When the Himalayan peasant meets the he-bear in his pride,
He shouts to scare the monster, who will often turn aside.
But the she-bear thus accosted rends the peasant tooth and nail.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.

When Nag the basking cobra hears the careless foot of man,
He will sometimes wriggle sideways and avoid it if he can.
But his mate makes no such motion where she camps beside the trail.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.

When the early Jesuit fathers preached to Hurons and Choctaws,
They prayed to be delivered from the vengeance of the squaws.
'Twas the women, not the warriors, turned those stark enthusiasts pale.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.

Man's timid heart is bursting with the things he must not say,
      For the Woman that God gave him isn't his to give away;
But when hunter meets with husbands, each confirms the other's tale â€"
The female of the species is more deadly than the male.

Man, a bear in most relations â€" worm and savage otherwise, â€"
Man propounds negotiations, Man accepts the compromise.
Very rarely will he squarely push the logic of a fact
To its ultimate conclusion in unmitigated act.

Fear, or foolishness, impels him, ere he lay the wicked low,
To concede some form of trial even to his fiercest foe.
Mirth obscene diverts his anger â€" Doubt and Pity oft perplex
Him in dealing with an issue â€" to the scandal of The Sex!

But the Woman that God gave him, every fibre of her frame
Proves her launched for one sole issue, armed and engined for the same,
And to serve that single issue, lest the generations fail,
The female of the species must be deadlier than the male.

She who faces Death by torture for each life beneath her breast
May not deal in doubt or pity â€" must not swerve for fact or jest.
These be purely male diversions â€" not in these her honour dwells.
She the Other Law we live by, is that Law and nothing else.

She can bring no more to living than the powers that make her great
As the Mother of the Infant and the Mistress of the Mate.
And when Babe and Man are lacking and she strides unclaimed to claim
Her right as femme (and baron), her equipment is the same.

      She is wedded to convictions â€" in default of grosser ties;
Her contentions are her children, Heaven help him who denies! â€"
He will meet no suave discussion, but the instant, white-hot, wild,
Wakened female of the species warring as for spouse and child.

Unprovoked and awful charges â€" even so the she-bear fights,
Speech that drips, corrodes, and poisons â€" even so the cobra bites,
Scientific vivisection of one nerve till it is raw
And the victim writhes in anguish â€" like the Jesuit with the squaw!

So it comes that Man, the coward, when he gathers to confer
With his fellow-braves in council, dare not leave a place for her
Where, at war with Life and Conscience, he uplifts his erring hands
To some God of Abstract Justice â€" which no woman understands.

And Man knows it! Knows, moreover, that the Woman that God gave him
Must command but may not govern â€" shall enthral but not enslave him.
And She knows, because She warns him, and Her instincts never fail,
That the Female of Her Species is more deadly than the Male.

      And Immortality.

We slowly droveâ€'He knew no haste

We passed the fields of Gazing Grainâ€'
      We passed the Setting Sunâ€'

      Or ratherâ€'He passed Usâ€'
The Dews drew quivering and chillâ€'
      For only Gossamer, my Gownâ€'

Men and women are different, in case you didn't know, however most people don't know that the biggest difference between men and women is one you can't see. That’s the way that pur brains are made. You see women have sherbet and butterflies, and cats with hats, and all sorts of cute things in their heads, and I'm not being insulting by saying this, because with all of the unicorns, and fairies, they are magically able to transport information along the neural pathways of women at a completely mind-boggoling speed... If you've ever overheard two girls chatting, you would totally understand this... also for all of the guys out there who have to pay a girls mobile phone bill, it's about the most painful thing in the world, women have to go through child birth, men have to pay the phone bill. How do girls just sit and talk on the phone for hours... it's all of the magical creatures living in their heads it is... however... men’s brains are made up of filing cabinets... I'm honest here... in a mans brain there are rows and shelves of filing cabinets, he'll have song lyrics in one cabinet, he'll have guitar riffs in another, on the same isle, a few isles over he will have his favourite movie quotes, a few more over there will be the house hold tips cabinet, in there you will find instructions on how to do laundry. This is scientific fact. Now allot of people tell me that I'm pretty clever, I attribute this to my subconscious ability to file away pieces of information... pretty much anything I hear gets placed in a draw, and if it's interesting it gets a yellow posits note stuck on it for me to pull out at random times, incidentally 'did you know that the staple food in Mongolia is cheese made from horse milk that they make on the roof of their yurt, which is a yack skin tent?' Well apparently I do... however I occasionally have some filing problems, and a piece of information will get incorrectly stored and say I accidentally filed my favourite recipe for muffins under the colour blue, then it will be like this. My friend will say "Wow, isn't that a lovely shade of blue that that Monaro has?" to which I will respond "Don’t forget to add half a teaspoon of coconut extract to make the flavour a little nuttier." And he'll give me a really weird look, and for some reason that always makes song lyrics from the mid 90’s cpme to mind, so I’ll add “...you’re my Wonderwall.†And they’ll look at me even weirder and meanwhile inside their head they're taking my file out of the 'Cool people' category and putting me on the 'loonies' pile, or if it's a girl I'm talking to they are totally like "UNICORN ATTACK!"

