      Fucking Mass Effect.

I played the second one a couple weeks ago, fantastic game. It had a splendid Achievement-to-Playthrough ratio, it was fun, and I enjoyed every minute of it. That being said, I don't know if I want to buy it.
I had played it whilst watching the house and pets for a family member while they were away, the game itself belonged to my cousin. I have 6 achievements left, all of which I can get just by playing through the game again. That's the problem, how can I justify spending the $20 or so to buy it, if I'm just going to be playing it through once and moving on to ME3.
(Just a side note, I never played the first one, but I did watch a friend play through it about 5 or 6 times, and that's plenty of exposure for me.)

Now, I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of replaying games just to replay them. I used to do that all the time with the games I played as a kid, Pokemon Red must have been played through a half a million times, but lately, I find that I can't get all the way through a game twice.

I honestly can't think of the last game I played twice just for funsies. So if I already know I'm only going to play through ME2 only the once, why in the hell should I shell out twenty bucks for that?

I think I'll just go back to playing all those games I played as a youngster, because I don't want to waste my money.

Mostly because I got a $100 dollar parking ticket a week ago that I still haven't paid.

I get the splendid privilege of watching the house/pets for my Aunt and Uncle while they, along with most of my extended family, go on vacation to the British West Indies for two weeks. No big deal, I'll watch the shit out of that house. The issue lies in a combination of a "Fuck the o-zone" amount of travel and the "You don't need to feel your legs" quality of my driver's seat.

Now, I'm all for helping out the family, especially when I get a big nice house all to myself to play music and video games and stuff, but 75 miles of driving sometimes twice a day for two weeks? The Oil Barons are going to love me.

At least there will be food. And probably beer.

Time to get down to business, ladies and gents. Finally, after over a year of having an account and doing absolutely nothing with it, I'm picking up the ball I dropped and rolling with it.

A friend of mine gave me the horrible, tragic, pseudo-venereal disease that results in an addiction to achievements. I get the strange feeling that it doesn't go away. Ever. Not even after taking penicillin.

That being said, I've been enjoying it. There's that massive rush of satisfaction when you get an achievement you've been banging your head against a wall to get. On more than one occasion I've jumped up and done the Tiger Woods fist pump. And on about as many occasions I've screamed obscenities and searched for something to strangle.

      No casualties as of yet.
