a'right - I actaully remember my password once again - and came in here to find a totally rewamped wonderful rvb site
will be fun to surf around a bit and see who is still around from the crazy crowd... guessing by the number of journals on some of the profiles that everybody isn't gone

considering that "Red vs. Blue has 99,62199,620 Fans" on facebook, i'm guessing things are still strong for the team.

as for me? we have a new boss in the house - junior is 7 months old now, looks a lot like his old man (same short blondish hair :D ) and we are getting a heat-pump installed as I write this, in a house all of our own that we moved into early this spring.

still living and working down south, doing more "pure" web development work now than in the spring, and looking forward to some serious time off with junior during the months ahead (we are planning on doing part time both of us, as Norway has a very generous 52 week maternity leave at 80% of your salary)

      peace and hapiness!

    • New place, new job - and perhaps

some time to do other non-work stuff...!

after a bit more than a year living apart, i've moved down south to be with the gf again.
started a new job two weeks ago, it has been a complete change of pace and focus, but seems like it is going to be a lot of fun (among other things i've gotten photoshop and flash cs both installed on the laptop now :D )

the hours are normal, which for me is something all new - after nearly 10 yrs in consulting (counting assorted summer stints before graduation), i have one employer, one desk to call mine - and a very mixed set of coworkers.

And the suits are gone. FOr now the shirts are staying (mainly because i have some 40+, so it makes all kinds of sense)

Been busy moving, selling, settling in, cleaning up, making space, changing the shower and assorted other stuff. (and chillin' in the sun the last week now - pure joy to be home from work before 5!!!)

more later - good to be back, hoping some of you's are still out there...!!!

    • Travels planned and hoped for

      sparrow

just a short update, a lot going on, perhaps a bit more facts in a week or so...

      but to traveling:

Barcelona for easter, hopefully some warm days and great foodstuffs, and some pictures

Possibly Southampton either end of june or early july - ideas, suggestions very welcome (there or just london or something else all togheter... castles.... )

still having a lot of fun with the touch - mainly as a palm-top computer, and for viewing the occasional video (rvb ftw)

once again our dear car is hitting the headlines... warnings of extreme snow in the western parts of Norway (full storm winds, up to 200 cm snow!)

      And now for some numbers:
From the society of Cognac producers (BNIC), in million liters of pure alchol imported, per country:

      Norway 1,15 - that's up (another) 8,6 % from 2006

USA grand total #1 with 15,6
      then Singapore with 5,1
      UK with 3,2
      China 3,2
      Germany 2

      and we are number 6...
scary part? both Singapore and Norway are just shy of 5 million people - while the other countries have a bit more going for them in terms of market size

And I have a feeling that a bit of the Singapore stash is coming right back out from the airport* (here's looking at you down under....), making a liter pure for every four living up here seem solid enough

      so... cheers!

      ...or maybe not exactly "good" as such, but a nice experience to get and unwrap;

      Richard Figurine (Limited Edition)

      richard_figurine.gif

Arrived today, took a whole set of "unboxing" shots, will put up over the weekend most likely.

but all in all a well produced figurine, included two separate parts (bunny + flame...), and a Magic TG style card for Richard. form-fitted packaging and great box-design

      :D

Looking For Group: Volume 1, the first LFG hardcover collection, order now.

:D done... another batch coming on thursday, limited run 2 * 1000 copies

so, Russia kept their world title, after way to many faults by the norwegian team - might say we lost more than they won (missed 3 of 4 penalties in first half)

      so, to lift the mood:

      Haha.

Yeah, I don't really write many journals. Only when I have really important things that I know people are going to want to hear about (eg the wedding). I keep meaning to write ones about other things, but never get around to it.

I can't imagine what it would be like trying to catch up on some peoples journals! That would take forever.

have fun down under - remember to turn the camera right side up!

would that be upside-down then? smiley8.gif

Leeds Castle regularly has jousting events, so you may be in luck. If not, there is the Royal Armouries, they have jousting too and many cool weapons to look at... there's one in Leeds (that's the real Leeds, not Leeds Castle) which is really quite close to us, so we could theoretically meet you there too. smiley1.gif

ok Hellsing is ah.... 4 volumes... 14 eps... jumps into the story really quickly.

Trigun is 7... and a bit longer... but I really enjoyed it.

if your going for short series... go for stuff like Paranoia Agent... or L/R. Try movies like, Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed, Highlander, Spriggan.... there the type that i like...

Well, don't things like that often come with conversion software?

If not, use something like Super - it works and often is plenty good enough for a pocket sized film

Ah, Goucester, we have friends there... hmm, we may have to go in the search for inspiration smiley0.gif

As for the jousting etc. we live not too far away from one of the Royal Armouries and were hoping to hire some of the guys from the tiltyard there (we've seen them in action in the past and they're very good)

As for the Princess Bride, we may be able to work something in smiley0.gif

Do I get the impression that you like our idea, then? smiley8.gif

Sounds like things are good there for you at the moment. =)

yeah, i know about long distance relationships. Jarrad lives a state away from me, so about 8 hours away (although only an hour by plane)

I have been doing the travelling thing a lot recently too, to see him.

But soon all that will be a long distant memory- after i finish my exams, i am spending time over there, then he is moving over here at the end of the year!

      Cannot wait

Hello mate - can you do me a real big favour?

You know those lines you recorded? Could you possibly, if it's not too much trouble, rerecord the "I think Seamus does" but redo it as "I think Shannon does"

If you can't, it's no trouble, Just complications with one of the characters means I have to record it and I'd rather not go around as the girl called Seamus :P

Thanks for the lines btw. They are very very good :D No real editing for me!

Our house is on such a big hill that if we ever got flooded most of the british isles would be in the atlantic already smiley0.gif I lived for 8 years in York when I was at uni, and it floods there every year, so every house I've had since has been on a hill. I did drive past a lot of the floods at the weekend, it's strange seeing trees half submerged and cows standing on a little island in what used to be a field. smiley0.gif
You're right about the kids versions, why be ashamed of the target audience, I certainly never "grew up" - I just can afford more toys now.
