Nostalgia. I'm about to sound like an old man. That's fine. It's my right. Get off my lawn!

Man... I can't remember the last time I got on here. Scratch that, I can: I'd just graduated college. I was working a dead end job. The Lost forum was ABSOLUTELY the place to be on this site with the likes of CoraOrtiz, ChipperHalf, and Contractor.

And then, I just kind of stopped coming here. The content for the site was still great, but it just wasn't enough. Life took over.

So what's happened in my absence?

      I've got a new job I love.

I'm married to my best friend and she and I own a home with a beautiful fur-baby (beagles are the best!).

I found a new love in collecting vinyl records and going to concerts.

So life's different. Different is good.

Not sure what drew me back here.

Not sure that I'll login and post more.

Who knows. I'll be around. Or I won't.

Whatever makes me happy, because really our own happiness is all we really have.

"Do you work in this department?"

Things I want to say but cant:
"Why the Christ do you think I have a blue shirt, tan pants, a name badge, and keys to all these cases?"
"What the fuck does it LOOK like I am doing?"
"I am just filling in until the chimp finishes getting his rabies shots."
"Only until my background check for the gun clears."
      "Unless the mothership returns soon."

Yup. My hunt for a new job has officially begun.

      Whoa.
I've been on here for over 7 years.

I have a love-hate relationship with my job right now.
For example, I went through the new releases for the future, and I have copies of Community season 3, Dexter season 6, Sleeping Dogs for Xbox and PS3, and Darksiders II for both systems all within my grasp, not to mention The Hunger Games and the Blu-Ray release of Jaws.
And I can't bring any of them home with until at least next week.
It's a form of psychological torture, I swear.

Fuck the end run of Mass Effect 3 on Insanity. Too many banshees.

I'll have sold my books and turned in my only exam, which was take home.
I'll be ready to graduate on Saturday.
I'll have my tickets for the Avengers midnight showing on Thursday and the subsequent 3D viewing Friday night.
Now I just have to wait for the week to tick by as I'll have literally nothing to do except finish my Insanity run of Mass Effect 3.

I try really hard to hold on to the good ones. I try to believe there's as many good as there are bad, but I don't really think that's true. I usually tell myself the bad ones are just louder so they get more attention, but at every turn people prove me wrong by silently voting against gay marriage or just holding their prejudice in quiet. But then there are people who surprise you.

A friend of mine married a man who was a weird form of racist. He didn't hate blacks or wish ill upon them, he just sort of avoided them and had some racist views. It was a weird southern in between, I suppose, but he was definitely like I will never vote for a black man to be president. His wife supported Obama, and one day he heard her listening to a speech by him. He didn't see the screen but whatever the words were really resonated with him, and he asked who it was. He was surprised, and actually became a supporter of him in the end, even putting an Obama sign on his Kentucky lawn, which was practically declaring war on his neighbors at that point.

LOL that Ben Valentine's Day Card was AWESOME! Quite possibly more awesome than my card.

Where on earth did you find that? It's hilarious!

No. I wasn't going to sacrifice a refinery of people for Zaeed's loyalty and I didn't have enough Charm to get Miranda back on my side after her fight with Jack.

I ended up losing Legion, Mordin, Zaeed, Miranda and Grunt.

I'll probably try and start another playthrough using my ME2 warrior, or I'll wait till spring break or some other suitable period, finish the first Mass Effect and use that file in ME2...and probably fudging with the romance so I can get the achievement and still have no conflicts of interest in ME2 and 3... smiley7.gif

Nope, just her sister Biology. The whole "anatomy without the book" spiel.

single issue stories are so freaking rare. Todd MacFarlane was kinda doing that once he took over Spider-man, but we haven't seen much like that in the Marvel universe since.

You ever read any of the DC adventures? It's one or two issue stories for just the main characters, Batman, Superman, wonderwoman, etc and they're all awesome. There are so many short stories that you can do for any superhero without making some amazingly long drawn ridiculous story arc for.

Like for Gambit to kiss Rogue.. from the issue that he started to like her until he kissed her was like eight years of comics. WTF.

well even more than having Steve Rogers come back as Captain America, I'd love to see the whole Marvel universe get a total overhaul like Bruce Timm did for DC. Nothing fancy, just simplified, cleaned up and smooth
