How did it take me this long to realize just because I friend someone doesn't mean I automatically watch them.

This explains so much in regards to why I wasn't getting journal updates for a lot of my friends.

I think next up in my line of tshirts is a "fuck it i mean YOLO right" tshirt.

I will wear it everywhere and bask in the disgusted looks when people fail to realize yolo is being used ironically.

    • One bitchin' wreath

I haven’t been very satisfied with the wreaths I’ve seen in stores or the one we currently have, so I decided to make my own. As a massive Utah Utes fan, I think it expresses me very well.

      tumblr_me2ous0B5O1ql4c8io1_500.png

I started with a plain white wreath. The first thing was wrapping the LED lights around the center wire on the back of the wreath (you can see the glow in the middle). I realized that one LED string of lights wasn't bright enough, so I got another and twisted the two together to have more lights. The strands are powered by AA batteries which are luckily not in very bulky containers. I added the lights because I wanted something to light up the U at night.

Next was attaching the U flag to the back of the wreath. I bought a flag that most people stick in their car windows that attaches to the top of the car and cut it off the post. I cut small holes in the corners of the wreath and attacked it to the thick wire frame with thin craft wire. It's a little looser than I want, but it's secure which is what matters.

Next was the ornaments. I started with the red snowflakes, attaching them to the wreath using the thin wire hangers you use to attach Christmas ornaments to a Christmas tree. I added the flag in the lower left next by using the same hangers, but cutting holes through the white straps to loop them though (the flag isn't an actual ornament so there was no hanger).

Next came the balls. The bunches with the bigger ball ornaments I connected using craft wire and attached using wire ornament hangers. The small bunch in the top right I connected using string (since I wanted them to look looser; it looked weird with wire) and then hooked the string onto an ornament hanger. I did the same for the bell ornaments in the bottom center, as well as the lightbulb ornament in the top center.

Last was the rubber U in the very bottom center - once again easily attached using wire ornament hangers - and the star clusters, which had wires at the bottom I could just wrap onto the wreath branches.

It measures roughly two feet across, so it's pretty sizeable too. It looks nice on my door, that's for sure.

I don't mean to post a journal entry so quickly after another but I know I will completely forget to post this if I don't do it now. My good friend Ash surprised me with an early Christmas present not too long ago. I guess it was time to get a tumblr URL more fitting for a RoosterTumblr group admin.

I am now the proud owner of Shisno.com and I regret absolutely nothing. smiley13.gif

My friend just recently got involved with a really awesome project and I wanted to share it with everyone. It's called Play me, I'm yours and involves street pianos. Aw yeah.

      www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEEh4WcKM1Y

This is my friend Tyler playing his original piece Everglades as part of Play me, I'm yours.

Play Me, I’m Yours is an art piece by Luke Jerram, designed to bring community members and local artists together.

Luke's art has placed "street pianos" in cities across the world, located in public parks, bus shelters, train stations, outside galleries, markets, and even on bridges and ferries. The pianos are available for any member of the public to play and enjoy, and are decorated by local artists.

There are pianos in tons of countries and across countries. You can check to see if there are any in your town by checking out streetpianos.com. If there aren't and you have initiative, you can click a link on the site to get them in your town.

RTX Has been awesome. I'm going to hit up the Alamo tonight with Larissa and then after that probably just unwind. I've posted some pics in my image gallery, and cataloged all my awesome adventures here.

Despite a health problem the first day setting me back, I still managed to have an awesome time <3
