No matter how hard I try, I cannot comprehend the phenomena of finding and losing different things simultaneously while I am cleaning my room.

    • My sleep schedule is off...

Due to lack of work lately and my laptop being my best friend, my sleep schedule is now 3am-8am. Why would I wake up so fraggin early is because of my dog. She starts whining at my door between 8am and 8:30am because she wants to go outside. EVERY DAY. It never fails.

Ultimately, I am very bored at home, so I try to do all I can to be as productive as possible. So far, I have been netflixing like crazy and watching every cheezy ass horror movie I can. It's so boring right now, I'm actually trying to give myself nightmares just so I have something to do while I'm sleeping.

    • I saw a stray dog today..

I was leaving Kristy's house to go back home. I usually just hop onto the 215 and head to the Green Valley area, but about three blocks from the entrance of the freeway, I saw a dog running along the sidewalk in my rearview mirror. I know that some owners actually trust their dogs enough to stay by them without a leash, but this dog (a husky mix I believe) was running alone. I could a collar around the dog's neck, so in the back of my mind I'm thinking that it at least has a home.

The dog, luckily stayed with the sidewalk and turned right, but I was on the far left lane and going straight. Within one minute, I had a crazy debate going on inside my head.

I had seen strays and runaway dogs before, but I was never in a position to help them. So here I was driving toward the freeway, thinking if I should find this dog and help him/her find the owner. Back in September, I adopted a three-legged Chihuahua from a shelter. She had been horribly abused, and she was afraid of everyone; however, she took a liking to me. Since then, I've been more sensitive to the safety of the animals of our city.

Part of me (which I am almost ashamed to admit), just wanted to drive off like everyone else. I'm sure others saw the dog, and decided not to help it. I finally snapped out of it a block later. I turned around and started driving down the street I saw the dog take off in. It had crossed the street, but a blue car stopped by and picked him/her up. The dog seemed to trust them, so I assumed the owners found their lost pet.

So I made another U-turn and headed toward the freeway. It was a strange feeling, but a liberating one. I was thankful that I was assured that the dog was now truly safe. I felt bad that I initially wanted to drive off, but proud that I made a spontaneous decision to see that the dog was safe. I know that if I kept going straight and hopped on the freeway, that gutting feeling would be eating away at me, wondering what could have happened to that poor dog. But thankfully, I'm glad I found out that result.

As CC09 was the first time I had ever attended the SD convention, I was very happy during my four day stay in Southern Cali. The weather was nice, the hotel location was convenient, and I got to attend the biggest nerd/geek fest ever.

I have to say that I was glad we came a bit late on Thursday. I didn't want to run into all the Twilight shenanigans; I don't really have an appreciation for being run over by eighth graders. The first panel we went to was the Capcom 2009 game lineup. I am very excited for RE: Darkside Chronicles, Lost Planet 2, and Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth. After that we watched some of the panel for Halo Legends. Cortana looks very odd as a drawing...

Then it was down the Capcom booth. Over the course of the three days afterward, I was able to play RE:DC, and I received a highly coveted zombie shirt, and I was lucky enough to win not one, but two of the Salamander Plushies that is a collector's item for LP2. One, I received in the LP2 panel, and the other I won by raffle ticket. I was able to meet the producers of LP2 and RE:DC and get their autographs. Kawata-san is very short!

And of course, I stopped by the RT booth, and said hello to our fav webseries cast. They all looked completely drained, poor guys and gal. However, they did all they could to ensure that the fans knew that they were appreciated so they signed DVDs and took pictures with anyone who would ask.

So with all my spiffy new posters and free crap, I have to somehow remodel my room without throwing anything away... I should get achievement points for that. All in all, it was a great experience, and I'm hoping I can go back next year.

AH HOLY HELL! I hate this week. Gotta work and study and study then work then work again. Possibly the worst week out of the 52 created because of the calender. Hopefully, I can actually pass all my classes, so I won't have to pay for them next semester. Well, off to study Japanese.

The one thing I hate about the holidays is working retail during them. Seriously, the only time in the holidays that people are actually joyful and full of love is probably on the actual day of Christmas. Any other time, they're bitchy and as all hell. I just have to come to the terms of accepting the "Yes, everything is my fault. I commanded the register to not accept your credit card just so that I could make your day miserable and in turn you can make mine miserable as well!" syndrome. I hate people sometimes...

God I am so failing Japanese right now. Freaking language is hard as all hell. I can't believe I'm taking it just so I can write SOME Japanese to my family in Japan. One more semester of this, and I'll be finally done.

Today's quiz was on colors and "when" statements.
      Red is Aka
      Yellow is ki
      Blue is Ao
      Black is Kuro
      White is Shiro

      "when" is to ki

      God I hate kanji.

FINALLY! I got all three seasons of RvB for my 21st b-day last week. Happy birthday to me yes indeed! I had a blast especially since I'm here in Vegas. Ah, good times good times. At least I remember some of it... I think. I'm gonna have to cut this entry short because the DVD player is currently vacant. Alone time with my fav team, the blues! WHOO!
