So my dad hired the best technical agent he had contacts with and that works with him and thankfully...... the guy managed to save A LOT of my work.
Ironically a lot of this work is rp replies i just redid *rolls eyes* along with a ton of random minor jittery notes i just have as reminders but.. BUT he got some major things as well
first of all he got back my final project. Yes the thing i spent 9 hours working on and 23 pages long. That has been saved and i have that in like 4 different locations now just in case
he got back a major rp character sheet i haven't worked on or looked at in months and thus would have forgotten everything i did on this and it would have been impossible to replace this
(i can't even express in words alone how much this makes me want to cry in joy that this was saved since it was the only thing that was irreplacable)
DN War assets have been completely and utterly destroyed
when i think of it the most damage that did was to.. well.. it was A LOT of damage because i had a tremendous amount updated to the war assets since the last time they were on this computer. So thats a pretty huge thing that i lost but it was 450 KB or something so it was the biggest target on my laptop (like 10x bigger than the final business plan)
that was the only thing that was really lost and everything else (yes including the only pictures i cared about) were all saved
so i think i shall celebrate with the happy dance now, Yes you all know the words =D so come on every pony:

I should probably change this title
so my laptop just crashed worse than ever and i have been desperately working with my dad and Dell Tech support trying to recover my files on that computer
on that computer i had around a 100 pages of rp notes and whiel that would kill me loosing that, the biggest thing i can not replace is my 23 page Business Proposal i did for school that took 9 hours to do
i can not think of what i will possibly do if i cant recover these notes, i dont even want to think of what will happen if i cant recover these notes. My mind is in a peramnent limbo shocked state right now

So i wanted to post this journal as i never got a chance to before when i was still playing Assassins Creed Black Flag and i wanted to hold my judgement until i had actually beat the game.
Now that i have i feel it is time to give my thoughts on three different companies and i realize i probably have already explained a lot of this constantly but i wish to make it official with this journal
So, last year/ in 2013 i decided to give three companies a second or third or fourth chance. These companies being Guerilla Games, Ubisoft, and Infinity Ward.
All three of these companies had done numerous things to enrage their fans in the past whether it was treating their fans like idiots or creating insanely boring overly long pointless games that no one cares about with boring flat one dimensional characters or bleintly ignoring who the heroes are in their game and instead promoting the most unlikable disgusting horrendous characters ever thought of and the most natorious of all, ending games with a huge slap in the face
In short all three of these companies had done more than enough to earn a bad reputation but i believed it was about time to give these companies another chance
Well, while Infinity Ward proved to me they do not care at all about their fans and i was met with a slap in the face for giving Call of Duty Ghosts a chance, a game that was apparently so awful so bad that Activision was so ashamed of it that they removed their name from some of the credits.
Yet Ubisoft and Guerilla Games proved they have learned their lesson, that they are willing to change and improve for the better
See this is huge news for me since when i hear Bioware already planning on screwing over its fans again (they are planning on removing major races from all new Bioware games and focussing mostly only on Humanity, look it up), it's nice to see theres at least some companies left that respect their fans and listen to them.
