I have two roommates, Morgan and Tori. Morgan and I have lived together since the beginning of the year and decided before school started to live together. She's super chill and geeky and we have a lot of things in common (ie Rooster Teeth!) and she was my photographer for yesterday's Ruby shoot.
TL;DR Morgan is the bee's knees

Tori, on the other hand, moved in just before Thanksgiving last semester. We were the third room she moved into and her move in was unexpected due to an emergency situation where shes called the cops on her neighbor for "threatening and harrassing her". I asked around that floor, to find out what happened. Her neighbor asked Tori to turn the music down, Tori said no, the neighbor said she'd complain to the RA, Tori called the cops.
      Since she moved in, she's
smiley5.gif Stolen a grand total of 80$ between me and Morgan
smiley5.gif Lied about money being stolen from her.
smiley5.gif Lied about having to clean up my best friend's puke. (He slept over cuz he was a little too drunk and did throw up in the morning, but he got it all in the toiler. The cleaning spray in the bathroom wasn't even moved an inch so there's no way Tori cleaned anything).
smiley5.gif Lied about dumbass shit. (Being COD MLG, having two cops ask for a joint when she was caught smoking in California, and many more incredibly stupid lies).
smiley5.gif Claimed that Morgan and I made her feel unsafe.
TL;DR Tori is a piece of shit and has been the bane of my existence.

Thankfully, today, Morgan and I received confirmation that we could move into an open double on the second floor smiley11.gif I just finished settling in and it's such a relief to live in a room where there's no tension and stress smiley12.gif

Additionally, gummy bears were on sale two for one smiley1.gif

"The Sims 4 is the highly anticipated life simulation game that lets you play with life like never before. Control smarter Sims with unique appearances, personalities, behaviors, and emotions. Experience new levels of creativity when you sculpt Sims with the powerful Create A Sim and design beautiful homes with tactile, room-based Build Mode. Use The Gallery to browse, share, and download new content without ever leaving your game. Control the mind, body, and heart of your Sims and explore your new gameplay possibilities in vibrant neighborhoods that bring your stories to life."

I don't know what you expect me to say. It's a Sims game and it's just as fun as it's predecessors. There's a lot more customization with the characters and you can get rewards from successful social events.
And of course, you can set your sims on fire or drown them in a pool or recreate your OTP and watch them live out their life together.

TL;DR It's The Sims of course it's good.

I'm so proud to have contributed to this film, it looks fucking AWESOME! I hope it isn't released in select theaters only, but if it is, I will absolutely drive to the closest one, even if it's hours away, so that I can be there for the first available showtime.

It's so cool to have been with this film since the beginning and I can't wait to see how this journey concludes smiley12.gifsmiley12.gifsmiley12.gif

I'll be honest, I bought this game two years ago and I'm still on the first disc. I really get into the game every now and then and play it for a week straight, but then it gets too repetitive for me. I've picked it up again now that I've finished Child of Light and (despite having to slightly relearn the controls) I've fallen right back in step with it.

I'll probably do a short review after I finish the first disc and make it a three part thing, but I have no idea when I'll finish this disc. Spring break maybe?

    • New RT Thumbnails

Some of the videos (Fails, Patch, RT Podcast) have new thumbnails and I just don't like it. They're photoshopped and have large, bold, uppercase statements with plentiful punctuation. I'm not about that life. I'm turned off from youtube videos with titles like "BENDY SLENDY: SLENDER MAN PLAYS LIMBO!!! SLENDERMAN THE ARRIVAL PT 5!!!". As cool as limbo playing slendy would be, the super hype titles and thumbnails just make me disappointed with the content that's delivered. I've always liked that RTAH has had chill thumbnails and they don't super hype the titles, but I think they're trying to merge the company with the Funhaus aesthetic (and I totally get that).

I don't want to go into every video with the preconceived notion that I should react like
cuz I very rarely will actually react that way.

"Aura Kingdom is a free-to-play Anime MMORPG featuring strong PVE elements, a uniquely detailed world, and an engaging, well-crafted story. Aura Kingdom empowers players as Envoys of Gaia, gifted individuals that take the role of one of eleven classes."

Much like my WoW days, I started off addicted to this game, but as it progressed, I've slowly lost interest. I still play it, but just a couple days a week. The character customization is awesome and the story line is decent, but having so many side quests is distracting and when I return to the main quests, I've forgotten what's going on in the actual plot.

This game drew me in with the anime-like characters and the creatively designed monsters. I had the music off for most of my play time. I find it repetitive when playing for more than an hour or so and listening to my RT inspired playlists (shameless self promotion sorry not sorry) kept me entertained.

    • Game Review: The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

"The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a first-person story-driven mystery game focused on exploration and discovery. As occult-minded private detective Paul Prospero communicate with the dead to discover the fate of a missing boy and the mystery behind a dark ancient force lurking in Red Creek Valley."

This narrative story tells you upfront: it will not hold your hand. This open-world murder mystery is strongly puzzle and story based. The atmosphere of the game is suspenseful, but not quite scary (except for the very rare jumpscare). I finished the game in just two sittings due to the enthralling story line and intriguing world it takes place in. You can wander the world as you please, even with the relatively linear story. Along the way, you find some of Ethan's stories that help to explain what you've just experienced. For each puzzle, there was consistently a part I was missing, so I had this walkthrough open on my phone so I could check and see that I have everything.

The graphics are hyper realistic and the scenery is postcard worthy. Many times, I walked around purely to enjoy the view. Music as you're wandering through the woods keeps you slightly on edge. All the leaves rustle and all the water rushes and losing yourself in this game comes naturally. Eeriness awaits you at every turn of the path (or lack there of).

    • Game Review: Child of Light

"Aurora, a young girl from 1895 Austria, awakens on the lost fairytale continent of Lemuria. To return home she must fight against the dark creatures of the Queen of the Night, who have stolen the sun, the moon and the stars. At stake is not only Lemuria, but Aurora's true destiny."

This is hands down my favourite game. I played it for the first time when it came out last April and it holds a special place in my heart as the first story based game I ever finished on xbox (keep in mind, I didn't even own an xbox until the summer prior and I mostly played minecraft with my friends). This is a puzzle/platformer/RPG/adventure game. The combat is turn based and relatively rudimentary, but it makes for a stress free battle experience. You pick up various characters along the way who join your team and you're permitted two characters per battle that you can rotate out at any time. Each charcter has an enchanting story line and it's fascinating to talk to them because the ENTIRE game is written in rhyme. Child of Light is charming in every aspect and I consider it highly replay-able, especially with UbiSoft's New Game+ (look that up if you're unfamiliar with it, it's a pretty cool feature!).

I'll be honest, I bought this game for the graphics and audio. The game looks like a moving oil painting and the sounds or light, beautiful, and set the mood very well. Aurora's hair is probably one of my favourite visuals (it floats around and is stunning, as well as incredibly unrealistic). The general music is relaxing and the battle music has an ominous tone yet doesn't stress you out as typical RPG battle music does.
