    • OMG It's Been Forever, Yo

Wow. It's been, what, two years? A long time. =O I've been so busy and things have taken over for RvB (I know, lame, right?) but I am BACK. Yes. Now I have to catch up.

In other news, our (3rd) Xbox broke. Again. But it's not like my brother let me play it anyways. I'LL SHOW YOU! I'll get a PS3 and never let you play it! >:(

Anyways, I suppose that's it for now. I'll go through all my old profile stuff and weed out the 'not-interesting-anymore' parts. :3

A photoshopped version of myself. I spent roughly 3 days on this and I am VERY proud of it. I do Photo Manips a lot but this was the first one I did of myself and of this "nature". I usually do Fantasy ones that aren't as "Dark" as this. XD I was originally going to make myself a zombie but that goal changed halfway through. Anyways, my mouth is a zipper even though it doesn't really look like it. smiley4.gif The original picture for this is my default one now.

      Comments are appreciated! smiley0.gif

Yeah, I had to be at the hospital by 6AM this morning. I wasn't very happy. And then they stuck an IV in me to give me the painkillers and the sleeping stuff which I know how to pronounce but not how to spell. I was out within 5 seconds. smiley6.gif And then I woke up about 20 minutes after the surgery finished screaming and crying so the nurse had to give me even more drugs and an oxygen mask because I was hyperventilating (spelling?). But after that I was fine. Apparently I'm very friendly while high on drugs. smiley0.gif I was asking all kinds of questions and I smiled at every person that walked by and...yeah. XD My throat doesn't really hurt right now, it just feels like there's food or something stuck to the back of it and it's really uncomfortable. But it doesn't hurt (at least not yet). I do have 50 painkillers and antibiotics though. XD

I really want some chicken right now, but I can't eat solids. smiley5.gif

    • Driving In Albuquerque: Tips & Tricks

Ladies and Gentleman these are tips on how to survive driving in Albuquerque.

First you must learn to pronounce the city name. It is "Ahlboo kehr keh" not "Al buh kirky" or some variation of that.

Juan Tabo is pronounced Huan Tah Boh, San Pedro is Sawn Peh Droh, Candelaria is Cawn Deh Lah Ree Ah, etc.

Forget the traffic rules you learned elsewhere. We have our own version of traffic rules. . . It's called "Hold on and pray".

There is no such thing as a dangerous high-speed chase in Albuquerque...We all drive like that.

All directions start with, "Get on Central". . . which has no beginning and no end.

The morning rush hour is from 6 to 10. The evening rush hour is from 3 to 7.

Friday's rush hour starts Thursday morning.

If you actually stop at a yellow light, you will be rear ended, cussed out and possibly shot.

When you are the first one on the starting line, count to five when the light turns green before going to avoid crashing with all the drivers running the red light in cross-traffic.

Construction on Central is a way of life and a permanent form of entertainment. We had so much fun with that, we have added Montgomery/Montano and Lomas to the mix.

All unexplained sights are made clear by the phrase, "Oh, we're in Rio Rancho."

If someone actually has their turn signal on, it is probably a factory defect.

Car horns are actually "Road Rage" initiation devices.

All old ladies with blue hair in Mercedes have the right of way. PERIOD. They are the moms of lawyers.

Montgomery and Ellison. . . mysteriously change names as you cross I-25.

If you stop to ask directions on Coors Blvd or S 4th, you'd better be armed.

A trip across town (east to west) will take a minimum of two hours, although many north/south passages have an unposted minimum speed of 75.

The minimum acceptable speed on North I-25 is 85. Anything less is considered downright sissy.

The East I-40 is our daily version of NASCAR. It also ends in Edgewood.

I-25 to Santa Fe is called "The Death Trap" for two reasons: "death" and "trap".

If you attempt to utilize your turn indicators to change lanes expect the lanes beside you to close bumper-to-bumper immediately.

If it's 100-degrees, Thanksgiving must be next weekend.

If it's 10-degrees and sleeting/snowing, the Fourth of July is around the corner.

If it is 20 degrees at 6:00 in the morning and expected to get to 80 degrees later that day the Balloon Fiesta just started.

If you go to the Fair, pay the $5.00 to park INSIDE Fair Park. Parking elsewhere could cost up to $2,500 for damages, towing fees, parking tickets, etc. If some guy with a flag tries to get you to park in "his" yard, just run over him.

