      Well, it's been a while...

So it's been quite a while since I posted a journal. The last one was very depressing. The one before, very exciting. This one is in-between. So what has transpired since the last journal, you ask?

Well, in the last 8 months, I've had 7 dates with 4 women. Only one had multiple dates, and she was hella boring. Seriously, her whole life was taking one college course, and watching her nephew. There was absolutely nothing to talk about after all the other stuff was exhausted.

During Thanksgiving, I went out to Manhattan, KS to spend it with my sister and the rest of my family. Since Shane lives there, I invited him and his wife over, as well as Caleb. We went shooting, I brought my Kimber, and Caleb brought his M1A, Remington 870, and "new" RPK. I love that M1A. I had a great time with close friends, something I greatly needed.

Anyway, since dropping out of classes at UCM in April, I signed up for the Police Academy in August. I graduated yesterday at the top of my class, with the highest POST score (Peace Officer Standards and Training) in my class with a 93%. I would have to say that was one of the proudest days of my life. Something that I had truly earned. The Chief of Training just a few days prior had told us a story. In addition to being a Navy Seal during Vietnam, he was an FBI agent for 29 years, and a Black Belt in Judo. During his Black Belt award ceremony, his Sensei held it in his hands and said to him "You are now my son. Your students are my grandchildren. Their students my great-grandchildren. And so on." Later that day when I was in the Chief's office just visiting, he sat me down and said to me "You are now my black-belt son" and shook my hand. I'm a hard-shelled sonnuva bitch, but even that hit a soft spot and my eyes watered. To have someone that I looked up to that much and that I idolized as a true hero say that to me, words cannot describe.

During the academy I felt a state of belonging that I had never felt before. A feeling that this is exactly where I belong, that I had found my purpose in life. And another thing that Chief had said is that "You don't pick the job, the job picks you." And that rings true for me.

So now it's just a matter of cranking out applications like a furious fax machine that threatens to spontaneously combust at any second. After that, continue the search for a woman.

It's been that long? Oh the irony.

So yeah, apparently it has been about a year since my last journal. Ironically in that last journal was when I announced that I was engaged. Well, she broke up with me two days ago. Fortunately I started anti-depressants two weeks ago, otherwise I would be fucking crippled by depression right now. I also dropped out of school two weeks ago too, because I was just so overwhelmed by everything. Working overnights full time at Walmart, school full time, a fiancee, and I finally got out of a school organization that was demanding so much of my time. Now I have lost all of that. All I have left is a few friends, a job, and an obliterated heart. It doesn't help that I only talk to about 4 of my xbox live friends, and one doesn't have internet right now, and the other three are hardly online anymore. I am so goddamn miserable.

      Why, yes, I AM alive.

Sorry it's been a million years since my last journal. Not a whole lot going on recently. School still sucks. Work still blows.

Anyway, back in October two of my close friends (Caleb and Shane) came over to my place to spend Halloween weekend with me. Literally an hour before they got to my apartment I bought a Kimber Custom II 1911 (.45 ACP)

      Kimber_CustomII.jpg

That's exactly what mine looks like. Anyway, these guys also brought with them the KWA airsoft M9 that I ordered a while back. Back to the Kimber. Brand spankin' new and the spring was extremely stiff. Before shooting it, we cleaned it, and the tolerances in it are EXTREMELY tight. It was a super bitch to put back together, but that is the drawback of 1911's. Anyway, we took that gun to an indoor range along with my Beretta PX4 Storm (9mm) and shot about 50 rounds through the Beretta and about 80 rounds through the Kimber. This really loosened up the spring in the Kimber. We cleaned it again and didn't have as much difficulty putting it back together. There was a lot of swearing involved both times though. I'm pretty sure it would have made a marine/sailor blush.

After that we all went to the movie theater dressed up in our tactical gear and saw the movie Red. I saw it before, but the rest of them hadn't seen it at all. It's a fantastic movie, and it's hilarious.

Anyway, in November, I proposed to my girlfriend and now we're engaged. I let her pick out the engagement ring afterwards, and she chooses a $1500 ring (solitare and jacket). Yay. tongue.png

That's pretty much it so far. I'm going on a police ride-along this Saturday. That's pretty much the extent of my excitement so far.

So yeah, tonight I got pulled over for speeding. Going 55 in a 45. Not more than 200 feet from the "End of Work Zone" sign. At 11pm at night. Seriously bullshit. Mostly because the guy right in front of me was doing at least 65 (which is the normal speed limit). But what do you expect, it was the Lone Jack Police Department. They only have like 6 officers, and there was no way in hell I was avoiding a ticket if I get pulled over by them. I've known them to pull people over for doing less than 5 miles an hour over. This is exactly why I don't want to go into a PD or a Sheriff's department for a small county. They pull small shit like that. First ticket. Yay. Now there's no way in hell to get off with a warning in the future.

