Hey, look at me making a new journal. Mostly it's just so I can show Matt the journal thing, but I figured I should update.

I haven't made a new one in a while because I wanted to keep it on my happy journal since any updates I made would have to be considerably less happy. So I guess the first thing I should probably say is that my dad passed away in December. So that kinds of sucks. Cancer is kind of the worst.

Now that we've got that out of the way though, I guess I can make journals again about things that suck less. Like how my cat is still pretty awesome. And I've moved again. Still in the same city, but now I'm in a house instead of a townhouse, so I've done a bit of upgrading. Hopefully I won't have to move again for a few years. I like going to a new place, but the moving part is really annoying. Oh, and next month, I'll be going to Canada for the first time so that I can visit the boyfriend instead of having him come down to see me. So that should be pretty fun. I'm looking forward to all the stereotypical Canadian things. :P

Do they not have smiley faces anymore? Or color? What's the point of even being a sponsor if I can't have smiley faces and color? :'(

So this is my new journal that Matt asked for. Since he's needy and everything. And the only one who will read it.

Things are mostly going well for me. I have a job I enjoy (except that I get awful headaches every other day), I have a boyfriend who's pretty ok (even though he lives far, far away), and my cat is super adorable (even if she's sometimes pukey and whines constantly).

I don't necessarily enjoy those things in that order. smiley7.gif

Hmmm...I'd like to put something specific. Have I mentioned how my job entails me playing on Facebook all day? I do customer service over social media which means I'm required to keep Facebook open so I can play on that all the time without getting in any sort of trouble at all. It's very nice. Something about that building gives me the worst headaches though. I don't know why. :(

The boyfriend is coming to visit tomorrow. That's all I'll say about that since he probably doesn't want everyone knowing all the details of his life. :P

That's all, I guess. Can I go to sleep now?

My heart is happy. Like really intensely happy in a way that has been several years in the making.

So all in all, a pretty good past couple of weeks. And an extra good past couple of days. smiley12.gif

I hate my internet and the fact that it never works.

I also hate people who are stupid and childish and make you feel bad about yourself. And the fact that I can't avoid said people because that would make me look bad.

Also, my birthday is tomorrow. I'm not too fond of that either because it's just another reminder that I'm going to die alone. Apparently I've reached that point of my life where birthdays are no longer a good thing. Which is also depressing.

But at least my cat loves me! smiley0.gif

My internet sucks. Stop it, internet. Why do I pay for you if you don't work?

Or...why are you included in the price of my rent if you don't work? They should lower my rent. Or fix my internet. Stupid internet.

Feelings are stupid, and annoying, and horrible, and wonderful, and amazing all at the same time. And I hate them. And people who make me feel them. People who will eventually make me feel sad feelings, because that's how these things always go.

So I finished Tales of Vesperia finally. It's a really good game.

      But...

I want to play Tales of Symphonia so bad now! And I don't have it available. Sadness. smiley2.gif

Life gets a lot busier when you have a full time job and people who actually want to see you. Or...not necessarily want to see you, but are obligated due to previous commitments and are probably stuck with you for the next who knows how long. I'm going to assume people want to spend time with me though. smiley8.gif

But yeah, sometimes I feel like I have no free time. And everyone keeps pestering me about things. Build a character, play guild wars, why haven't we talked yet, watch Chuck. Pfft. I will happily accomplish all of those things, but I'm going to need someone to do me a favor and break my legs or something. That way I don't have to go to work. So if you want something, you'll have to do something for me too. :P

Things are going pretty good for me, I guess. I'm happier here anyway. My dad had his surgery and everything is looking good on that front though they will have to monitor him for the next few years, so here's hoping everything stays good. Other than that, not much I can really say.

Hello, everyone. I've been quieter than usual lately. That's because work has been keeping me very busy. Also, my dad has cancer which I found out in late October. I don't really want to talk about that though. I just figured I'd let you know why I have been so quiet. I just don't really have much to say.

(This journal is short and choppy, but I'm hoping you can all forgive me.)

