      I stand here
      on the edge
      looking out into
      what will never be

      Its all there before me
      close enough to touch
      yet farther then
      the furthest star

      I stand on the brink
      infront of me
      the abyss
      yet I cannot fall

      The darkness drops
      away into nothing
      down to where time
      no longer exists

I stand with my back to hell
      as I face another
      worse then the last
      yet better then before

      Out of the frying pan
      and into the ice
      this time its cold
and no fire to light my way

      I stand here
      on the edge
      looking out into
      what will never be

For a while now I've tried to keep personal stuff out of my journals for the sake of not echoing myspace. It seems to me that having an online "journal" with personal accounts of your life is kind of strange. However I am still stagnating in terms of content so I decided to propose this as a question to anyone who happens to read my journals.

Do you want to read about personal stuff?

Despite the want (and in some cases, need) to write I haven't generated anything interesting or readable over the past month or two. I've meant to do many things, yet none of them have been accomplished.

      1. The first, and most applicable, failed goal was to write more journal entries here on RoosterTeeth. I've sat down at this text box about 5 or 6 times trying to get something interesting down. Sorry to everyone who actually cares what I have to say.

      2. My school essays and assignments have been lacking too. Actually got a "no grade" on one for just complaining the whole way through.

      3. For the past few years of my life I've spent lots of free time just thinking up little stories in my head which I've been meaning to get down on paper or in digital form. Have I made any progress? Nope.

In Closing. More to come soon? I damn well hope so.

Up late working on a paper; statistics is unbelievably boring. I've heard it can be fun but I guess my teacher sucks. Thats what people have been telling me at least.

In other news, my boss bought a macbook pro. I'm jealous.

Well, a few of you happen to know who Nubs (Bryan) is. It turns out he dislocated his shoulder on Thursday playing ultimate frisby. It sounds like he was trying to spike the frisbee and his shoulder just popped out.

Supposedly its gonna take him a few weeks to recover. >_<

    • Tait is Jesus

      spyyddir

      Tait is Jesus

Tait, known here as genevabeagle, is the third coming of Jesus. "Third? What about the second coming?" you ask. Well, there was a second coming, but the fetus was aborted. This is the real reason why the church is against abortion.

But I digress; Tait, as the title says, is the third coming of Jesus. There is proof!

1:: Tait looks much like Jesus. He has pretty much the exact same haircut and is similar in stature.

2:: Tait acts like Jesus. He is very kind to everyone and tries to offer help whenever he can.

3:: Tait knows things no one could. Once, during class, one of the students commented that his friend had "locked" his iPod and he needed the four number combo to unlock it. Remembering that Tait was indeed Jesus the student asked him for four random numbers and Tait replied quickly. The student entered the numbers into his iPod and was astonished when it unlocked. Everyone looked up awe-struck and Tait, being extremely modest, left the room blushing at the attention and went to find his Chekoslovakian girlfriend.

Tait will try and argue against all of this because he is extremely modest but it is all true.

Technically I didn't have to pull the trailer. I did so merely to make things easier down the road. The week before a movie comes out we usually pull the preview off a movie (doesn't make a whole lot of sense to advertise a movie that's already out...we leave televisions to do that. And it's worse it we don't actually get the movie).

So, I jumpped the gun and pulled the trailer a couple weeks early. Honestly, I was getting rather sick of it anyway. Not one that's high on my list of films to see in '007.

      TCM: The Beginning?

      Whats that?

"Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning". It's the sequel to the Biel...pardon me...the prequel to the Biel film a few years back. It's not the same director from last time (he went on to do this summer's Pathfinder), and Biel isn't in it (Fast & the Furious hottie Jordanna Brewster is the star this time). Pretty much all the principal cast (the bad guys, including R Lee Emrey) are returning.

You forgot "elastic" layouts. Sizing using ems. Using this method makes the layout change with text size. Its pretty slick, but kind of difficult to implement well.

Oh and there's a javascript thingy that lets you serve different css files to different resolutions.

Woah... I never read what the EMs do before. I don't know for sure if I'll adopt that, though, unless I know how stuff like screen-magnifiers and stuff like that work. If people enlargen the text, I don't know if I would want that to effectively zoom in the entire site or not. It's a very cool concept, though.

And as for JavaScript... meh. I don't like using JavaScript, since the DOM is so frigging fickle. Nothing works in more than one or two browsers, so I just like to work with CSS and HTML alone. I used to know JavaScript, but it never seemed to have a good enough use in general webdev.

It was the site about a guy, a bet and his girlfriend. It did look a bit suss, and as the day went on the guy kept adding new ways for himself to make more money, which someone pointed on in a comment. I wouldn't want someone to actually donate, so I removed it.

I was lucky with my 360 order, left it till about two weeks before release, when every site had sold out early September. Had some 'insider' news of a shop that hadn't previously announced anything regarding their sale. Bought two Premium packs, one small hitch when they turned up, one was a core, that was sorted within a week or two though. Plus, one of the packs was for my dads wifes, friend. Not to mention the credit card company declined the payment a few days before shipping, still everything panned out.
