What a shitty day that turned out to be. First, the Seahawks were robbed. ROBBED! I lost money on that game. After that, (and a few drinks) a couple friends and I were headed to his house for the rest of the night, when some asshole passed me on the right, cut me off, and slammed on his brakes. I wind up hitting him in my new car and getting a DUI. After everything, I find out that my insurance company has cancelled me due to nonpayment all the way back in Nov. Well, they never sent me a bill or had any kind of correspondence with me ever since I signed up with them in Oct. So I filed a complaint with the insurance commissioner of my state. I hope they will let me pay my back premiums so I can file a claim. Until then, I am fucked.

On the lighter side, I got my first job as a Junior Industrial Controls Engineer! Yay for that!

Man, I thought Iwould never get back on to RVB! I finally got internet at my house again and man what a relief!

Just an update for all my friends, I finally got my A.A.S. in Electronics and got a new job that started out at $20.44 per hour! In a couple months I should be promoted to "Automation Technician" which is a salaried position that starts out at $55k per year! WOOOHOOO! I kicked my roommate out and bought a new car. So anyhow, things are going just swimmingly at the moment.

I'm bach in school for my bachelors now and only have about a year and a half left. But I promise you all that you will be seeing alot more of me in the future!

Well, it's back to school! I had a great week doing absolutely nothing. Actually I got a head start on my Control Systems project for this quarter. I decided to build a motorized gun turret! I think that it will turn out cool later on. I built the mechanical portion over the break, but it will take me around six weeks to get the electronic portion to work. The whole thing needs to be controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller so that's the kinda new part, but nonetheless it shall be very cool. When I finish, I will try to post some pics.

This is going to be an interesting school year because it is my second two years of my bachelors degree. I suspect I will do well, but it won't be easy.

    • A whole week off from school! Yippee!

Thank the maker! Finals are almost over and I'll get a chance to do some much needed fishing. I actually got a chance to go last weekend and my buddy and I caught like 40 fish between us! We knocked 'em dead! For the first two hours, we caught a fish nearly every cast. b And since we were using double leaders, we actually caught two at a time on one cast a few times! Even if they are small fish, if you catch two at a time, it feels like you caught a lunker! Well, were going back to the same spot this weekend but a little earlier in the day. Hopefully we'll get into the school and slay them again. BTW perch are really good for deepfried fillets!

In the case of a hurricane, the Red Cross says that you are supposed to:
      1. Have an evacuation plan (because you might need to bail out and get stuck in traffic)
      2. Get enough food for a week (or at least enough to have a party with a few friends)
      3. Get batteries and candles (so you can play your GBA and burn stuff)
      4. Fill your bathtub with water (you can drink it when your utilities go out.... or just have a bath)
      5. Put gas in your car (so you can get stuck in traffic, or if the wind picks up your car and tosses it, it will make a bigger explosion)
      6. Move your patio furniture inside (so the people you invite over for your party will have someplace to sit, or maybe so it doesn't fly through your window and impale you)
      7. Listen to the radio/Watch TV (so you don't miss The Simpsons or Friends)
      8. Stock up on charcoal and lighter fluid (so you can grill for your party, or so you can dry your stuff out later)
      9. Construct storm shutters (so your guests can't escape from the party)
      10. Buy dry ice (to keep the beer cold or make cool fog effects)
      11. Trim your bushes (hey, you don't want your guests to think you are a slob)
      12. Throw a hurricane party (no shit, the Red Cross says to throw a party!)
      13. Drain your pool (there will probably be a lot of puke in it after your party so this is important)

Thanks for the hurricane tips Red Cross! I'll never need to ask again what to do during a hurricane!

My friend just offloaded around 5 gigs of mp3's on me! Now my iPod has around 11 gigs of music on it. I'll probably never listen to it all but it's cool.