Well, I hope everyone else has good things happening for them. smiley1.gif

You still visit daily? That's clearly more than I do considering how late I am getting to these two comments...This weather does blow though. Ali!!!! <3

Hey, so I was just looking through my comment section after not being on here after so god damn long, and you were the last person to comment on my profile a year ago. Now the comment you left actually is a huge eye opener for me. You said, "There's nothing wrong with wanting to be happy", and now that's stuck in my head at the moment. It's a good thing, because I haven't been in the best of moods lately with everything going down the shitter financially and all, but after reading that again it's definitely ease things as if there's nothing wrong; things seem right.

I figured I'd tell you that, maybe as a return in the future in case you look at your past comments and need a pick me up of some sort. Anyways, add me on Skype or Facebook or whatever... samy.salti <--- Skype.

It turns out I was actually at the beginning of season 3. Also, haaaaaate Shaw. smiley4.gif

I can't remember how far I ever really got on the show. I was somewhere in season 4, but I don't know exactly when I stopped watching. Probably about halfway through. So I'm sort of almost caught up to where I was? Possibly?

I actually started watching it from the beginning again. Because I want to watch all of it at once. I'm somewhere in season 2, I think. But I'll at least watch some today so that you quit pestering me so much. smiley6.gif

Pffft, you think I give two squirts of piss about whether what I type is "good" or "bad?" That's irrelevant. It's about getting your thoughts out there. That's all that matters. This isn't being judged. Just say them. You'll feel better. Besides, they can't be anywhere near as bad as half the things I type.

Work is keeping me really busy. Also, there are things happening in my life that I've meant to make a journal about, but I'm not great at typing "important" things. Either they're good and I'm worried they will stop being good and I'll look stupid or they're bad, and I just don't want to talk about them. Uh, this is in the bad category. But yeah, I'm fully aware I need to communicate better.

Ha ha, I don't have AC in my car either. And my car traps heat worse than any other car I've been in. Which I really don't understand since I used to have a car with an entirely black interior so you'd think that'd be worse.

When I get home from work maybe. Assuming it's not so hot I want to crawl in a corner and melt.

I'm pretty sure Thanos is more than enough to get them all together again. There's also rumor that they would be adding two of the X-Men into the fray. So, that could throw a wrench in the dynamic a bit to give you that team building aspect again. I actually think it would be pretty cool to introduce Thanos in Thor's sequel somehow. I mean, the Infinity Gauntlet is in Odin's Vault right now. He has to get that somehow. I'm not sure how feasible it is, but maybe have Thanos appear in all of the sequels. Obviously, not as THE bad guy, but as the one actually pulling the strings. You know, like he was pulling Loki's string in this movie. In other words, he's going to try and take them out individually before finally just saying screw it and going all out in second Avengers.

Oh, it is blue...Haha, I've never noticed.

Atta girl. That's finally getting the ball rolling. Good things will come around for you yet.

Meh, the eight to twelve wasn't horrible. I just took an afternoon nap anyway. That was easily the worst class ever though.

It tastes amazing. They didn't lie on the video. I thought it would taste bad too, but it didn't taste alcoholic at all.

That's where you already lose. Wanting to challenge it shows initiative and that isn't being worthless.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure an actual black abyss where all happiness goes to die would be formed and slowly suck the life out of everyone nearby...Which actually sounds pretty awesome to me.

I can still have him. We just need to keep our love even more secret.

That would suck. Our hands would get all sticky. That would be horrible. It would be worth it though.

I don't need them exactly. My vision isn't blurred at all. I see everything as I should. I just can't read everything. Basically, I just need them so I could read the chalkboard from the back of the classroom. Now, to read road signs. I can see them, but I can't tell you what they say. Which, yes, seems important, but since I don't go on long road trips and I still know a big rid sign says "STOP," I'm fine for now. Although, playing video games proved tough because I can't read what's on the screen exactly. I was close enough to it though where I could squint and make things out.

