An air of concern and malevolence lingers over the land of Sunhallow. The Emperor is dead at a mysteriously young age, leaving his untrustworthy, snivelling Consort, Duke Hellius, to rule over the land. His reign has brought with it a fascist overturn of the kingdom's military forces, posting all it's forces across the land, locking down towns and villages and enforcing a corrupt approach to keeping citizens in line. With it, a group of anti-Kingdom forces known as the Halberd Crows seek to bring down Hellius and his military forces in secret. In a world of civil anarchy, otherwordly creatures tormenting the Kingdom, a ban on magic practice and an 'every man for himself' attitude sweeping the lands, it's hard for an adventurer to find his stride. Even a deliveryman can have his troubles. This is where your story unfolds...
You and your party are new employees of the Elvesfoot Drymort Delivery Service and have been given a very special package to deliver to the Holy Captain Ardull in Teldonor. How special? Well, you've been told to deliver it within 10 days, to ABSOLUTELY NOT peek inside, and above all else, keep it out of the hands of the piratical outlaw band known as the Clad Razors, even if that means destroying it. Maybe it was the determined attitude or the heroic demeanor, maybe it was the blade sticking out of your sheath, but the Delivery director liked the cut of your jib, enough to send you and your fellow newcomers on this important and frankly, quite perilous task for your first job. You start your 10-day journey to Teldonor from the entrance moat of Drymort.
It's up to you from here, you can make friends or enemies with whoever you like, or create your own creatures or allies to run into. Of course, any talk of Jesus Machines, God-spells or atomic bombs dropping down and destroying the players' party will be dismissed (and frowned upon!) so please keep the RP challenging and enjoyable with consideration for the people playing it.
Because there's a magical ban on the land, doesn't mean you can't still be an adept user. You can come up with your own spells, if you choose to, but again, PLEASE NO GOD-LIKE SPELLS THAT RUIN THE GAME.
It's a pretty straightforward RP with regular rules. It's not a World of Warcraft or Skyrim RP, so feel free to be inventive with some turn of events, but don't be cheap and plunge players into situations they obviously won't want to play or be a part of. Have consideration for other player's characters and their particular abilities, so everyone can join in. And like I said before, feel completely free to be inventive with any creatures, enemies, items or names you run into, but keep within the boundaries of the themes i.e. a Plasma Demon Terminator is hardly likely to be running around (as cool as that sounds...)
