Haven't been here in 3 or so years. Recent drama on Facebook reminded me this place existed. Couldn't even remember my damn password.
Man I wrote some dumb shit on my journal here, except for the stuff about subway. Fuck subway.

So my band has been rehearsing some new jamiwams, and they're getting pretty juicy.
If fortune favors us, we may be playing at a venue near you in a few years!
Don't know who to look out for? Don't know the name of the band?
It is... (drum roll)

What's up with me? Lots, and little.
I'm enjoying many luxuries, such as a fancy job at Subway. Im working on a bachelor's degree in music (classical guitar being my main area of study). You want recommendations for some kewl classical guitar tunes? Check out the works of Barrios, Sor, and Legnani.
Haven't gotten around to recording myself yet, but I may soon head down to Cypress Street Cafe and audition for a fancy restaurant performance job. They have to open up that swanky rooftop pavilion first though, they already have a piano guy in their ground dining area.
Classical isn't the only thing I'm doing though, I'm accumulating some experience in the Jazz area as well. I'm in a Jazz band organized by the school, we get sent around to do gigs and get paid and stuff, it's pretty sweet.
We did a concert, a jazz concert, with DJ Logic as a guest. The drummer wrote this song. Check it out.
But Classical and Jazz aren't the only things I'm into! My roommates and I have been doing some heavy jamming. Rock/Metal/Psychedelic sauce. We've recorded several of our jams, but since we pretty much just make them up as we go along they're mostly suckish. However there are juicy moments in those recordings and I assure you...
The awesome is coming.
I'm not gonna reveal the name of this band, but I will say that we will journey to places which no Gandalf has ever gone to before.
Do forgive me for totally not bro-ing down on here much anymore. As you can imagine I'm not exactly swimming in time-juice.
So... whats uuuuuuup?

So I moved into a house (duplex) with some of my friends, right? And I was all like "hey dude do you need any poster tack" And he was all like "no I'm too old for posters." I'm older than he is, and I have posters all over the place.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY
Now excuse me while I eat a bowl of lucky charms and watch Scooby Doo

My fellow interneticans, it is that time of the year again. A time of joy and celebration. A time when man can look at his fellow man and say, "Today is a good day"
Yes, I think we all know what I'm talking about.
It is 7-11 day. The day of free slurpys.
Every 7 11, me and my friends go around to every 7 11 in town (since we are only allowed 1 slurpy at a given location) and slurp our slurpys until there are no more slurpys to be slurped.
I hope to god that you have a 7 11 near you so that even YOU can partake in this beautiful tradition.
(how do you spell slurpy?)

Yeah, so Summer is here.
Thank you guys for the well wishes and concerns concerning my mother and my family, meant alot.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure I did pretty good on all of my finals. I have my next year mapped out pretty much, got my roommate, pretty cool dude, staying in a pretty good residence hall.
Anyway, so it's the end of the school year, and I think we all know what that means, it's a special occasion that comes around only once a year.
You guessed it, it's dumpster diving season.
You know... since rich kids' fancy compact sports cars are too small for all of their material possessions for their drive home, they have to throw some shit into a dumpster. And as we all know, it's usually their biggest stuffs that have to go, no matter how hard the objects are for them to part with.
So I picked the dumpster next to the sophomore dorm that I will be residing in for the fall semester, and I tell you, there was a perfectly nice couch, sitting right at the top of it:
It's insanely comfortable, like you wouldn't believe, oh my humble droogies, should be nice for my and my buddies room in the fall.
So after a little rummaging through the dumpster, I found this in a box:
That's right, it's a fully functional 32 inch LCD tv. And I got it for free, biatch.
I didn't feel the need to dig anymore after that, even though I'm sure I would have found some compliments to the tv, like maybe a dvd player, or possibly some sort of sound system, either way, I was happy enough with my haul, and I called a friend with a truck and took the couch and the tv home.
Anyway, remember: first dumpster I found, didn't even look through it that much. Imagine if I kept digging, or just skimmed the top of another dumpster. Happy hunting, mien freunds.

My mom passed away at 12:25 AM.
Two years ago she was diagnosed with colon cancer, which progressed to stage IV last spring.
She started showing signs of getting better, but then in January they found that the cancer had spread all over her body, and tumors had formed in her lungs and she began to have trouble breathing, and that was the beginning of the end. Nearly two weeks ago she was finally hooked up to an oxygen tank, given pain drugs, put in a wheel chair, and we all began preparing for her upcoming death.
She lived a most precious life, as a pre-school teacher she impacted the lives of many children, as well as everybody else she met, with her joy, her patience, and her caring personality. And even though I was a troublesome son she treated me with the same patience and love and she raised me as best she could. I'll miss her.
I'd like to thank you all for the well wishes and prayers, they mean alot and they're constantly reminding me of the countless people that I really have on my side.

So after the most action packed summer I'll probably ever live through, I have returned, and I have come with a vengeance.
I'm in college and stuff now so you'll probably see me dwelling the interwebz religiously once more.
New single off the new Muse album, it's pretty epic.
