Well I just finished reading Vince Flynn's books "Term limits" and "Separation of Power".

About 1000 pages total or so. I miss being able to read. Exercise is good for the mind. Vince Flynn is sort of like Tom Clancy, with a bit more of a flair for the sensational. Try the books, you'll like em.

      fireworkpete

Well today was a fairly big day.

We finished the final touches for our submission to the School of Architecture's Chicago Prize. Fair amount more work than we though. Lots of little details must be correct or you risk getting DQ'd.

Our work will also be shown in a show in Chicago this summer. We are also getting published in a book this upcoming year. So, lots of big news. Cheers!

    • Sparkles...

I'm looking at things that Sparkle..

They're sort of small, and pretty hard. Some of them are pink. She likes pink. So here's the deal. I'm looking at rings. Yes, it means exactly what it sounds like. I'm not ready to pop the questions quite yet, but that time will come soon enough. Meanwhile, I'm getting a feel for what is out there as far as rings go.

I'm seriously looking at pink diamonds. I don't want something too large and flashy, but something just about right. I.E. no 10 ct stones. The issue is do I buy something pre-made or do I design something and have the jeweler make it.

As far as stones go, I've just started looking.
      Thought 1
      Thought 2
I think the second one is a bit to large dimension wise, but I'll have to see.

I do like really like this one (its a complete ring not a loose stone) at Tiffany's

So, basically I'm just getting started. Seriously thinking about getting one custom made but have to look into how long that would take. Anyhoo, I'll keep ya'll updated.

      Thermobaric Bomb (Episode: Maximum Impact)

With a name drawn from the combination of the Greek words for "heat" and "pressure," these bombs combine the power of both forces to greatly expand the potential for destroying more inaccessible targets. Although the term "thermobaric" is often used for a wide variety of enhanced explosive devices, it's most accurately used to describe bombs that mix a monopropellant fuel explosive with some type of highly combustible, energetic particle such as powdered aluminum.

The result is an intense concentrated fireball combined with devastating blast overpressure. Thermobaric bombs are ideal weapons for packing massed heat and pressure into a tight space, either to limit collateral damage or reach targets deep underground.

It is awesome! The turkeys come out very tender and juicy! Nothing else can come close.

Basically you cut a turkey in half, pack the caities with sticks of butter and season them (we usually use garlic salt, peper, and other spices). Then you wrap the turkey halves in a lot of foil. 15 sheets minimum.

We deep pit in a 10 foot steel pipe about 3 feet accross buried in the ground. But I've heard of others doing it in a big metal boxes buried in the dirt. Basically you need to get a big fire going, and let that burn down to coals. The we lower a metal circle to cover the coals. After that you lower in the turkeys, and put a lid on the pipe. The next part is important, you need to cover the lid with dirt, and wet it down. This keeps in the heat, and the turkeys will cook overnight. Then you uncover the lid and pull out the turkeys in the morning.