Shadow Fall is a beautiful step realizing the Helghast are not the enemies. That they are misunderstood and so many people are uniting to them wanting to support them either helping them win or just giving them back their world. It is a beautiful outstanding game and while it's not the first Kilzone game to have a Helghast ally, it's the first one to start trying to have peace with the Helghast and show how evil the ISA is. Here's hoping Guerilla Games will continue to expand this tradition and realize where its fan basis is
while Black Flag.... is a game i can only describe as Assassins Creed fan service. I can't really describe just how perfect this game is when it Literally grabs every positive trait that ever made Assassin Creed games great. The main character is funny, smart, handsome (for the ladies), charming, and not a one dimensional board. The side characters are so wonderfully developed that if any ever die it hits u so hard that your really sad that they died because you were starting to love those characters and when they die its just such a shock and catches u off guard. It's not a carbon copy of every other assassins creed game, its it's own unique formula where the assassins are only minorly touched on throughout the series. It focusses beautifully on naval combat and masters it down perfectly. It focusses on open world expansion and helps make it an actually really fun game to put countless hours into (i played this game for a few months thanks to how much i loved the open world feel and everything u can do to expand this game). It's single player campaign is..... well about what u'd expect in any pirate setting yet having the assassins/ templar bullshit trying to shove itself down your throat. To the point where i think even the pirate characters in this game are like euggghh enough with the assassin templar crap already haha XD but no in all seriousness its really great
i think my only and biggest criticism for this game is the companion system or lack of. It copies Brotherhoods where in Brotherhood u got assassins u could send on missions to get u money, upgrade them, and then call them in to see how badass they are. See that was amazing and i really wanted to do that in Black Flag. Unfortunately your ships in Black Flag have no point other than acting as trading ships so i soon found myself no longer using them and seeing that as boring. By the end of the game i really wanted to bring in my giant pirate fleet i had spent a shit ton of time building. As like a final F U to be like Hah come at me now bro! With my giant freaking Man of Wars in the back, row of frigates in the middle, and destroyers leading the charge with me (and i also wanted to actually upgrade my allied ships)... Buuut unfortanetly i was not given that option and instead nope they can only be messengers. This to me seemed like a huge waste of potential
but other than that one critique i really loved the game and Hey! It actually had a really really beautiful touching sweet ending. I know as rare as that sounds. Honestly besides from Shadow Fall i haven't seen a beautiful video game ending since Portal 2. Again besides from Shadow Fall. So i was really caught off guard. Like.. an Assassins Creed game with a real ending is... not physically possible 0_o i've played these games since the first one and never have we had a good ending ever to one of these games so its really amazing and a HUGE sign of maturity that Ubisoft has learned what the phrase means with: "You attract more friends with honey than vinegar"
Black Flag for me is an 8.5 out of 10 (would have made it a 9 or 9.5 if your ship allies weren't so useless) but its still an amazing game
Ubisoft and Guerilla games have fully matured and more than earned my endless respect. While i can't say anything nice to Bioware at the moment or Blizzard, i am glad at least these two video game companies have grown and showed that they actually do care about their fans

From the creators that brought you the amazing fantastic show Clone Wars, comes our newest show called Rebels and while 2015 will be the Star Wars year, this show comes out this year. However my guess is it will be very late 2014 like right before the year ends
As you'll see from the article, the show is going to focus on a small squad of smuggler rebel people banded together during the Galactic Empire era.
I am not really fond of this idea since i REALLY really am begging hoping praying for them to retcon the Force Unleashed and explain more about the Empire because the amount of information on the Empire (not just expanded universe, a lot more including very old video games and books such as with Thrawn and a lot more) and i'd really love to see the show flesh out the empire more instead of them only being very minimally discussed in the movies.
I am really hoping we will eventually get into that including seeing old characters again and how their lives have changed
Of course i realize all of this may take some time. Hopefully like how Clone Wars started off only focussing on Ahsoka and Anakin, Hopefully, this show will gradually expand to look at the universe from all angles like Clone Wars did
I did shed tears of absolute joy when i saw that this is the first time were getting a true Mandalorian protagonist not just some minor side character. It may not redeem Abrams screwing over Bobba Fett but its at least a start
and yes true men can cry pride of joy seeing the amazing Mandalorian race further honored
That alone has gotten me very excited for the show
(also theres a main female Twi'lek lead whos also not played by Hale so thats a nice change. No i am not saying Hale's bad. Its just nice to see a different lead actress other than Hale for once)