      Update

So yeah, just had my 21st birthday yesterday. It was pretty good. I'm not a drinking animal, so I didn't drink very much. It felt weird buying alcohol. I bought a six pack of Smirnoff Lemonade and a bottle of Bacardi original. I mixed the Bacardi with gatorade and it was fucking amazing. Hydrating while drinking alcohol. Brilliant! I also went and looked at guns just for giggles and found that the R700 SPS is just a bit under $600, so I'm happy for that too. But first I need to save up for that.

And before that, I moved my girlfriend down from Minnesota to here, so I've been spending a lot of time hanging out with her. It's nice to finally have some constant company around here.

It's also finally Spring! I can't wait to go airsofting again, and to have money to buy more airsoft stuff.

      Well, this sucks....

So yeah, I had the day from hell at work yesterday. Everything that could go wrong in the photo lab at the Walgreens I work at went horribly wrong. Then on the drive home from work, I ran over a cat. That image is burned into my mind, and I feel so bad about it. Rest in Peace, kitty.

Then today, my pet chameleon died. My sister unceremoniously texted me with "BTW, your lizard died." She has no tact when it comes to anything. It's always a shitty text. She never calls. Ever. It pisses me off to no end. Especially when I send a lengthy text, and the reply I get is "k".

Boba Fett, also known to many as Mr. Googles II, or simply just Mr. Googles. He was about 5 years old, which that's well within the average lifespan. Provided is a picture I took of him during the first year I had him.

      Rest in Peace, little guy.

      This week fucking sucks.

      Epic Dream of Awesomeness

I don't really have anything to say usually in regards to a journal, so I usually wait to accumulate stuff to say.

Well, first off, I'm doing alright. Last semester went well and for Christmas I got a new 19" LCD TV.

Anyway, I had a dream this morning that was fucking awesome. It was literally something that could be James Bond thing. Seriously, read it, it's epic.

Anyway it starts out as this presentation showing the different affects of different sized nuclear blasts (none of the following numbers are true, this is just what it was in my dream). Showing that 50kg of material is required for absolute decimation of an area. Then it went on to say that 500 kg would be enough to start a chain reaction that would destroy the planet because it would essentially set the atmosphere on fire. And they also mentioned that there was this special sort of Uranium that was super dense (so dense that the 500 kg of material would only take up the same space as a basketball), and it could be found in Topaz deposits by using a ultraviolet light that makes it glow pink.

Then we went around with black lights and there were pink flecks all over the ground of this base that was surrounded by barbed wire fence in the desert at night. So then me and my friend Holly went in through the checkpoint dressed as civilians in a jeep (she was driving and it's day now). Then my dream transfers over to watching this official go on this video communicator with me in the base and tells me that this group is mining this Uranium ore then as he signs off, a bunch of security guys rush in bash him in the face once with a shotgun then start to drag him away. They drag him into another room with cameras and televise him being shot in the chest while on his knees with a shotgun from about 3 feet away. Then they turn off the camera.

So we're inside one of the buildings in the lobby and a guard spots us and starts shooting at us. At this point Holly and I both have shotguns (SPAZ-12's with folding stocks). And we're hiding behind a wall that is half bullet proof glass on the top and solid on the bottom. She's on one side of the door, and I'm on the other. She's standing and I'm crouching, but on her side of the door there is just solid concrete wall, which is why I'm crouching because I don't have that on my side (element of surprise). There was an entrance on the opposite side of the lobby with a security desk in the middle and the guards were coming in through that other entry. But right now there was only one, which he thought I was the only one over there and so he rushed me with his shotgun and right when he got to the doorway, Holly shot him right in the face from 2 feet away and he dropped to the ground right next to me. So about 5 more guards start running across the lobby and when they got within 20 feet, I popped around the corner (still crouching) and so did Holly and we lit then up with the shotguns. We both had ours on pump mode so it was going slow, and I thought to myself that it was going really slow while I was stealing shells from a dead guy and reloading, so I switched to semi-auto mode as 8 more guards came running into the lobby. At that point I stood up with my back against the wall and pivoted around the corner and just unloaded my shotgun killing all of the guards, which those were the last of them.

Then we both went outside and stole a Humvee that had a missile turret on the top of it. She drove it while I used the remote to aim the turret. That's when an attack helicopter (first one was an MH-6 helicopter) and I locked onto that and shot it down. Then the next attack helicopter appeared at the same time as a Predator drone. I locked onto and shot down the Apache, then I shot down the Predator drone as it was making a pass. At this point we're on a giant runway/highway on the base and there are a few trucks that have tried to come and ram us from the front and sides. We dodge all these, and one truck pulls along side us and it was like one of those multiple car carrying trucks, but it only had one level. So Holly jumps out onto that truck, and I climb over the Humvee and jump onto that truck as well. Then the Humvee crashed into a truck head on. She's hanging onto the truck right behind the cab on the driver side, and I'm doing the same on the other side. He's swerving all over the place trying to get us off the truck and he ends up crashing into a humvee near a hangar in an industrial looking part of the base. I should have gone flying but instead I just bent the 1x1 inch steel bar I was holding onto, and Holly did the same. We both made a dash for the hangar which had an underground tunnel that lead to part of the secret area of the base underground. We made our way through one of the labs then found a steel cage elevator. We took that going done which seemed like forever.

