So yea... I got kicked out of West Point. lol feel kinda pathetic now after the whole community here showed their support. I'm sorry to you all...

Im in the National Guard now, protecting the freedoms of Floridians as an Infantrymen! Hooah! And am at a regular civilian college until either A) get accepted into a better college (which if I got into West Point, that shouldn't be to hard haha) or B) get re-accepted into West Point.

Hey, I have not seen a topic for this "epidemic" known as sexting.

This article is from South Florida...
      www.cybercrimelawyerblog.com/2009/01/south_florida_cyber_crime_lawy.html

What is your opinion on sexting?
Should the under aged teens be slammed with charges such as....

possession of child pornography....possession as well as manufacturing and distributing child pornography"

I personally feel that the laws protecting the children from these dangers should protect them from being exploited; not destroying the children's futures by making them sex offenders. However, when an adult sends these types of pictures to a minor I feel the adult should be charged with some type of felony.

Everyone has an interesting story about how they got something really cool or something everyone is jealous of. May it be a game, car, scar, or mini-bar; theres an interesting story to it!
So, pick an item you love that has a nifty little story of how you got it.
Extra points if your story has drama! such as pulling it out of a fire, stealing it, getting injured etc. etc.

A cool thing I got was a free copy of Halo Wars! I went to game stop last Saturday and they were having a competition were everyone had to fight on advanced copies of Halo Wars. So I signed up, beat everyone, and won the game! Its great! lol

Another cool thing I have is this nifty scar across my nose. I got it when confronting three 5th graders when I was in 2nd grade. They were pushing and punching my two of my friends so I made faces at them so my buddies could run away! Unfortunately I hadn't thought the whole thing through and they all chased me up one of those spider play ground things, you know its kinda like a bubble with lots of holes.
Anyhow, I climbed up to the top middle where the bullies proceeded to surround me and kick me in my butt!
So, thinking quickly, I tried falling through one of the holes and escaping to safety! As I fell a foot came up right in the crack of my ass and propelled me into one of the joints holding the bubble together. I got knocked out and woke up like 3 hours later in a hospital with stitches across my nose.

      It was cool! lol

Hey guys, I received some wonderful news the other day!

I was leaving school so I called up my mom to let her know. She starts telling me a big envelop has arrived from West Point and that she was coming to my school to give it to me. Five minutes later she hands me the envelop which was HUGE!
Any-who, I opened it up to find a hard leather envelop with my certificate of acceptance to the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS)!!!

I will be going there for ten months and then will report to West Point in July of 2010. I am gonna be going to West Point!

I would like to thank all the members and staff and admins of Red vs Blue. You guys have provided me an invaluable hub of advice, companionship and entertainment . I can firmly say that had it not been for many of you, I would have had a harder time in many aspects of my life and may not have been appointed to West Point.

Hey, I am interested in pursuing a law degree at the United States Military Academy. I noticed that you have pursued a career in this field and was wondering if you had any advice. I would appreciate it very much.

My first advice is don't. :)

That's only somewhat tongue in cheek. The legal profession is overcrowded and very competitive, and a lot of lawyers hate their jobs. It's not something to do if you're just thinking about money. I love doing legal work, but a lot of people I'm in lawschool with just don't and a lot of lawyers just don't.

If you're still convinced after that, I'm not entirely sure how you'd proceed if you're going to a military academy. A law degree is a graduate degree typically completed after you get a 4 year undergrad degree. In my experience JAG works two different ways. We have several students that joined up as EM's, are getting a law degree and either will stay in the reserves and do private law practice or apply to be commissioned as a JAG. We also have JAG recruit here, and some law graduates decide to join after law school, they go to OCS and then get commissioned. One of my friends is doing this as a marine. He went to the boot camp portion of OCS between his second and third years of law school and when he graduates he's being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and will work in the JAG corps.

I'm not sure how it would work in a service academy, but there's almost definitely people you can ask. While you're in undergrad I'd just choose things that intrest you as electives. But anything that teaches you to think abstractly and gives you practice at writing will start preparing you for law school.

it's been a while since i took them, but buying a study book with practice tests in it would probably work really well. that's what i did for my GRE, which is kind of the same idea as the SAT and i did great on that. so yeah, i'd recommend a study book. take the tests, find out what you have troubles with, study those parts in the book, then take another practice test until you have a decent score