I am willing to ignore how close her name is to she who must not be named Satine since this character is really epic and has me hyped up for the show:

It goes without saying but this journal is not a rant journal, merely my honest opinions and look at the movie with my honest feedback of what i liked and thought was bad
So the movie is about Free Bird's character Reggie, played by Owen Wilson, realizing how much he hates his own kind for how stupid they have become and how they always ignore him and treat him like dirt. Eventually throwing him into the dirt literally. While Woody Harrelsons character is Jake, a giant macho turkey who somehow escaped from Friendship is Magic as hes always talking to the audience/ breaking the 4th wall. He is on a mission to get turkeys off Thanksgiving by going back in time to rewrite history and so on and so forth (ill spare the obvious glaring details of Time Travel law and how u can't ever change the timeline or..well shit goes downhill as every time travel example has proceeded to show us again and again)
Owen Wilsons role feels very stale to me and maybe some enjoyed his role but i just was not as interested. He plays that role that we have seen in nearly every bad cartoon Disney sequel, the booty call character who's only real point in the movie is to get the girl in the end. He is thin and wimpy not some super macho guy or even really smooth talking, just some random guy who becomes a hero cause pfft why not and gets the girl rinse and repeat (Ants) rinse and repeat (Ice Age 2) rinse and repeat (Brother Bear 2) rinse and repeat (Mulan 2) rinse and repeat (Cinderalla 2) rinse and repeat (Lion King 2) Ok ill stop beating a dead horse there
He WAS interesting for a while when we got the near Bill Clinton like plotline (the US president in the movie sounds a lot like Bill Clinton or at least pretending to be like Bill Clinton, probably not intended but its obvious he sometimes sounds like hes doing a Bill Clinton voice) where the president decides to have one turkey spared for Thanksgiving and they end up adopting Reggie after Agnus (from Despicable Me)'s twin (she looks just like Agnus, she sounds like Agnus, she acts like Agnus with the random cuteness just instead of character development its replaced with her randomly falling asleep) picking Reggie. reggie quickly adapts to Human society and loves it (i know many have also done this like the Outdoors film. I forgot what it was called but it had Martain Lawrence in it as the big bear) while also learning to become independent on his own and be happy with himself, ironically from watching Spanish soap operas... not going to again say the glaringly obvious oxymoron with that sentence but whatever, it works with this movie. However they scrap this plot away the second Jake comes in and takes Reggie away on his mission
Throughout the movie we are introduced to the presidents hazmat suit henchmen (which sadly appear for only a few minutes and may be the best part of this movie) who act as parody sterotypes of every villain henchmen ever seen except in a way thats funny and not just insulting your intelligence (not like slapstick comedy).
Keith David plays a role in the film which is surpisingly stronger than his role in Marvel Heroes but still no where near as great as well... any other role hes ever done. Soo uhh.. thats umm.. good i think >< i say this because were not really given much development or thought into his character other than: Uhh.. yeah! Hes Keith David and....uhh.. yeah! Hes Keith David! (for specific details: he's the sterotypical clan leader of the turkeys and thats about it) while most other roles he has actually had developed. For those who don't know some of the roles Keith has done that have been fully developed, ill give u a brief list (Spawn, the Arbiter in Halo, David Anderson in Mass Effect, himself in Saints Row, the Princess and the Frog, first two Riddick movies, Adventure Time as the flame king, Death at a Funeral, and the legendary film Platoon)
There are some glaringly obvious comparisons to Avatar which i don't want to get into here and spoil too much but... its really hard to not look at some of these scenes in this movie and realize how its just a copy off of exact scenes from Avatar.
The strengths of his movie are George Takei being in this movie and practically just being himself and then surprisingly this is one of Woody Harelsons best roles next to Zombieland. He puts so much energy into this role and goes full on out with it that he's one of the funniest characters in this film. Like just his reaction alone to what a 'Turkduckin' is had me laughing a lot. Also his role with Tstu'tey..... Oh wait i am sorry, i mean Broadbeak (kinda forgot as its the same exact character down to ever last detail and both even being blue), has a really funny relationship with him about how over the top they take the rivalry which is such a great parody of Jake and Tstu'tey that i almost wish we saw Jake and Tstu'tey doing this in some kind of a parody fan made video. I am not sure i'd say Woody's character is the funniest animated character i've seen this year as i would easily choose Olaf in a heartbeat over him but he still made the movie more enjoyable and worth watching.
In conclusion i believe the movie is mostly worth watching for the presidents henchmen and Woody Harrelson. I am sure most of us have seen the booty call theme and character with all of Disney's bad forced sequel animated movies and a lot of the plot is bleintly obvious taken from Avatar (and i guess every other pro nature film out there as i imagine someones going to call out on that too) and some of it just didn't make any sense other than being added to wrap the movie up because they ran out of a budget and just wanted to get the film over with.