Then the walls open up to reveal a MASSIVE cavern, and a small city, which even had fake trees and grass to make it look like a park at night. They even had fake star lamps on the ceiling which looked like it was about 1000 feet high. Anyway, we made our way through one of the parks then we stopped as we saw a group of about a dozen guards under one of the street lights about 40 yards away. I was basically out of ammo for my shotgun and so was she, so I told her to go hide and tossed away my shotgun. That's when I pulled out a 7 inch combat knife and a silenced M9. The guards saw Holly running away so they started quickly walking over to where I was hiding. I was crouching behind a concrete divider that was about 3 feet tall and waited for them to start walking by. After the last guy passed I did a leaping stab into the last guy's neck at a downward angle from the side, retracted it, shot one guy in the back of the head, and ran forward a little. Then I did a bit of a spinning slash to a guy's throat as he turned around, and at this point I was in the middle of the group of guards, so as I was turning from finishing the slash I shot two of the guys in the chest. Continued in comments…

      Modern Warfare 2 faggots

Seriously, there are basically no legitimate players in MW2 anymore. Everyone either uses Akimbo model 1887's, akimbo ANYTHING, or they camp with a shotgun around a corner, or they camp in a dark corner with Cold-Blooded, Ninja, and a silencer. Or if you just have a running/knifing class. If you do any of these things, you are among the biggest pussies on the planet, and get some fucking skill you pieces of shit. Seriously, stay off of XBL or play in private matches because you don't have the necessary amount of skill to play legitimately.

      Thanksgiving

Hopefully everyone had a happy turkey day. Mine was okay at best. Mostly just "Meh." And I get to spend 8 hours in the car with my older sister tomorrow. Why is this, you ask? Because she left her resumes in her apartment (which is a 4 hour drive away). She brought her laptop with her, but she didn't save the resumes on her laptop, even though she made them ON HER LAPTOP! -facepalms- Yay. tongue.png Tomorrow is going to suck.

It is a McMillan but the main thing about it is the Troy Industries Battlerail which mounts to the rear sight and scope mount on the side of the receiver. The issue with the Socom 16 as you may have noticed is the shitty blocky sights. I'd replace the factory sights with the rail and a set of Troy HK style slip ups. Then mount a low-medium power scope and have a tack driver glass bedded cqb battle rifle that barks very loudly.

I like the EBR but ehh. Its very heavy and very standard.

Is that a McMillan stock? I dunno, I think I like that one better for precision shooting, but the EBR would be a better battle rifle. That's how I'd go about those stocks.

Holy monkey balls I think I need one of these for my shotgun! Bayonets are so under-utilized in modern military small arms. Sure muzzle stamping works but that's just gonna bruise them or maybe break a bone and its just straight out hard on your gun and you risk knocking out your head spacing.

This is what I wanna do to my 870. I want the Magpul SGA stock and MOE foregrip in flat dark earth with the sling mounts and then a Remington 20 inch barrel + tactical (modified) choke. It allows you the ability to change choke tubes in the field which most 16-20 inch barrels are fixed cylinder bore. I also want to get a GG&G stainless magazine follower. The factory plastic magazine follower is the one weak point in the whole gun. Its easy for it to jam against the side walls of the mag tube. Then add the WC aluminum 6 round saddle, maybe some ghost rings, and a mag tube extender for shiggles :) Should be a pretty epic combat shotgun. I'd like for it to be shorter... but I'll have to survive with this. Maybe if I ever get class III permits, I'll go for an 870 MCS! I also don't want any sort of optics on a combat shotgun. Its a horrible idea due to the recoil and its unnecessary. Ghost rings would be ok but they're even unnecessary.

I plan on putting probably a Streamlight on the MOE handguard. It will accept and standard "rifle" MOE attachments so putting a small rail on it won't be any issue at all. I like having a light attached to tactical type weapons. There's a lotta times even airsofting, specifically in CQB, that lights are a necessity. That's why for the time being, I want to retire the 870 from defense duty and bring the Sig Sauer into that role until I can get the 870 built. Plus I'm probably gonna be giving my uncle my 18 inch barrel to use on his 870 since the only handguns he really has are revolvers and they're retard weapons for defensive/combat use. So I'm gonna help him make his 870 more defense friendly as well.

Also, just pulled the slide back on the sig with a mag of JHPs and all 8 rounds chambered flawlessly even holding it at goofy angles. And so far the worst mag I've had with chambering empty brass has been 1 stove pipe in 8 rounds!

Exactly, it's just silly to put optics on a shotgun. Though I do like the tactical sights, just because that's what I'm used to. Also, that looks pretty sweet. Personally I would get a fore-stock that has an integrated flashlight. Also, it was kinda funny yesterday when the chief of training got the extractor and ejector terms mixed up. Well, to me, because only me and a few other instructors seemed to notice.