    • sphinxter

New Jersey does suck, but he'll be fifteen minutes away from downtown Manhattan. So, he'll be plenty close enough to everything worth seeing. It will be nice having a close friend out there too. He isn't my best friend though. That would still be Joe and there's pretty much no chance his wife and him ever move away.

$60 K is really nice though. Although, in and around NYC, $60 doesn't get you as far as it does in Nebraska. It doesn't get you anywhere close really.

    • sphinxter

Yeah, I'm so awesome that I'm capable of doing two things at once. I can even pat my head and rub my belly...Yes, they do think I'm very strange though. I like to think it's part of my charm. They'll tell you that nope, I'm just one strange guy.

    • sphinxter

I saw that too. The Cubs did win. Although, it's a spring training game that literally means nothing and some of the players who played won't even make the team. Still, good for the Cubs.

I sat here thinking what movie you could possible think I was talking about and then finally decided you probably meant Beetlejuice.

Alright, fine whatever. Think what you want. I can't force you to do anything different. If something you're doing isn't working though, I would think it would be smart to try a different approach.

Yes, and like I said, the only way I will know for sure if things would work with her is giving it a shot. The same goes for you. Yes, if you don't put yourself out there, you're guaranteed to not find anyone. That is the only thing I can say for certain. You give things a shot though and maybe things will work out. You have to try though.

    • sphinxter

The internet is being a real b-word lately.

I'm telling you that you're thinking way too much about it. For instance, there was one friend, the friend who's getting married in about a month and whose wedding I am attending, that I haven't hung out with much lately. He was going out with some of my other friends and I would know about it. It annoyed me. I complained to some other friends and they literally told me what I told you. We've hung out the last two Saturdays now. What did it take? Me asking what is going on. He then told me what is going on and the next time, he told me without me having to ask. It happens sometimes. You just have to keep at it.

Actually, I shouldn't say I "know." I should say that I "think." I obviously can't know without giving it a shot. Which is my point. You have to try. Nothing worth having in life is handed to you unless you're really, really fortunate. 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of us aren't really, really fortunate. You're twenty-five. You're still young. Probability says you are at worst 1/3 done with your life. Yes, you could die tomorrow by some tragic accident, but you probably won't. Just go out there and do it. It's simple. You have nothing to lose at this point so just put yourself out there.

    • sphinxter

The problem with that is that my heart only says that because she's a "known." I know her much better right now. The other one could be an even better fit. I don't know. I'm dealing with the situation currently by not dealing with it at all. It's a bold approach that is certain to backfire.

    • sphinxter

Don't say, "Hey, I want to hang out." Ask him literally what is going on tonight. It's really that simple. If he still blows you off, his problem, not yours.

Stay on it. Drop them a text the day of events. They're probably not used to hanging out with you and forget. It happens. You have to keep reminding them and asking what is going on. I know it sucks. I've been there. People honestly do just forget. You can't take it personally.

You can't have that attitude. Confidence is a very sexy thing. You have to put yourself out there though. You can't expect everyone else to do the work for you. You're a good person. You just have to be willing to try and don't get discouraged when things don't go your way. It will happen.

    • sphinxter

I need to start getting a good amount asleep as opposed to getting into trouble.

Meh, what I did was good enough. It's all settled now anyway...I think.

How do I come up with games like these? It isn't on my own...Others help...And alcohol.

Still about a month and a half...I don't know though. I'm sure they'll think of one...Their opinion matters though because they are my friends. They have to like whatever chick I end up with.

    • sphinxter

Nope, the rules are that it's as much as you want to drink. So, if you didn't want much, then that just makes it even cheaper for me.

Maybe the spider and snake were going to have intercourse and create the spake or the snider. That would be awesome.

      Yeah, a whole $10.75 an hour when I have a degree...Awesome...

I meant that I didn't know her and I don't randomly make out with chicks I just met unless I'm really drunk.

    • sphinxter

It isn't buying a bottle. It's a night in a bar buying glasses. A bottle would be a far too easy way out. I figured after a shot or two then maybe some higher end mixed drinks and you'd be out. You would feel really good though. So, it would be worth it. Granted, you might not remember any of it come the next day.

