So its been about a month since I became a full fledged lawyer. I've been applying everywhere but haven't heard back yet. I have heard nothing, not even rejections. Starting to get a bit worried.

      le sigh.

      2nd time's a charm?

So I finally passed the Texas Bar exam. Took two tries and almost a year of studying, test, waiting, studying, test, waiting but I finally finished it. I am licensed and in good standing with the State bar of Texas. Now to find a job. Or should I try and go into business for myself? Lonestarlite Esq.?

So happy to be done with that beast.

Why am I a RoosterTeeth fan?

I'm a RoosterTeeth fan because of Barbara Dunkleman. I remember when I first met her at RTX 2011. Actually... I thought she was a total weirdo... So... I guess thats not why I watch RoosterTeeth. Truthfully she's cool but the obsession with dicks and puns is a little over the top.

I am a fan of RooserTeeh in all aspects. The community is amazing. The bonds they've formed over the years, the relationships they've built, I don't really participate in it, but the fact that they're doing it, I respect that. Red vs Blue is what first brought me to RoosterTeeth. I didn't even use the site, I found the episodes wherever I could torrent them online. The jokes and story were always hilarious to me. Then I discovered the RoosterTeeth website. I felt like an idiot for not finding it sooner. I became an instant fan of all the shorts and comics and podcasts. Once I started in I was hooked. I binged through everything I could find on RoosterTeeth.com. I became a sponsor soon after that as a way of contributing to the cause.

The reason I am a RoosterTeeth fan is because of the content. All of the shows and the jokes and the characters have provided me with hours upon hours of enjoyment. RoosterTeeth is my favorite entertainment portal. I've been apprehensive about each growth the company has gone through over the years. Adding many new employees and the merger with Fullscreen worried me that the content would be changed or what I liked about all the shows would be watered down in someway. However, RoosterTeeth has retained its character through each change, and now they've been producing even more content for me to enjoy.

I am a RoosterTeeth fan because of RoosterTeeth. I can't wait for Lazer Team and all of the future programing. @RTContests

      Its not just stuff...

I recently was the victim of a burglary in which my gun safe was stolen. The entire safe. They pulled it out and dragged it away. Most of the stuff is just stuff and it can all burn for all I care. But some of the guns in that safe have a sentimental value. They are place holders of memories and moments in my life. They are totems or portkeys.

There was an old .22 pump rifle that was taken. It belonged to my great grandfather and was given to me by my grandmother. It was about 70 years old from the research I did on it. It was something special to me and I remember the day it was given to me.

A revolver that was stolen was given to my dad by his neighbor years ago. She was an older woman and her husband had passed away. My dad always mowed her yard for her and trimmed her trees and helped her out around the house if she asked. When she eventually sold the house and moved she gave him this beautiful Ruger .44 magnum revolver in stainless steel. It was my dad's good samaritan. I love that story and that pistol always reminded me of it.

My Winchester hunting rifle was given to me by my grandfather and he and various members of my family used it for deer hunting. Its the only gun I have ever used for deer hunting. My grandfather was with me when I used it to take my first deer. It had all of these little quirks that you had to know about to fire it accurately. It reminded me so much of my grandfather because almost everything he owns is that way. You must "hold your mouth just right" to get it to work.

There were other guns that I have built or modified with my friend and it is sad to lose those but we have time to build new guns and memories. The memories associated with my grandparents and my father cannot be so easily replaced. This journal is a placeholder for these memories and I will do my best to keep them independently.

The burglar did not just steal things, he stole memories and stories, those things cannot be replaced.

      and here... we... go...

Test is in less than 48 hrs. I cannot wait to be done but at the same time I want more time to prepare. Retaking the Tx Bar exam is less stressful than taking it. I do not have a knot in the middle of my back nor does it appear that I've been grinding my teeth. However my previous failure makes me incredibly aware of the fact that I may not pass this thing.

Its 200 miles wide and only 2 ft deep. Its all about a huge breadth of knowledge in a very cursory manner. <Fingers crossed>

      Getting close

3 Weeks from tomorrow I'll be done with the Tx Bar exam. I cannot wait. I thought studying for it the first time was hard, but this second round is incredibly daunting. When I failed to get a passing score by such a narrow margin the first time I was really crushed, but here we are. Its time to go again. Once more into the breach... (Fingers crossed its the last)

      Study time.

Its all just so sudden. My heart breaks for Monty's close friends and family. I'm proud of the RT community for coming out in support of Monty and his family. Its a tragedy and I hope everyone gets the support they need to get through this. Its all just so surprising and sad.

      I'm Thankful

I am so Thankful for my family (blood related and friends) who love me and who support me and always have my back.

I did not pass the bar and have to take it again in February and through this failing I've come to appreciate my support system even more. My family is the best, and I'm thankful to have them in my life. My successes are their successes.

      Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
