Oh hey look. It's raining outside.

Man, I love having my desk at a window.

PS: The rainbow was also nice.

This time, I didn't try to follow it.

And now for a journal that doesn't have a song title for a title.

So, here's what happened. Actually, this story is kinda boring.... but anyhow, you know it's kind of a bad thing to spill liquids on or near any electronic thingamajigger, right? Well, I usually have a cup of water near by. It's kind of a habit. Of course, the smart thing I was, I was looking for something on my desk in the middle of the night and knocked over about a half a cup of water, which got all over my wacom tablet, sneaked across the desk under part of my laptop, and barely attacked the corner of my perspective project which I set on top of my laptop.

Of course, I then turned on the light (BRILLIANT I R) and wiped the most of my desk. I also unhooked the cover from my wacom, wiped it down and set it on my chair.

Mkay, now here's the fun part.

      Wacom doesn't work D:
The scroll function and back/forward click does though. So it's not dead. It's also off warranty by like a month or two.

So we cracked it open. After many struggles and such and such, there was a small thing of water trapped in, so I wiped it off. Plus I wiped it down with some rubbing alcohol.

Some phone shots (since I don't have a digital cam really):
      img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/Zeis_75/Photos/tablet-open.png

Uh, I also broke my scroll button in the process of trying to open it...
      tablet-broke.png

I was able to get things back into place :D
      tablet-fix.png
But it scrolls only up now D:
Not that I really used it anyway. I use the touchpad sides instead.

Actually, the fault behind how I broke my scroll button would be that half the screws are hidden behind pads. Yeah... I thought it was weird to only undo two screws...
      img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/Zeis_75/Photos/tablet-finished.png
And it ended happily ever after! For the most part any how.

It works like it should now.

      The End.

      img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/Zeis_75/Drawrings/perswip.png

I didn't feel like sizing it down for a journal.

I've got a lot to do still. Namely, the rest of that wall, the other side, and the water.
Then I wanna go over some of it with a charcoal pencil.
Then I'd like to mat it on black.

If all goes well, that's going to create a gradient-like effect between the really dark printout and the graphite. Which I guess also works with perspective since things far away tend to be a tad darker than things up front, I think.

      Something like that.

Geeze, isn't there a quieter way to type in this house? >_<

I'm at my parents for the night. And I swear there are two tumbleweeds out in the front yard. But I'm sneaking in an entry before I go try to snooze.

Looking for my lost blue paperclip earring that fell out in my sleep last night, of which I eventually found, I ended up pulling out a bunch of boxes from under my former bed. Since they were out, I decided to loot through the ol' dusty toybox. Basically, the most of the old toys crammed and forgotten in a cardboard box under my bed.

      Smelt like childhood alright.

After taking out the large, obnoxious, useless boring stuff (like that thingy of a train with animal head buttons that made noises), I started digging through all the junk. Most of it's all old McDonalds toys. You know, from those really neat happy meals that would become a building so you can play with the toy it comes with. Before we all knew McDonalds was going to be the cause of your death. First thing I noticed was this ambulance transformer.

      Neat.

There were a couple Animaniacs things in there too. One with Dot on a bike and Yakko and what's his face hitching a ride with. Her legs peddle when it rolls across the surface!

Man, toys of a decade ago seem so simple. And kinda crappy, haha.

I know there's quite a bit of 'parade' type stuff. Pretty much they were toys that would do something when it rolled across a table (i.e. Kermit spinning while holding up Ms Piggy) and you'd be able to link 'em up to other toys that were similar (like a spinning Barbie figurine).

I did find a couple of things I'm taking. The first one is a little plastic dinosaur. Mostly because it first reminded me of Wash from Firefly and secondly, it's a dinosaur. The second is a penguin. From one of those things where the penguins go click-click-click up a set of stairs and roll down a winding slide, only to repeat the process. I'm sure I can find a spot for them in my room somewhere.

I'm also considering attempting to repaint them with my acrylics since they're a tad scratched up.

      So what's in your toybox?

Apparently, I'm awesome at drawing bricks. Like, old brick buildings and all that. In Venice.

I have to admit, I am pretty awesome. Hopefully, I'm right in thinking that I'm making good time with my piece.

What we're doing is pretty much expanding a photo or something. Pretty much slap a picture in the middle of a large piece of paper and continue the photo on the paper.

I chose this. Unfortunately, it printed out all dark and stuff so... uh yeah. None of the details correlate in my rendition of the expansion XD

Like the fact I have no windows going on :D

Like anyone can tell from a tiny dark print out.

I had a depressing thought this afternoon about how I'm probably one of those haughty artists that think they're superior to everyone else.

Then I figured that if I really were one of those people, then I'd've hated being placed in Drawing I instead of something higher. But, yanno, I'm pretty happy with it; it's one of my favorite classes. Mostly because it gives me a starting point and I can pretty much do my own thing from there.

