise- the War Memorial and the museum, all of which were AWESOME to see, and then it was off to Sydney.
I found that I didn't like Sydney very much, despite all the attractions- it was just TOO much, if you get my drift...
Went ( are you even slightly shocked by now) to the Sydney Gallery, where, much to my delight, there was a Monet and Impressionist artist exhibition, so it was a MUST see!
Also took a visit to the Botanic Gardens, where my cousin and I lost my aunty and grandmother, both of whom have an obsession with gardens!
We eventually meandered down to the harbour where we visited our icons, the harbour bridge and the opera house.
We spent our last day at Darling Harbour, seeing all the sights on a cruise, taking in the views and the sun.
I liked Sydney, but I'm not in a hurry to vist there again.
Melbourne, I'd go back tomorrow if I could!

    • Well...

      ellichoc

I'm surprised I wasnt alert raped while i was away! Lol!
Anyway, back from my holiday- it was AWESOME!
I'll update proper when I have photos to go with it!

    • Its been 8 whole days

      ellichoc

      I FINALLY HAVE INTERNET!!!!
Its been a long and anxious wait to have my internetz back- it couldn't have come at a worse time- right before all my assessments are due! BUT its back, so all is well again.
Only 3 days to go til we fly out for Sydney, then Canberra, then glorious Melbourne! I think the trip is going to be fantastic, and well deerved after the stress that I've been ( and still am) under! Nothing but shopping, touristing, ART GALLERIES!, coffee and photo taking...
I'm looking forward to spending the week with Granny- I haven't seen her since August! :(

Only a few days left to get all my assessments done though. We finished on today, so I'm relieved we don't have to go around semi-naked in public again.
Just have paintings to finish, sculpture class on Friday, and Ceramics folio to do, then I'm done!
Wish me luck. I'm exhausted, and i can't stop now!

      *EDIT*
Also, on top of everything else, a friend of mine from uni has just discovered she is pregnant...I was her go-to person- I even had to buy the pregnancy test for her, because she was scared!
She didn't want to do it at her house, so we trooped to mine to find out her suspisions were indeed correct. She's scared but optimistic. I'm just doing my best to support her.