Personally around Thanksgiving time i will be sticking with Regular Show explaining the meaning of Thanksgiving and South Parks History Channel Thanksgiving. However if you are interested in seeing one of Woody Harelson's better roles, how over the top he takes it, and what Jake and Tstu'tey's relation

First i'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! and second i wanted to take this time to look back at 2013 and the year we had.
Some have said how terrible of a year it was and i disagree with that. I will avoid speaking from my own personal preferences of why this year was fantastic for me such as me first getting into Warhammer and getting a far greater job, instead let us look at the universal facts for everyone
So i wanted to look at music, movies, video games, and TV shows to see how this year went
This year marked possibly the strangest year for video games as we had some of the worst and most glitchy games of all time mixed with numerous rare gems that were so good that they made it to my favorite games ever. We got Heart of the Swarm and Killzone Shadow Fall, easily two of the best games i have ever played (and i think Black Flag will end up joining the list also) and two of my favorites and i collect A LOT of games. Like including those two i have nine favorite games out of around 60. So i can't say it was a bad year for games when you got three treasures like those but i think it is clear many game companies hugely slacked off this year. However, it was a fantastic year for Nintendo. I am not a big Nintendo fan anymore but its obvious it was a huge year for them
Holy god did this year have a treasure trove of amazing fantastic movies. I thought 2012's best movies blew away anything else but they were far more rare while 2013 had an endless line of amazing movies. Now granted we had some of the worst movies ever made like Now You See Me, but it was mixed with some of the best movies ever made including this all star line up of:
The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug, The Hunger Games Catching Fire, G.I Joe Retaliation, Frozen, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, (i am excited for 47 Ronin but haven't seen it yet), Star Trek: Into Darkness, Thor: The Dark World, Man of Steel, Despicable Me 2, Riddick, Kick Ass 2, Iron Man 3, The Lone Ranger, (Walking with Dinosaurs - which seems to be great for kids, only reason i mention it), Fast and Furious 6 (still need to see it but heard all great reviews with it and i enjoyed the others), The Wolverine, and The Worlds End
Granted the worst movies of this year, no matter how popular they are, were ungodly bad BUT the all star line up we got of amazing movies was mind blowing. I mean my god this was an amazing year for movies
This one will be quick. This was a equally a strange year for TV shows. We got Sleepy Hallow which is one of the best shows ive ever seen other than them shoving the guys dead wife always down our throats trying to make us care about her, it got Agents of Shield which is a decent show with more than its ups and downs, and it royally fucked over Walking Dead as they showed us how AMC doesn't give a shit about its fans and will recycle age old sterotypes treating its fans like mindless idiots. So it was a strange year for TV shows but not entirely bad. Also had Almost Human which is pretty big for most people and for good reason. Although truth be told there was A looooooooooot of bad TV shows released this year that now are obnoxiously spammed in your face every time you try to watch TV
I will admit it was a pretty bad year for music. I man the best we got was Can't Hold Us, Demons, Applause, Home, and Just Give me a Reason. Movies, TV shows, and comercials will always use music with their products and sometimes game companies as arrogant as Sony and Microsoft, will use songs to express how awesome they are. When all of these are using music from 2012 more than the actual year, it should be pretty clear it wasn't a good year for music. Also it had some music so bad like Lady Gaga's Do What you Want and as some may know while i think Lady Gaga is insane, i think shes got a beautiful voice and is an amazing singer..and then of course she has a song that bad filling every sterotype against her.
