So, I was driving down the highway the other day when I glanced at the lane to my right. There was a car there, and the person driving that car was someone I went to middle school with. Normally, I wouldn't give two blinks about something like that, but for some reason I went full existential mode. I hadn't seen nor heard from that person in six years. It's not that that we were particularly close and I expected to and was disappointed that we didn't, it just was what it was. She was driving faster than me, so she sped past and left me behind.

Isn't it strange how things work out? Who would've thought that six years later that our lives would, in a manner of speaking, cross paths again? It's funny how you never know the last time you'll see someone, and there really isn't a way to know. You could say goodbye and they'll show up for the briefest of moments again X years later.

Life is strange. Or maybe I'm strange and life is normal. Maybe there isn't even a difference and I'm just being unnecessarily deep. Or maybe watching Inception again the other night is just making be introspective. Yeah, that's probably the reason.

    • Another Internship, Another Rejection

I've been currently searching for an internship (or a job!) for the past year now, and my success rate is still at a solid 0%. Not even a single interview. As a matter of fact, I just received an email today that I was yet again rejected from another internship without so much as an interview.

So, here's my question to anyone reading:

Have you found any tips or tricks to landing an interview that people may not commonly know? Or maybe something you've discovered one day through experience? I'd love to hear anything any of you have to say, if you do have something to share.

I'm looking forward to anyone commenting. Thank you in advance!

And there it is. I deleted every one of my old journal entries. Why?

      1. They were cringe-worthy, and I can't stand cringe-worthy.
      2. If I'm going for a fresh start on this website, I might as well make it an actual fresh start.

And now it's done. Moving forward never felt so good.

So, my last visit to this website was 6 months ago... and before that I visited every month or two. It's not that I stopped watching Rooster Teeth or Achievement Hunter, it's just that I stopped participating in the community for about a year. I've never been to RTX, I've never been a sponsor, I've never been to a fan meet-up, but I have consistently watched content for six years now, and I really did like the online community during my stay here.

And now, thanks to much better time management and my currently less-complicated circumstances, I have the chance to actually participate again... and really really mean it this time.

And hey, there's a new website? And apparently it's new? Looks like as good a time as any.

I can't wait to meet old people, meet new people, see what the website has, and to enjoy myself! It may be a bot of a learning curve, since I'm much more awkward communicating online than in real-life, but it'll be interesting. So... hi!

Edit: And apparently it just so happens that it's been exactly two years since I joined this site. I don't know why it took me four years to get around to doing that, but it did. Isn't it weird that I rejoined EXACTLY on this day? It's like there's some cosmic force out there. Future me is going to read this again, I just know it.

Thank you so much! I was looking at quotes and ironically that is what motivated me to do it!

Yeah, no problem! Quotes can really make you think or get motivated or give you inspiration. It's perfect! That group was a great idea.
