    • Thank you, I'll be here all week.

I don't think I'll be using this site like I used to. I seem to have forgotten all about it and don't think i can get back into the habit of showing up and posting as much as I used to. I haven't even finished any of the Reconstruction chapters. I'm just gonna buy the DVDs when they go on sale.

That being said, I bid a final farewell to you all as I will be deleting this account in exactly one week. (Maybe later if my power gets knocked out by that damn hurricane)

Everyone I've met on RvB have been great. In general this is just a great site to be a part of.

So this is my "one weeks notice." I hope everyone here has a great time staying here as I did when I first started posting.

I really don't who I'm kidding, Justin will probably be the only one to see this if anyone at all. So see ya later i guess.

    • Dilemma!!!

      pollo_loco

Its not really a dilemma, I just want some support.

Slipknot, one of the, my favorite band of the 00's, is going to be performing with Disturbed, Underoath, and Dragonforce in Houston, Texas. I can get tickets for 80 bucks (general admission) but I'd be forking over my birthday present for my 17th B-Day.........but 17? Who gives a fuck, right?

I mean 17 is like the bastard son of the teenage life (except for us gamers right.......... M FOR MATURE MOTHER F***ERS)

So thats the deal. At this point I'm going to probably go for it cause Slipknot is one of the greatest crowd pleasers ever. Their concerts are just off the chain.

    • Hey guys! Guess who's back. Maybe.

      pollo_loco

Thats right, the most likely not so long awaited return of your good friend Mason.

I had forgotten all about RvB but that might chance with the recent addition of the Reconstruction series.

      Heres to new beginnings. CHEERS!

... is pretty kickass. All of the preveiws made it look kinda cheesy, but its actually really fun. If you guys ever played The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay for the original Xbox, its by the same people. If you haven't played said game then you should check it out, tis also being remade for the 360 and is said to be released in Winter.

    • I know its myspace but its cool.

**** If you are under the age of 12...you shouldnt even read this

and if you do, you should not repost this.

Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid.

It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it.

      You're a 90's kid if:

      You can finish this [ice ice _ _ _ _ ]

      You remember watching:
      -Doug
      -Ren & Stimpy
      -Pinky and the Brain
      -AAAAAAAH Real Monsters!
      -Rockos modern Life.

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"

You just cant resist finishing this . . . "Iiiiiiin west philidelphia born and raised . . ."

      You remember:
      -TGIF
      -Step by Step
      -Family Matters
      -Dinosaurs
      -Boy Meets World.

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

      You remember reading "Goosebumps"

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence . . . not

      when everyhting was settled by:
      -rock paper scissors or
-bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or
-daddy had a donkey inky binky bonky.

when cops and robbers was a daily activity.

when we played Hide and go seek until our legs grew numb.

when we used to obey our parents

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time.

"Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" was both a game and a TV game show.

      Captain Planet. He's a Hero.

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green ranger, were meant to be together. ♥♥♥

You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genisis became popular.

You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny.

You remember watching Home Alone 1, 2 , and 3 . . . and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"

      You remember watching:
      -The Magic School Bus
      -Wishbone
      -Reading Rainbow on PBS.

You remember when Yo-Yos were cool.

You remember those Where's Waldo books.

      You remember eating Warheads.

      You remember watching:
      -the 1st Batman
      -Aladdin
      -Ninja Turtles
      -3 Ninjas movies.

      You remember Ring Pops.

You remember drinking Surge, and Tang.

If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB!"

When they made the new lunchables so that you could make pizza AND tacos.

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.

Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them.

You played and/or collected "Pogs" :)

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere.

      one word. . . Furbies.

You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.

And Windows 95 was the best.

You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.

      Michael Jordan was a king.

YIKES pencils and erasers were the stuff!

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.

You remember when the new Beanie Babies and Talking Elmo were always sold out

      You collected those Beanie Babies.

      Carebears

Gak was the coolest stuff invented.

      Lambchop's song never ended.

      The old dollar bills.

Silver dollars, which were cool to have.

You remember a time before the WB.

You collected all the Troll dolls

If you even know what an original walkman is.

You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.

You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

You know the Macarena by heart.

"Talk to the hand" . . . enough said

You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"

You went to McDonald's to play in the playplace.

You remember playing on merry go rounds at the playground.

      Before the MySpace frenzy . . .

      Before the Internet & text messaging . . .

      Before Sidekicks & iPods . . .

      Before MIKE JONES . . .

      Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX . . .

      Before Spongebob . . .

Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.

When light up sneakers were cool.

When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.

When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.

      When we recorded
      stuff on VCRs.

When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off of our walkman.

When checking out drawing books and that one book about the rainbow fish from the library was THE cool thing to do.

      You had slap bracelets!

      Way back.

Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.

Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!!

Post this in your bulletin if you remember these days . . . .

    • Stuff.

      pollo_loco

I wonder how many posts I've had with the title "Stuff." Anyway, yesterday I went to my girlfriend, Morgan's, house and we had some fun and watched Donnie Darko. I still don't fully understand that movie but whatever.

And my money dilemna has only gotten worse now that Guitar Hero 3 is coming out in fall (I hope). So I've decided to put off some games, which has really made me mad.

So the games I'm definatly buying are the following:
Guitar Hero 3, Halo 3, Bioshock, GTA IV, Mass Effect, and Half-Life 2: Orange Pack

The games I'll buy if I still have money are: (in order from first to last)
Army of Two, Left 4 Dead (check it out at L4D.com), Mercenaries 2, Assassin's Creed, and PGR 4.

So thats about it for now.

      Heh yeah.

Those were the good ole days.

I'll tell you one thing. If it wasn't for the Halo games and some of the greatest friends in my life, I would saying living right now is like living in a shit hole.

90s was great. We had everything and we lived great. Not today, people are too worried about offending people to today and always playing it safe.

That's nice, but it sure is super duper!

    • skidogallard

I didn't even have to format it. And I didn't lose any functionality either, because all I had to do was boot on my external hard drive which has a clone of OS X on it. Then I started SuperDuper! and told it to copy back different files. While that was running I opened up Firefox and posted that journal.

    • skidogallard

Well, if I was still on my Windows box, I would have formated my hard drive and reinstalled Windows. That process in itself would take about 40 minutes. Then I would have to copy all of my data back onto the drive, and reinstall programs and drivers, which would probably take another 3 hours. Restoring my Mac back to a working state only took about 15 minutes. As far as I'm concerned, that is a lot faster that about 3 hours and 40 minutes.