I also logged into DeviantArt for the first time in a really long while the other day. And now I'm hella confused at all this licensing and print making option steps added to the file submission. Personally, I think it's a bit much, but I guess dA is doing it to cover their asses with all the art stealing and copyright issues that seem apparent. And prints seem a bit 'in your face' at the place. I mean, I don't really wanna mix art with business at the moment. I guess that might just be me though.

Thoughts for the day, I guess.

I haven't really been around. Maybe I should do somebowdis!

Or I could just write a really long journal and leave it at that for some long while and just pop in for another. Woohoo, not like I have anything truly interesting or amazing to write about. I just write. Of course, anything interesting that's happened, I can make incredibly boring and uneventful.

      Mah well, ramblings ahead.

Been to school for a week already. Was boring. All syllabus and intro to school year talk. Blah. Absolutely little to nothing been happening in my classes.

I'm taking digital arts so that I get to work with "the wonders of photoshop". I dunno 'bout allay'all, but I personally think photoshop is absolutely nothing special. Not only that, but I still haven't formed an opinion about my digiarts teacher. I don't despise her, but she's not among one of my favorites. She's got an emphasis for realism and photography, which is something I know I desperately need to improve in, but I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that she was surprised I was taking drawing I. Sure, I don't have a frickin' sketchbook filled to the brim with disciplined realism studies and crap, but still. Don't mean I can't draw.

In a sense, I feel kinda stuck down here. Only sometimes. Ain't sure o' what it is. I guess I could blame it on being pretty horrible at keeping in touch with people.

It's kinda odd. I love conversation when it presents itself. But when it comes to keeping in touch, I hate making that two minute phonecall with the stagnant classic questions of "how's school?" and "life goin' alright, for ya?" with the other party doing nothing to contribute. It's just okay, yes, no, I'm alright. There's no new material. A lack of story. No opinion. Sterile.

I suppose I could come out of the quiet and bring up subjects and start the conversation. But then that itself isn't foolproof. I also hate just being the one talking. I talk to myself enough, I don't need to hear myself talk in monologues.

Sure, me talk? What the hell? Since when did I ever hold a conversation that didn't consist of questions to get the other party talking more? Haha, not to mention I ain't skilled enough to not stumble all over my words like a rough draft shredded through the editing and rewriting process nor can I tell a great story. Sure, I may seem a tad eloquent through writing, but usually only half formed thoughts make it outside my mouth.

Maybe I should have taken drama at one point.

I gotta get going on this mock bibliography for creative writing. Mostly so it's outta the way so I can do a quick draw up of something that includes a full value range. It was a challenge from drawing I that was presented for the weekend. I'll probably pick something boring and simple for it so it's quick.

And the nagging is almost exactly like my mother. Except my mother constantly compares me to my brothers.... who are technically my stepbrothers.... but that's a whole other story only if you're interested......

Anyway, she basically assumes that I'm going to totally screw up my life just like they did if I don't just completely kowtow to everything she says.... she's also extremely hyprocritical and ingnorant, but I guess I love her anyway..... smiley4.gif

I was hoping to just get it to you so you wouldn't have to worry, but I figured I'll just be straight and tell you it might be a little while longer.... smiley7.gif

#1 Ah. smiley0.gif My curiosity is satisfied.
#2 Oh, I get it now.
#3 Psychonauts? The name is familiar but I can't remember what the game was about...
#4 Y'know, the bit of your user-profile that has your favourite books and films and TV shows and stuff. You only have music (btw: Yay, They Might Be Giants!), books and games filled in... and you only have your favourite system in the games section.

Also, that reminds me: When's your birthday? I have a calendar that reminds me of dates and stuff and I like to add my friends' birthdays to it because I have a terrible memory.
Oh, and how tall are you? in case I do a comic.
If that's okay to put you in a comic I mean, I'm planning to start sketching for a comic soon, it probably won't be finished for a while since I have some hand-ins to prioritise for, but I'll probably work on it as a bit of a release in whatever free time I get.
In fact I'm putting up a journal in a minute...

Four quick questions before I go:
#1 What ethnic extraction are you from? Just asking because of the tanned tone of your cartoon-self made me curious. Well, actually I'm naturally curious, I mean, I generally ask anyone with an accent about their nationality... anyway...
#2 What does AZ stand for
#3 Hey, how are you today?
#4 Why is it you have barely any favourites section?

      TIME FLASM!!

Actually, I think it would equal a pear, because pears are softer than apples on the inside.

Trait transfer, since worms are softer than apple's innards the softness might transfer over a bit, making soft innards to equal out the over-all "softness" of the equation of balance. I repeated wayyy to many words for my taste there....

I'm glad that you're well. Or were well at the time that you posted that reply.

The chicken: Chickens are great, we have small ones called bantoms that are about half the size of your average brown hen. We used to have them out over the garden but we had to pen them in after a few fox attacks when I was little, and also one of our neighbours had this massive cat that used to take them. We've also got ducks, they're a laugh. Raven was a good bird, though we think she was getting on, I'm not sure how old she was. Longest living hen we had was about... fifteen I think, they usually only live five to ten years.
