I hate writing these things, but anyway, I'm going off to college for trombone performance and music composition. Also education.

As the title states, I haven't been on rvb in months. My karma has gone way down, but I don't care. Also rvb has gotten some revamping done to it, it appears. Just saying I popped in to look around, I may be back on rvb sometime later, but not today. Or this week. It doesn't really matter if I'm ever on rvb does it. I mean, I doubt any of you truly cared that I was gone, and I highly doubt anyone read this at all, so in the massive universal perspective on my appearance in the rvb website, I suppose it's a negligibly small matter. heh.
Well, I'll bore you no more with my incessant and trite babble. Seeya later fellow nerds, geeks, and such others.

I'll be gone for a few days, our orchestra is going to N.Y.C. to perform Brahms Requiem. I'm first trombone btw. It's going to be fun. Seeya.

Yes, that's right. You heard it. Fortunately it's not all that bad.
Our school gets to perform Brahms' Requiem at St. Paul the Apostle church in N.Y.C.
I play the first trombone part, and It's expanding my range of notes upwards.
In contrast, I'm taking the Bass Trombone part in the musical Anything Goes, and so I am also expanding my lower range (can anyone say pedal G? pedal B?, uurgh).
The life of music is tough and demanding at times, especially if I'm doing performance and composition (which I will be). But I look forward to it.
I think that's all I can think of right now.

Erhem. Anyway, today marks the approximate 4th anniversary of the existence of my glasses.
That doesn't sound like much, but consider this....
1-I roll over them all the time if I fall asleep reading.
2-They have been hit 3 times in the same hour by a basketball from a half court away. They fell apart after that, and I had to put them back together. It sucked.
3-After incident 2, they fall apart periodically, but all I have to do is re-screw them back together again.
I am very proud of my glasses. I had to get new glasses 4 years ago, and I was very picky. I was picky for a reason, I was looking for quality glasses. I found them, it was like finding my soulmate, except these aren't my soulmate, they're my "eyemate." Sorry for the pun.... I had to look past the cheezy pairs of glasses to find a good, solid, sturdy set of glasses. And so, from here on out, my current glasses shall bear the name of "Spectacles of Titan Endurance."

      I'm sure we are all in doubt as to my real roots (if you actually know me, that is). I shall reveal them, and their approximate percentages;
      Hungarian - 48%
French - 22% note, this is Tunisian French, so it's African French -> I'm an Afro-Frank
      English - 20%
Everything else in the world possible - 10% total (I doubt you'd understand why)

    • Jazz Festival

The Jazz Band at our school just went to the Lakeland Jazz Festival this Saturday, and we got all 1's for everything we did ( 1 is outstanding, 5 is needing serious work). If anyone here went to that as well, my school is Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. We played Manteca, Hay Burner, and Wind Machine. It was fun, and I got to do some improv afterwords, but I kinda sucked, not knowing how to do it, or if I was doing anything wrong, but the improv melody I came up with was alright. Well, to anyone else who plays trombone or euphonium like me, keep playing, it's great fun.

My computer just did a sort of half-crash, and I think I like it this way, seeing as how it doesn't happen to me that often. Anyway, about a week ago, I went to a Solo and Ensemble contest with my trombone, and I got a ONE!!
(range is one to five, one being the best, a five earnef from the following, as far as I believe, which might be fun to do my senior year...: you insult the judge, don't play the piece you were supposed to, play a piece different from the accompanist, walk out in the middle of the performance, and completely ignore tempo and dynamics for the short time you were in the room)
So, besides that, it was a fairly normal week. For any musicians that know of the contest, just imagine what I described above, and have fun with the thought.... : )
