Does ANYONE still watch this? Seriously, if you do take me off your list. I haven't used this profile in a few years. lol If I still talk to you ya know where to find me.
I only say this because in my boredom I logged back on this one and found a comment only weeks old. How does THAT work? I'm surprised this one still shows up on any searches. So yeah, I'm just being bored....

Finally, Some NY Trip info
shaardanNews
Well, we left on Tues. the 18 from Fresno. The flight was around two and a half hours. I was able to sit next to someone I know, so I had a little somethignt o do other than reading or playing Game Boy. We landed in Dallas about 20 minutes early, so Iw as able to buy myself lunch and use the restroom. After a three and a half hour flight we landed in NY. That day we got our rooms, ate dinner at a very nice Itallian restaurant, and saw Times Square.
The next day we walked around and saw some of the sights before heading to an improvisation workshop. That was really fun. Actors are always so upbeat and fun to work with! We had yet another wonderful dinner at what we referef to as the "American restaurant". That night we went to see The Odd Couple wth Nathan Lane and Mathew Broderick. It was very entertaining. Absolutely hysterical, especially Nathan Lane. The ending was pretty predictable, and Matthew Broderick wasn't as good as he could have been (not bad by any means, though), but it was very entertaining, and isn't that the point? And yes, I got his autograph on my playbill. : )
I'll keep going tomorrow. I haven't had the pics developed yet, but I'll post those when I have them. Ciao!

Words cannot describe how disgusting this woman is. Frankly, I'm stunned. It's the worst of all religious stereotypes rolled into one.
Sick, sick woman. She deserves Hell if anyone does. -

And it was TOTALLY AWESOME!
I'm kinda tired and jetlagged right now, so I'll post a Journal later. I have a freaking shitload of alerts, so if I don't comment on your stuff it's because it's one of hundreds of others, so please don't expect me to get to it quickly.
it's good to be back, and I hope to talk to you guys soon!

On Tuesday I'm leaving for New York. JOYGASM! I'm going to see The Odd Couple, Wicked, and Spamalot. I will come back the Saturday, so don't expect to see me online.
Wish me luck! I've been waiting a long time for this trip! -

My mom is upset at me for staying up late on the PC, so I am no longer allowed to be on the PC past 10 PM for any reason. I will try to exploit loopholes whenever possible, but until I pull it off don't expect to see me on here as much. Odd really. She has no problem with me being up until midnight reading, but heaven forbid I'm on the Internet. *rolls eyes*
Anyway, just FYI. -
Life Blows

The illegal immigration bills are really hitting close to home. Here in Visalia we have a very large Mexican population. Many of whom are illegal. Many of whom have children who go to my school, or grandchildren. These kids are all up in arms against the bill.
The problem is ignorance. Many are protesting, but few actually know anything about the bill. I actually had to TELL SOME OF THEM WHAT THE BILL WAS ABOUT. No joke. It's sad. They all think that people are racist for coming up with the bill, and will not listen to what people have to say.
In addition, all they think about is themselves. They talk about how hard life is, how much they needed to come to America. Newsflash: the world doesn't revolve around them. When they evade taxes, or send money back, or force us to pay for their jail time (27% of imates in prison are illegal immigrants), they are hurting our economy. I can sympathize wih their plight, but to come to America, breaking the law, and expecting to be helped is absolutely ridiculous.
They often say that this country was founded on illegal immigration, and as such it should be allowed. The difference is that much of the land was unnoccupied and therefore colonized. Also, the devastation of the Indians is often looked upon as the low point of American history. Using it to justify illegal immigration is quite the double-standard.
I'm all for them having a chance to become citizens once they're here, which is essentially what the most popular proposed bill allows. It would give them six years to register, in addition to a fine of $1,000 to work and another $1,000 to be allowed to stay, in addition to learning English. It's the ones who have no intention of ever becoming citizens who cause so many problems.
Don't even get me started on them waving Mexican flags and taking down/turning upside down American ones. Nor them saying "We take the jobs nobody wants." Anybody who says that doesn't get out much. Many poor people on welfare (I've known some) would take any paycheck they could get, but they can't compete with someone who works for like $2 an hour or less.
I feel conflicted, however, as I have friends (not close ones, mind you) who have illegal immigrant family members. I feel kind of bad going for a bill which could potentially harm them. But I keep thinking about all of those people breaking the law to come here, and look back on my great-grandparents who immigrated here and the pride they feel, and I feel most of those doubts go away.
It's going to get much worse before it gets better, especially around here. I'm going to have to keep my mouth shut about my opinion, as I'm sure tempers will flare. I can only hope things work out for the best. But nobody is really going to win here.
In other news, my Xbox fried. I dunno why. But when i try and turn it on it crackles and smells like burnt plastic. I think it's safe to assume that my hard drive is toast. Hundreds of hours down the drain. And with Crimison Skies, which I just got last week and hadn't beaten yet, still in the disk tray. So if I'm slighty moody, these are the reasons why.
-Yours truly,
Ryan -