All amusement parks, stadiums, arenas, race tracks, airports, etc., are conveniently located as far away from EVERYTHING as possible so as to allow for ample parking on vacant lots full of weeds and stickers.

With these simple rules in mind, you are now ready to drive in Albuquerque.

      Please try and keep up.

I got a GamerTag. Hm...don't think I'll use it because my brother hogs the 360 and it's not like we have a plethora of Xbox games anyways (only sad). So my rep and stuff probably won't change until we get more games.

As for the name? I originally tried Shisha, but it was already taken so I did the randomise thing and aCertainAcorn popped up and I chose it. XD

    • Woo! It's my birthday!

      Woo! Today's my 16th birthday! :)

Argh, I hate school. It needs to die. Or at least math. Math needs to die the most horrible death possible.

But anyways, I'm almost done with first semester World Geography and Biology, and then I have to wait on second semester English 10 because they didn't order the novels.-.-

Woo, Friday (September 15th) is my 16th birthday. I'm celebrating with Usako and a few other people. We are having a luau party thing at my house. Yes, we are having a luau in September. With coconut bras and everything.XD

Oh and I watched Trinity Blood on Saturday, and it is teh most awesome thing EVER! The music is A+, the animation is A+, the storyline is super interesting and actually sort of original considering this is a vampire anime, and the characters are pretty cool too.

And I watched Bleach in English. It actually wasn't that bad. At least it was better than Naruto. I am ashamed of the people who dubbed Naruto. Most of the voices suck. Anyways, I've already seen most of Bleach, so I didn't really pay attention to anything other than their voices. Ichigo's is sort of weird...but I think Rukia's is right on the dot. I can't wait until I hear Renji and Kenpachi's voices.XD

(Speaking of which, I need to glue the shoes back on my Kenpachi plushie...)

ARGH! My dog ate BOTH of my PS2 controllers. No more PS2 for me...but wait! My brother bought another controller! Woo! brother bought an Xbox 360. I like the look of it and all (and how it's super easy to understand all of the buttons and stuff), but the graphics and the glitches and price range and practically everything else sucks. So, my opinion on the Xbox 360: No. He was going to buy a regular Xbox because he didn't even WANT the Xbox 360, but NO ONE IN ALL OF ALBUQUERQUE had one that was for sale. Not even a used one. And because he is so impatient, he bought the 360.

      I'm buying a PS3. I don't care if it's expensive. I need it like I need my fruit punch.

And...I'm off to finish listening to my Monty Python soundtracks.

    • I got a new puppy...well, dog

I adopted...another dog. My mom, brother and I were in Petco buying more fish, and they had a few kittens and cats up for adoption and I asked if we could adopt one (we already have one, and we had another one but he was killed by coyotes). She mumbled something and then sent my brother and I off in search of...dogs. Yes, she wanted another dog. We already have one 7 year old German Shepherd (last weighed in at...120 lbs.) and she wanted another dog. But, hey, I'm not complaining. I'm a total animal lover. Anyways, I got distracted by the ferrets so my brother had to venture out on his own for the dogs. Sadly, Petco did not have any.

A few days later we went to the AHA (of New Mexico, of course) and looked at their dogs. We found this really cute hound mix (although I think he has some boxer or pit bull in him) named Remmy. He had been brought in to the shelter a few days earlier after he had been found in a drain pipe in Ship Rock, NM. Poor thing. Anyways, he's slightly small...but he just turned 1, so whatever. Sadly, we could not bring him home yet because he still had a few days left to see if anyone came and claimed him. So we pre-adopted him.

On Wednesday we can go and pick him up. After he gets neutered.

Hopefully our dog and cat (and fish) will like him.

On a side note, my nine year old guniea pig died four days ago. I swear he was immortal. I always bragged to everyone that I had an immortal guniea pig. Guniea pigs are only supposed to live between 3 and 5 years. Chester was nine. But, he finally died. I'll miss ya, buddy.

Our scavenger fish died just seconds after him. I guess he just couldn't live without Chester...even though I doubt Chester knew he existed because Chester was pretty much blind....

So that concludes my chronicles of my pets.

Here's a picture of our new dog. It's not that great because phone cameras suck.
(Nevermind. I lost the link.XD I'll upload it later.)