So overall a pretty great year, just hopefully the music industry and video game industry will try to improve and follow the examples of for instance Guerilla Games (surprisingly) and Blizzard

Before I begin i'd like to give some back story on Kilzone to all my friends who either aren't fans of the game or never played before. In short it follows Halo's storyline but instead of throwing in aliens and ditching the storyline away, it keeps the storyline and doesn't bring in aliens
Like in Halo and Firefly, Humanity is governed by a galactic empire (if your surprised by that in Halo read the books again to see ONI had a galactic empire totalitarian state over the universe until the Covenant came in) except one colony world does not wish to be a part of the empire. This world was Vekta. The people of Vekta wanted to be free and live on their own but when they asked their government for freedom, they were denied. The Vektans grew enraged, arming themselves with weapons now demanding for their government to release them and stop treating them like slaves. As a result the government responded by sending its attack dog the ISA to deal with them. Vekta's cities were poison gas bombed, killing thousands while the surviving civilians fled to the mining world of Helghan which was basically like a moon to Vekta. Those that survived were badly infected, forced to wear breathing masks to survive and hence renamed Helghast. One man stepped forward, Scolar Visari, who united his people into the Helghast empire. Needless to say he was a bit pissed that his home world just got robbed from him with his people becoming infected. So he started to fully amass all his forces into giant armies and fleets before declaring war on the ISA and trying to retake Vekta. Unfortanetly his plans did not go as he had thought they would and eventually the ISA had pushed them all the way back to their world before marching on their doorsteps. The ISA cornered Scolar Visari after pushing through all his forces and despite him surrendering and being unarmed, they slaughtered him in cold merciless blood.
In the resulting after math chaos ensued. The Helghast would not surrender or give up Helghan and thus the war raged on and on. While Scolar was very vengeful, he had given the Helghast hope. He was like a prophet to them, someone that united them and saved them from being wiped out by the ISA so when their most influential person that gave them hope was killed, they were rather ticked off. However eventually a Helghast council was formed with the commander in Chief Orlock leading it as the rival Stahl represented the military might. Stahl (hes the equivalent of the Helghast Joker) only cared about his own blood vendetta, setting out to kill everyone in his way and publicly executing prisoners while the rest of the Helghast council prepared to form a peace treaty with the ISA (as the ISA could not beat the Helghast and they just wanted to be left alone). During this time Stahl began expriementing with Petrusite (very powerful acid). The ISA found out about this and intervenned. They steal the bio weapon, tortuing a child and implanting the bomb inside child to later be unleashed on the Helghast as the Helghast recruit a mercenary to stop this since this is understandably beyond fucked up. Also you find out that many Helghast civilians were growing tired of being plagued by the poison infecting them and forcing them to wear breathing masks. Many had volunteered themselves to Helghats doctors and scientists, desperate to find a cure (like the Krogan with the Genophage). When the ISA found these scientists, they rounded them up. Some they tortured before executing however others were locked into test chambers and then poison gassed to death.
Eventually the ISA and the Helghast negotiated for peace. However Stahl would not have any of that. He loaded his ship with petrusite to use it as a bomb against the ISA and uniting a fleet behind him. He set out to wipe out the ISA regardless. Orlock and his followers intervenned to try and talk Stahl down as the ISA sent its brainless savages to handle the situation (because when your in a severely drastic diplomatic issue, the person you want to send is the guy who answers his problems by smashing a club at things not an actual thinking person or diplomat.. cause that makes so much sense).... Stahl and his men kill Orlock before continuing on their course however the ISA savages detonate the ship, causing it to explode over Helghan with the Petrusite wiping out the world and killing the billions of civilians on it. The Helghast were left with nothing but to yet again flee their world.
Arrogantly and smugly, seeing the tide had turned the ISA offered the Helghast a chance to live on their home world yet again but only as borderline slaves. Giving half the city to them but starving them, giving them little to no resources or food and cutting them off so they have to desperately try to fend for themselves and still try to survive somehow
and thus Kilzone Shadow Fall begins
I am not sure if anyone reads my journals but this journal is devoted to my thoughts on Shadow Fall and a message to 343 and Geurilla Games but mostly Guerilla Games
Many of the gun crazed trigger happy morons out there have criticized this game and if theres even a chance that Geurilla will listen to this, i wanted to speak up so they know not all of their fans are mindless idiots.
I will try to keep out spoilers but may say down in below when i have to use some spoilers
While Shadow Fall does cause a few slip ups that kinds urked me with its gameplay, its storyline and plot are solid and have showed me that they have matured and grown up. They are no longer acting like spoiled children taking away what their fans want, instead acknowledging what the fans want rewarding them for putting up with all their past shit and going against the characters and factions people hate, letting people go against characters and factions they hate.
although were not fully there YET but i am hoping judging by Mercenary and Shadow Fall, were slowly moving towards that.