In case my images don't tell you, I saw and loved the movie.
The plot is quite interesting, with many allusions to modern political issues, such as religion in politics and homophobia. The acting was quite supurb. The dialogue was nigh perfect. A true masterpiece.
Don't go in expecting an action movie. It's not. It's a highly thought provoking movie that sticks with you long after you leave the theatre. It's not that the action isn't good. It's excellent. Bt it's not the movie's true draw.
I would go more in-depth, but why make you read about all the ways it rules? Go see it as soon as you can. You won't regret it.
As a primer, here is a monologue by V after his entrance. Try reading it fast out loud!
"This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V. "
Until later! I plan on doing another Urban Dead journal soon. I'm just waiting to see if anytrhing big happens. All that I've really done is my usual tanking against zombies.

Freaking Teenage Angst!

I never thought I would say this, but I am jealous.
Yes, I know. It sounds lame of me to say that. I never really thought I would ever be essentially competing for a girl's attention, but here it is, and I'm jealous because she likes him.
*sigh*
I went out with her a long time ago. We broke up because we both needed our space back (and I wasn't the greatest BF at the time, either), and she's been one of my best friends since then. I still liked her, but knew she wasn't interested. Besides, I had my eye on other people (as many of you know).
Well, a while back I started liking her again. We are almost exactly alike, so it's no surprise really. I'm about 75% sure that she's at least a little interested in me too, or would at least give it another chance. My problem is that she really likes a mutual friend of ours. This isn't the first time. They liked each other a while back, but despite me trying to hook them up, they were each to stubborn to make a move. She said she doesn't want to be the one to make the move, and he wasn't sure he should. It drove me crazy, as everyone knew they liked each other.
Now, almost a year later, it's happening again. Except that they are REALLY flirty with each other. To the point where it's annoying to be around it. Heck, even another friend of her's pointed out that it's kinda annoying. She wants him to ask her out, but he hasn't done so. They've been very flirty for at least a month, and still no progression. See where my annoyance stems from?
I really don't like it when people flirt excessively. I've had a lot of bad experiences involving friends flirting (usually them ignoring everyone else to do so, which I have major demons with in my past), and since I like the same her it's painful (almost literally) to watch them flirt so much and obviously with each other. I've done some recon for her, and he does like her, and he knows she likes him, but he STILL HASN'T MADE A GODDAMN MOVE! She knows he's probably not going to, yet she's still all into him. I really don't get it. I know she probably doesn't figure that I like her, and understandably right now I'm not gonna say anything, but I find it highly annoying that they don't simply get together if they're goign to, instead of pointless flirting.
Argh, that damn flirting. It bugs both me and her friend Mary, and we both have said they do it too much, but they still do it. Granted, she doesn't know the true depth of my problem with it, but still, if someone says that something you do bugs them, as a friend shouldn't you make an effort to stop? They did briefly, but sooner or later they're back at it again. At least I'm usually not around to see it.
I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but I really am a better match for her. We both have most of the same hobbies, we talk all the time on the phone, I act like a gentleman, I can drive, and I have a job, so we could actually do stuff, unlike last time. He doesn't even have his permit, no job, doesn't call, doesn't usually act like a gentlemen (she said I'm way more of one than he is), sometimes drinks, has been in multiple fights, and is not a good student. Yet she is still way more into him, even though he is too much of a chicken to make a move, even though he KNOWS she would say yes.
I feel horrible saying this stuff. He's my friend, yet I cannot think about him and her without getting angry. It's always on my mind, and it's driving me crazy. Friends don't do that, right? But how can I control my emotions? Especially jealousy, which is such a new one for me.
Why does my last year of high school have to be so complicated?

Yeah, but it comes after the Big Bang. It still is happening with each star's death. It intrigued me...I never looked at it that way. We were once apart of stars. Yes, we are just made of their atoms. But, obviously, atoms are really important.