It must have been a stupid snake then. That or the snake didn't respect you enough to even bother being sneaky. Maybe he/she was like, "I ain't scurred of her. I don't need to be sneaky. I can just slither up to her and bite/swallow her without her putting up a fight."

Hey, anything you want to do to make sure I win the lottery I am 100% down for.

Meh, I knew they wouldn't actually keep it from me. Besides, I got to outsmart them...Meh, I'm used to it. They've been doing it for a couple of years now.

unfortunately, i can't enlighten you. i'm not a coffee shop dweller, and actually, if i were planning on going to a coffee shop, i wouldn't have brought a computer. i HAD the computer and wanted to USE the computer, and a coffee shop was the only place i could think of that had wifi and wouldn't kick me out for sitting there for two hours and only buying a couple of drinks.

i don't think that's very common. then again, maybe that's the only reason anybody brings a computer to a coffee shop.

    • sphinxter

I doubt I'll have time to play it. I'm not even done with my current 3DS games. I miss being able to play games all day.

Is it still called "catching up" if it's over? Isn't it just called "finishing" now?

If you played the first, which I think you did, then it's worth playing. They fixed the major complaints. You have quite a bit of freedom to move around especially once you start unlocking more places. The story though is "meh." That could be generous too. It has to do with time travel. Time travel is either really well done or really poorly done. This was pretty poorly done. The characters are awesome though and there's character development. So, that's good. Hope returns, non-party member, but he's not annoying. He grew up. Lightning is the tits although you don't see too much of her. Sareh, despite the idiotic way of spelling her name, has grown on me. She's not as awesome as Lightning, but she's up there. The battle system is even better this time around which is impressive in and of itself. I'm fully enjoying it. I heard there's already going to be Final Fantasy XIII-3 as well. Which means I'll probably be annoyed by a cliffhanger ending.

      Prove it.

You can get the blades different colors. They don't have to be the same. Also, those are supposed to be hit on things. They use them in "real" lightsaber dueling. They're better than the toy ones. I know. I have a toy one. There's a reason why they're cheap...They're a toy...You can't have awesome duels with them.

I don't know if you looked at the main page, but it shows the colors they have. You can get any of them in any of those colors. Also, the double bladed ones can be detached to become two single bladed ones.

I had no bottle opener on hand. So, I had to open it against the counter. It worked, but it also shook it up a bit causing it to explode all over the place. The dog got to some of it before I could clean it up. It was pretty funny. He would lick some of it up and then bark at the place he licked. He did that a few times and then just started barking at random things.

Not this one. I can openly play it and he doesn't, and hasn't, asked me once what I'm playing. No one else knows. Then again, I don't bother trying at any other house/apartment. If I ever get wi-fi in my own house, I won't need to do it over there anyway...Actually, I saw that I haven't even played it in over a month. So, obviously I'm not too worried about it anymore.

I'm glad to hear that. I hope you can get a feline friend soon then.

Yeah, I just found out that my time off is different...Maybe better overall...I now get the first, second, fifth, nineteenth, and twentieth off. So, I get a five day break, a four day break, and a three day break...Not bad I suppose. It starts this Thursday too.

I can offer some suggestions if you would like that my good friend. Even if you're doing with Goodkind's series.

Well, by the time I eat dinner, I have about from 6:30-12:00 during weeknights to play games. Now, I try to go to bed around eleven. I also watch TV. So, maybe about three hours a night at most. I can still get a good chunk of gaming in on the weekends too since I'm up around nine and don't really do anything until like six at the earliest most weekends. So, there's still plenty of gaming time.

Plus, AC:R wasn't that long of a game story wise.

Meh, it isn't like I have the time to play a ton of video games at the moment anyway. Buying a system nearing the end of its life cycle just for essentially one game, four in the PS3's case, just doesn't seem smart in the least. Like I said though, if I get that job and thus a huge boost to my funds, I will jump on them.
