it was cool my school bands went to marine world to present our music and my band was the combined band and the other bands that are at my school but diff periods were jazz band and concert band and they placed second in their category and combined band, which is me and my period band, we placed first in our category. that is cool for us cuz we played after a high school band and that was competition. our school i think scored the highest points out of all like 8 other bands!! =)

    • stella awards amazing idiots

We're in a land of idiots.

      >2005 Annual Stella Awards
      >It's time once again to review the winners of the
      >Annual Stella Awards. The Stella Awards are named
      >after 81-year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled hot
      >coffee on herself and successfully sued McDonald's for
      >thier neglagence. That case inspired the Stella
      >Awards for the most frivolous, ridiculous, successful
      >lawsuits in the United States.
      >Here are this year's winners:
      >5th Place (tie):
      >Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas, was awarded
      >$80,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her
      >ankle tripping over a toddler who was running inside a
      >furniture store. The owners of the store were
      >understandably surprised at the verdict, considering
      >the misbehaving little toddler was Ms. Robertson's
      >5th Place (tie):
      >19-year-old Carl Truman of Los Angeles won $74,000 and
      >medical expenses when his neighbor ran over his hand
      >with a Honda Accord. Mr. Truman apparently didn't
      >notice there was someone at the wheel of the car while
      >he was trying to steal his neighbor's hubcaps.
      >5th Place (tie):
      >Terrence Dickson of Pennsylvania, was leaving a house
      >he had just finished burglarizing through the garage.
      >Because of a malfunction he was not able to get the
      >automatic garage door to open. He also couldn't
      >re-enter the house because the door connecting the
      >house and garage locked when he pulled it shut.
      >Unfortunately, the home owners were on vacation, and
      >Mr. Dickson found himself locked in the garage for
      >eight days. He subsisted on a case of Pepsi he found
      >and a large bag of dry dog food. He sued the
      >homeowner's insurance claiming the situation caused
      >him undue mental anguish. The jury agreed to the tune
      >of $500,000.
      >4th Place:
      >Jerry Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas, was awarded
      >$14,500 and medical expenses after being bitten on the
      >buttocks by his neighbor's beagle. The beagle was on a
      >chain in its owner's fenced yard. The award was less
      >than what was sought because the jury felt the dog
      >might have been just a little provoked by Mr.
      >Williams, who had climbed over the fence into the yard
      >and was shooting it repeatedly with a pellet gun.
      >3rd Place:
      >A Philadelphia restaurant was ordered to pay Amber
      >Carson of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, $113,500 after she
      >slipped on a soft drink and broke her coccyx
      >(tailbone). The beverage was on the floor because Ms.
      >Carson had thrown it at her boyfriend 30 seconds
      >earlier during an argument.
      >2nd Place:
      >Kara Walton of Claymont, Delaware, successfully sued
      >the owner of a night club in a neighboring city when
      >she fell from the bathroom window to the floor and
      >knocked out her two front teeth. This occurred while
      >Ms. Walton was trying to sneak through the window in
      >the ladies room to avoid paying the $3.50 cover
      >charge. She was awarded $12,000 and dental expenses.
      >1st Place:
      >This year's run away winner was Mrs. Merv Grazinski of
      >Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mrs. Grazinski purchased a
      >brand new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On her first
      >trip home, (from an OU football game), while driving
      >on the freeway, she set the cruise control at 70 mph
      >and calmly left the driver's seat to go into the back
      >and make herself a sandwich. Not surprisingly, the RV
      >left the freeway, crashed and overturned.
      >Mrs.Grazinski sued Winnebago for not advising her in
      >the owner's manual that she couldn't actually do this.
      >The jury awarded her $1,750,000 plus a new motor home.
      >(The company actually changed their manuals on the
      >basis of this suit, just in case there were any other
      >morons around.)
      >Congratulations to this year's winners and juries for
      >being complete and utter morons.

    • 26 ways to make a girl smile

This is directed mostly to the guys out there that have girlfriends and girls that want to have great boyfriends.

26 ways to make a girl smile
      1. If you like her, say so.

      2. Hold her hand at any moment . . . even if its just for a second.

      3. Hug her from behind

      4. Leave her voice messages to wake up to.

      5. When she is upset, hold her tight and tell her how much she means to you.

      6. Recognize the small things . . . they usually mean the most.

      7. If youre talking to another girl, when your done talking, walk over and hug her and kiss her....let her know she's yours and they arent.

      8. Write her notes or call her just to say "hi"

      9. Introduce her to your friends . . . as your girlfriend.

      10. Play with her hair.

      11. Pick her up (she loves it!!! even when she says to put her down)

      12. Get upset if another guy touches her and she doesnt like it

      13. Make her laugh

      14. Let her fall asleep in your arms.

      15. If she's mad at you, kiss her!

      16. If you care about her, then (we all know this is a challenge) TELL HER

      17. Every guy should give their girl 3 things: a stuffed animal(she'll hug it everytime she goes to sleep), jewlery(will treasure it forever), and one of his t-shirts (she'll most likely where it to bed) and don't forget to bring her flowers or something special once in a while.

      18. Treat her the same around your friends as you do when your alone.

      19. Look her in the eyes and smile.

      20. Hang out with her on weekends

21.Kiss her in the rain (girls love this)

22.Kiss her just for the heck of it

      23. If your listening to music, let her listen too.

      24. Remember her birthday and get her something, even if its simple and inexpensive, it came from YOU. it means all the world to HER.

      25. when she gives you a present on your birthday, Christmas, or just when ever, take it and tell her you love it, even if you don't (itll make her happy.)

      26. Always call her when you say you will, it may not seem like it, but it does hurt her and makes her thinks you don't care so call even if you can only talk for a minute.

      Hey kid.
...People tend to notice you once you post on teh forums. You might want to stay away from the Basement tho. Those guys will chew you up 'n' spit you out like watermelon seeds in july.
...hey, that was a good metaphor.
