I found a nice site dedicated towards CCW and whatnot. It is Combat Carry They have a forum. I joined. You can prolly find some people in your area. It seems like a nice little community. And you won't have to deal with anti-gun dipshits. They also have a nice little trading post setup. Havoc, stay away. They have some good deals smiley0.gif

Also for you Pennsylvanians, PAFOA, the PA version of it, I also have a membership there. Another nice trading post setup too. Some great deals. Again, seems like a real nice online community.

I think my fellow firearms enthusiasts should give at least combat carry a look. I go by Sicario on them both

.223 is going to be getting harder to find and more expensive for the next two years. So say my sources at least. Stock up

Sig 226 Custom. It is a custom because it is a 226 Equinox chambered for 9mm. They only make the 226 Equinox in .40

      Similar but not the same
      226EQXrt.jpg

I put it on layaway today. So I won't have it here for a few weeks until it is all payed off. The 1911 is being sold to my room-mate Dave. He has been looking for a .45, more specifically a 1911, and he really like mine, so I figure what the hell.

I will have two Sigs and two XDs then. Two .45s and two 9mms.

That was my day. What have you guys been up to?

      Anyone have any ideas?

So I will be getting rid of the 1911 and the XD45. What smiley11.gifsmiley10.gifsmiley11.gifsmiley10.gif
Don't worry. I will be getting something else. I have decided I like the Sig platform so much, I am going to splurge on another one. Prolly going to go with a 226 or 229. Not sure if I want 9mm or .40. The new Sig Elite series are really nice. P229Eliteright.jpg

But I am leaning towards the Equinox.
      226EQXrt.jpg

I hate to admit it Dash, you were right. I am officially a Sig convert. I was going to sell the Sig 220 for a fancier Sig, but can't do it. Too attached. The XD9 will still be my carry. Unless Sig comes out with a compact I really like. But so far they don't. The 232 is really damn nice, but it does not impress me 100% over the XDSC. I am going to bastardize the XDSC too. Going to put some tritiums on it, duracoat it, and throw the XML on it too.

Too bad this hobby is so freaking expensive.

ALSO. Anyone watch the Discovery channel mini series "Planet Earth"? It is really quite good. Amazing actually. Great footage of amazing creatures.

I received my package from this site. I ordered about 3 days ago. It was downstairs this morning. I bought some Pearce mag floor plates for my XD subcompact, and some mag bumpers for the Sig. I have to say I will order from this site again. Service was very very good.

A car is not designed to kill however.

How would removing weapons from people lead to a safer place?
You hurt/kill people with weapons. If only to cut down on accidental gun deaths, there’s more than enough evidence to support a ban. There’s no logic on earth that would support the idea that more weapons makes for a peaceful society, especially when America is easily the most violent in the West.

How many are dead because of guns? The alive don’t count, because they’re alive, but the dead have been killed because of an arrogant right. Once again, I’m not against the laws, I’d just like to hear a rational for them that doesn’t include some meathead, bullshit answer like “they make us safeâ€Â, because while you may be able to shoot a criminal, you can just as easily shoot yourself or another. Plus, what gives you the right to kill someone else? What’s wrng with mace? Mace fucking hurts like hell.

Also, why is it only Americans who hold this belief en masse? If it was so obvious, and worked, wouldn’t more? And if so, then why don’t other nations have higher violent crime rates than America?

People are the problem, I agree. The people who create laws for and against laws. The kind who think they need a gun for defense.

Also, don't rtalk to me about not understanding rights. Number one, I'm here talking to you overly-violent and poison tongued bastards, atking crap after crpa, trying to understand this right that I don't have (nor would want). Number two, don't fucking try the condicending crap just because you have a hard on for the military. You arn't the only bastards who serve your country. You may run head on into a battlefield, but I'll run head on into a riot, fighting for rights like the ones you claim I'm too elitist to understand.

And I'll fucking do ti without a gun.
So show some respect if you ever want any in return.

    • Duste

      Actually, here you go:

How about this for a question Sicario; why is it that gun "afficionados" are willing to threaten revolution and murder whenever their second ammendment is infringed upon, yet don't have the same reaction to other fringments on their rights? Taking guns away from the people would logically lead to fewer gun deaths, even just considering the number of accidental deaths and crimes of passion. So, how do you defend the fact that you're for the removal of some rights for increased security, yet arn't willing to give away a weapon in the name of greater security on your very streets?

As you said yourself, "Sacrifice the rights of a few for the good of many? I say yes. If it has to be done."
Time to sacrifice a right you care about.

Oh I love teachers, the ones who WANT to teach. I'm tired of dealing with the ones who are "tenured" in this state and you CAN NOT FIRE THEM! How stupid is that? So once they hit that point they can coast and it's very very hard to force them out. I know some awesome teachers, they care, they love what they do, it's all they can imagine doing...those are the best.

I really don't have an opinion on the matter of whether or not we're "agents of Israel." All i'm saying is that what the security checkpoint guards did was wrong. You should atleast watch a couple minutes of that video. It has nothing to do with what you were talking about. It's about how the security guards at the airports in Israel are mistreating women and children of Arab desecent.

Yeah, he's one hell of a guy. It's a cool gift and something to remember a good co-worker by, his wife didn't want any of them in the house after he is gone...nothing for the kids to stumble up on . It's a great gift, I'll post pics and stuff in a journal soon.

    • RBuffordTJ

Not right off the top of my head....I'm enjoying the journals. I will post one about this but I figured you would enjoy the fact. I went to see my old Lt. yesterday, the one I journaled about who has cancer, and before I left he said he wanted me to have something and gave me his Sig Sauer P232 .380 auto. It was his backup gun he carried for some years. It's in great shape and he gave me ammo and holsters for it. I was a little shocked at it but honored none the less. Just figured you could appreciate it.

Not a thing, its soft lead bird shot. Its only good for mice if your closer than 10ft, it doesn't have the power to kill anything alse. You will get a lot of FTE, theres not alot of ass behind it to cycle the action. CCI makes em.
