      I went to a "Mens Over Nighter" at my church Friday and didn't get home till about 5pm Saturday. I thought to my self "I've never been awake more then 25 hours, I think I'll pull a 48 hour awake time." So I did, plus a little.

      Serving All Men

      19 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; 20 and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law,[c] that I might win those who are under the law; 21 to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God,[d] but under law toward Christ[e]), that I might win those who are without law; 22 to the weak I became as[f] weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 23 Now this I do for the gospel's sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.

      1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God![a] Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

      2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

      3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
      Sin and the Child of God

      4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

      5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

      6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

      7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

      8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

      9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
      The Imperative of Love

      10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

      11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,

      12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

      13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.

      14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother[c] abides in death.

      15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
      The Outworking of Love

      16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

      17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

      18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

      6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
      7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

      1 I waited patiently for the Lord;
      And He inclined to me,
      And heard my cry.
      4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust,
      And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
      5 Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works
      Which You have done;
      And Your thoughts toward us
      Cannot be recounted to You in order;
      If I would declare and speak of them,
      They are more than can be numbered.
      10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;
      I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation;
      I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth
      From the great assembly.

      3 There is no soundness in my flesh
      Because of Your anger,
      Nor any health in my bones
      Because of my sin.
      13 But I, like a deaf man, do not hear;
      And I am like a mute who does not open his mouth.
      14 Thus I am like a man who does not hear,
      And in whose mouth is no response.

      4 Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor
      Who seek after my life;
      Let those be turned back and brought to confusion
      Who plot my hurt.
      9 And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord;
      It shall rejoice in His salvation.
      10 All my bones shall say,
      "Lord, who is like You,
      Delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him,
      Yes, the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?'
