Well, I finally ordered my new computer 2 days ago. Got it yesterday afternoon.

      I like it. Picts soon.

Edit: Now I discovered that the volume slider is doing nothing (not working) I also have a blob of dead pixels...me not too happy.

Edit 2: Well, I have a service call coming to fix my screen. Hopefully tomorrow

Well, I'm home for the weekend, atleast until this evening.

I drove up yesterday and took the train into Chicago to do some research on my site. Took a bunch of photo's then headed over to the show room for the Chicago Spire. Then I took the train back out, drove the 10 mins home and waited for my family to return.

Been working today and will probably head back down tonight.

So my girlfriend has a 27 inch LCD TV. I believe its a sharp. There is now about a 7 second delay between when you press the on button and the screen comes on. Is this indicative of a bigger problem? The TV acts completely normal when it is running.

      Well,

I discovered something yesterday. My girlfriend is around number 100 in line for the throne of England. So, its not like she'll actually get it, but its a fun fact.

      Hey everyone, I'm back.

I had a good time working in NY over the summer. I'm now back in town (though I had to run down to school Sunday and today to move into my new apartment).

I learned allot working for the firm in Ny and enjoyed myself. It was a good office to work for.

When I flew back Saturday I checked-in in the apartment hoping to get a low boarding group number but I got group 6 (back of the pack). However, when I got to the airport as I hadn't printed my pass I used one of the self service kiosks to check in. It then asked me if I wanted to upgrade (for $90) to first class. Took me about 3 seconds to decide yes. Admittedly it was a bit of a splurge, but compared to the normal first class price of $1300 I think i did pretty well. I like seats that recline more than about 3 inches.

We've started the addition on the house. Foundation 1 is in and Foundation 2 is being worked on, it should be finished being poured tomorrow.

Oh, and my sister got engaged a few days ago.

I've got to start my thesis research this week, but tomorrow I'll be moving boulders. Weeee. ;)

      Cheers and ciao.

I know! I've never seen that happen in 3 years.

But they probably did it because they know no one would show up for class on a day like this anyway. I sure wasn't planning on it.

You're right, I haven't listened to tons of really loud music. I try to protect my hearing as much as I can. I can hear flourescent light bulbs and the TV when it's on mute or just a black channel (theoretically with no noise). Mute I can actually hear what they're saying in addition to the high pitched buzz of the TV, a black (or blue if you prefer) channel will just emit the buzz. It's not that the noise goes away when watching a show, but rather it gets drowned out. I get headaches sometimes working in the studio or at church up in the booth where they have all kinds of stuff making noise that no one but me can hear.

I must have truly extraordinary hearing then. I was able to hear it all the way up to not the very last level but the one right before that.

She would speak harsh and unkind words. Possibly very loudly.

There might even be ... the rolling of the eyes. And the exhasperated sigh. Or ... oh, waily! ... the disapproving frown.

      Waily, waily, waily!

No you've given me a pretty good answer. I'm really good in basically all areas except math. I mean I have algebra down pretty well theres just a lot of things that I don't catch. It just doesn't come to me as easy as the other things. Well thanks a lot. It does kinda help with the fear of going into it.

Do you feel that you got a better education? I think it will give a better education I'm just asking. Also what did you go to college for?

I'm planning a walking/backpacking/bus tour of the isles. I'll see what I can see in Ireland, try to look up some long lost family, see the English countryside (cities are overrated), swing through Wales and visit more relatives, then on to Scotland for the festivals!
