I guess it takes a big homepage redesign for me to climb out of my hole and post a journal. Been on this site for 7 and a half years and I've gotten used to every other redesign so why not this one too? :)

    • One Messed Up Week

Well this week has been entirely messed up. First of all, Monday was just like a normal Monday (besides having to drive with the crappy spare donut tire.) So Tuesday roles around and I wake up to see a bunch of snow on the ground. Yay! Snow Day!!!

Anyway, Wednesday we had school, but I had a field trip for French Club that day. We leave after only having to sit in first period for 30 minutes to go to Salisbury. We saw a play called Les Trois Mousquetaires (The Three Musketeers), which was actually very well done. The performers were from New York and are on a national tour doing their play. Afterwards we went to a French restaurant called Bon Appetit (how original). The food there was excellent. The first thing we got was bread fresh out of the oven. I never thought I would ever have bread that good. The second course was escargot. Now I've never had snails before this so I was in for a surprise. For anyone that has never had snails before, it is a very weird texture. For one they were served in a plate that was essentially a large seashell filled with garlic juice/water/seaoning. Snails are not surprisingly chewy but they have a slight crunch to them that lingers. They wern't that bad, but the garlic was very overpowering. The next course was the salad. Its a shame that I don't eat salad because I'm sure it would have been great. The main course was chicken with a fantastic sauce and flavor to it served with yellow rice, brocolli, carrots, and other misc. vegetables. I don't remember having chicken that good in my life ever before. To top it off, the desert was great. It was a creampuff type thing. It was a breading type material with French vanilla ice cream and chocolate on top. I am going to have to hit up this restaurant again sometime because I don't think I can live without it. Long story short (too late) we got back to school with about 5 minutes left in class. Needless to say we never went back to class. I also got a haircut after "school" that day so now my hair is all short.

Thursday was another day without school because of a scheduled inservice. Seriously though, who calls an inservice on a Thursday? And now today, Friday, there is no school because of all of the ice and freezing rain we got on the roads. I could go for a couple of more weeks like this smiley0.gif .

Well due to the snow last night, we now have had our first official SNOW DAY!!! I love snow, especially when we get out of school because of it. The only bad part is that I have to shovel the driveway, but that's no biggie.

So the other day I had a flat tire and had to put my spare donut on the car in place of it. The flat tire had a screw sticking out of it, so logically I thought that's what was leaking air. It turned out that the screw hadn't even punctured all the way through the tire and that there was another hole somewhere else. I got my fixed tire back yesterday after having to drive to school with the crappy donut tire on it. Everything on the car is back to normal now, besides the snow covering it. Well I'm out to shovel driveways....

      -Peace

Time is flying by here. I havn't made a journal in over a month so, here it is. Luckily I'm out of school for the rest of the week for Thanksgiving break so, that's always good. Nothing very exciting has been going on here. I've just been wathcing my new favorite tv show LOST in my spare time. I've never been this hooked on a show, not even on 24, which is impossible. It's just so suspenseful. I never thought a show about people stranded on an island could be so interesting, but every episode is fresh and exciting. I can't really think of anything to write about right now, so I'll be on later when I think of something. I hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving. I'm not going anywhere for Thanksgiving but I figured I would wish everybody a good one so I don't forget. Peace.