Friends... I'm here today to talk to you about the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Today my message is directed that those in the audience who are either new to Church, or you’ve been here for a while but wish that you were on your couch at home instead, or even fore people who this is your first time in Church, I’m going to talk about being a Christian, how to become one, and what it means. Have you ever heard the Good news? The Good news simply put is that Jesus Christ came to earth and sacrificed himself for all of us, so that we might know God the Father, and re-enter into relationship with Him. Today I hope I can clear up some questions you may hold in your hearts about this. Did you know that it's the Lords will that none should perish? The bible says clearly in

2 peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Why do you think God wants you to repent and be saved? It's not because of anything we have done, or deserved, or because of how nice we dress or our awesome hair, it’s not because we are nice people, or because we give to world vision... it's because God created us! The bible says he knew us even before we were conceived, that he planned out our lives, and that he truly knows best for us!

Psalm 139:16 "Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. "

Some people in this room think that they haven’t sinned… the facts are that any unloving action is a sin. Fighting with your neighbour, telling your wife she let herself go, promising your wife a great anniversary and forgetting, men please take notes, also our attitudes can be unloving, and therefore sinful… and the truth is that no one is sin free… weather it was eating the last piece of carrot cake you brother asked you to leave for him, or else beating up an old person,

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.â€Â

All... you, me, everyone... everyone you know, and everyone you will ever know has sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. The facts are that we can’t control our sinful impulses… the flesh is weak, and we will never be able to stop ourselves from sinning. But there is good news...

Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

This is even more beautiful an act that you may think… Jesus did not only die and pay our price for all of our sins, but he also by his Grace gives us the power to live sin free, and guilt free. Now some of you will be asking why did Jesus need to die for my sins? Well the answer is simple.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

So the truth of the matter is that someone needed to die for your sins in order for justice to be had... Perfect Grace, and Perfect Law could not compromise, so God being perfect love took it upon himself to die for our sins in order that we may have eternal life! What a gift!

Some of you may have a hasher view of God... I believe that there are people here who see God as a Judge, who wants to crack down his gavel and pass sentence on this world... Friends I have to tell you, if you judged me by what someone else told you of me, and weren’t willing to re-evaluate your impression of me after you met me already I would think you might miss something. When talking about Gods intentions for the world the Bible says:

John 3:17 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

If you are in this place and you have only ever had a head knowledge of Jesus and not truly known him in your heart and when pressed for an answer you don't know 100% that you're going to heaven have the answer you need to obtain salvation, but it's not my words, this is what the word of God says:

Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

If any person here is not 100% certain of their salvation then I ask you to be bold and make a decision, raise your hand and I will come and pray with you to receive salvation. All you need to do is be brave and make the decision to let Jesus pay your debt, and give you a brand new life. The bible uses the term new creation in 2 Corinthians 5:17… It’s as if we aren’t even the same species anymore… we change from being a goat to being a sheep. If anyone wants that second chance then here it is.

OK, please pray with me now "Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for me, and paid for all of my sins. I ask that you make me a new creation, and that you would show me your plan for my life, and that you would be with me everyday of my life. Amen.â€Â

You’ve just made the most important decision you will ever make… your name is now in the Lambs book of life, your salvation assured. Right now there is a party going on in heaven because you decided to make God number one in your life. Congratulations my new brothers and sisters.

Less than halfway in and it's still the best conferance I have been to in a long time. 'Go' runs yearly, and this year I wasn't going to attend untill I won tickets in an art show. Today I went to go, left after lunch to go to bible college, then when I came back I made friends with a group of guys visiting the Gold Coast for the conferance, from chichila... they are awesome... the only downside is that my moped too much fuel... I will have to talk to the dealer, because I bought it new, so it shouldn't be screwing up... in any case I will get it sorted! yay!

So... I finnally figured out all of my health issues. Apparently I contacted Epstein Bar Virus (glandular fever) 9 months ago and have been recovering ever since, so I have been more suceptable to colds and viruses, and because I have been recovering I have gained weight over the past couple of months, and my chronic faetegue symptoms have also been explained by this. Good news is that my specialist charles has a treetment that will put me completely in the right, bad news is that it will make me pretty sick for a couple of days when I take it... so I'm waiting for a good oportunity.

In the last three days I have come down with strep throat, and thats really not pleasant... sleep was denied me lastnight as when I lay on my back my nasal fluid filled my throat cutting off my air supply, and when I lay on my side I dribbled so insesantly that my saliva ran down my cheek and covered my face andthen set cold... all told I lost about a litre of fluid from salivating lastnight... and then I started halusinating due to the sleep depravation and the extreme pain... I saw myself as a forest wizard fighting for my freedom from the spotted people... really really odd. Also I am getting blood tests to figure out whats wrong with my metabolism... I suspected hypothyroidism, and cushings... I have to wait 10 days to get my next blood test though.
Things have started to appear to be clearing up in terms of what I'm doing with myself... I have been working in a caffe on slave wages for going on three months, and have recently been re-offered the position of 'lacky' for my older brother on the humanitarian mission to Papua New Ginea... basically I think that my position is to become sort of a liason for the locals, so I am focusing on developing my pigon english as soon as I arrive. Already the oportunity for pranks are streaming into my mind... I am already working out how I am going to make a sign for the village that we will be building for the nursing and building staff... "Whitefellaville" seems somwhat appropriate. The trip still seems to be atleast 2 months off, but I would be supprised if I am not overseas within 6 months. The foundation seems to be going really well... today I heared about the 33 million dollar plane we are aquiring, to more swifly travel arround south east asia, and the 40 metre catermeran with three levels, including a clinic to help out in the solomon islands. I am hoping that I will either advance within the organisation and be sent out to scout potential areas to build hospitals, or at least get a kick ass letter of recomendation, to get me a job somwhere else equally exciting.
