Here's another painting I did today of my home town. The painting is of one of the bridges over the river and a hotel set right next to the river. To the far right is a dam.

Well my dad's surgery is over with and he is in recovery. Seems to be doing all well. Hopefully we will know more tomorrow when they will be able to come home..

In other news I decided to do a quick painting in my free time. The clouds looked nice so I did one of them in sunset.

      Well I'm back home.

I had a good weekend in Miami with Genevieve and her father. Got out and about some and had allot of good food.

Flight back was delayed a bit because of mechanical issues but that was ok as Genevieve and I were sitting next to each other (she's at her grandparents now.)

My parents were supposed to be back this evening but my dad came down with appendicitis so he's having surgery right now or shortly. I'll keep you all posted.

Well I leave tomorrow to go spend a few days down in Florida with Genevieve and her Father. My flight leaves at 6:55. Gotta be there 1.5 hrs ahead of time, takes 45 mins to get there..so that means I have to be up at...

Gosh I miss traveling on a private jet. Sooo much more convenient. Not to mention relaxing... C'est la vive.

      Anyhoo, I hope ya'll have a good weekend. I know I will :-D

      Ciao for now mes amigo's e amiga's

    • Points..

Ok, so ya'll know that i'm a bit of an aviation buff. If it has wings (and hopefully and engine) I'll fly on it, especially if its small and very very fast (hence the image on my profile.)

So point is, can you identify, specifically what this aircraft is? I already know but I wanna see if you can identify exactly what it is. :-)

      Game on.

      imageviewzm2.jpg

Edit: Lemme give you a hint..if you search the news for the past couple of days, you should probably be able to figure it out. It is for points afterall.

Yeah, you push a button on the side and the light pops up. Plus it uses an LED so it will be a long time before I would have to change it.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately Microsofts flight sim does not model helicopter flight accurately at all. They do a terrible job. True, helicopters are unstable but normal control corrections in a real helicopter will not save you in M$ flight sim. The aerospatiale/eurocopter AS-355 TwinStar is also one of the most unstable helicopters ever. The closest thing to accurate flight modeling for a helicopter is "Janes Longbow 2" (if you can find it). It's a PITA to get it running on XP, but on full realism, it's awfully close to the way a real helicopter flys.

we used to live in fear of flu (sp?) fires. we had an old, super dry, wood shingle roof. and firewood can be expensive and a pain in the ass. my stepdad used to deliver it for a living and we'd always have to help. i can't count how many cords (sp?) i had to stack and restack!

Should have gotten yourselves a nice stove with some good slow dampers, chock that thing full of hickory or oak at night, and it'll still be nice and toasty in the morning. Course, with that kind of load, if you forget to set the dampers (as somes has happened) the whole stove will glow a nice dull red and the chiminy will also burn. Ain't that great? smiley8.gif Coal stoves work also. 18hrs on a load of the really hard stuff.

i was raised in a house with no electrical heat. so the first person up in the morning had to make a fire, we'd keep it up all day, and it would burn out during the night. i hated it.

but now it sounds really cozy.
