Thanks moon-man. It didn't go to badly, I don't think. Sometimes it's just ignorance that stands in the way. The problem is when that ignorance is willful.

cool bananas. just make sure you're near a train line. We lived in the Eastern Suburbs and rarely ventured further than there or the city. Sooo many cool pubs to check-out. Just don't live too far west as the gets a little hefty.

Bundaburg ginger beer and an all blacks shirt!
Nah, we're probably going home within 3-4 months ourselves (sadly) so we'll get by. Thanks heaps for the offer tho.

Yeah, I have been notifed. Thanks, though. Not sure what happened, some odd screen popped up the other day, and I think it may be a bot. Gonna run some spyware software tonight, and see if that fixes it.

That looks like good news. They didn't mention that in Houston, so maybe it's a late addition? Either way, it could be a go!

    • Rev_Pleb

Yeah, there were two, but you just missed one!
From what they were saying at the Houston Space Centre, April is it for the shuttles.

    • Rev_Pleb

There's another shuttle going up in April apparantly - the last one ever. I would make it a priority if i was you.
And just a bit of advice - get somewhere to watch early, bring plenty of supplies, and travel by motorbike or helicopter because the traffic sucks.

Ah! I had completely forgotten you to be a world traveler as well. :)

Thanks for the tips. Look forward to seeing where you land, definitely keep me posted. There is also a chance that the trip date might change due to a few different factors.

I can't wait to see what a few months or more over there will do to the kid's accents. they have such thick Kiwi twangs at the moment and it will be really funny to see the reactions they get, and how fast that changes.

      Copied from my journal replies:

      In reply to m00nweasel, #1:

Thanks for the advice. It is the exact same part, I double checked before I bought it. I also appreciate the offer for the spare case, but if there's one thing I'm not real concerned about is paint, I've done enough of that to have a good idea on what to not do to screw it up. Even then, it's an Xbox that would have been destined for scrap anyway, so making it look perfect isn't really a priority.

      Thanks again

I'd take you up on that offer had he not already spent the money to buy it. It came with a headset which he also needed, so it wasn't a complete waste.

I went a few times a very very long time ago and loved it. But then I couldn't find an indoor gym to go to. Then when i moved to Arlington, there was one out here, but I just couldn't afford it, because of books and food and rent and other things. But when they remodeled the on campus student gym, they added a rock climbing gym that's free to all students. Was too busy before today because we made it part of a project. Woo for fun class projects!

    • EmThree

It's decent. I'm a huge fan of the previous games, so I'm sort of biased. It's nothing to write home about, but it is entertaining.

I'll say more once I've played more of it.

You lie if that was in NZ the house would be upside down in the picture, due to well known fact about structures in the southern hemisphere.

Thats the problem, I don't have a 'free weekend' I work Sat-Mon, school Tues-Thurs, and usually homework, weekend prep, next week prep on Friday. I should have posted my schedule, because your not the first to mention it.

I'd say that was a pretty good workout, but I've heard of worse (or better depending on how you look at it).
My sister broke the cap to the water bottle my bike came with years ago, so I would normally get the biggest bottle of water I could fit in the holder, and then maybe pack a Gatorade or Powerade in my backpack if I was going on a longer trip.

    • Scimitar7

Drink holders are definitely a must, I haven't ridden that far outside of a car in almost 3 years. I consumed about a bottle of water along the way, and another half of one when I got back home

It's typical American ignorance. Nothing more. People just feed off of the media and preach based on what they think other people want to hear. What really angers me is that this day in age, people should be able to make better decisions and be at least a little more educated on things.

    • Scimitar7

I would say I'm surprised I haven't seen one, but I'm really not. Thanks for taking this out of the Garage, too.
